  1. ^Agreed to an extent. When it comes to what I like to use, the pistol feels the best to have with me. Even if a dmr does its job better.
  2. The magnum is useful if you think you can land all your shots in my opinion. It does have a pretty good killtime - it's just you can't miss, or else.
  3. No, honestly, I do. You think it's ballanced because people are just avoiding cqc more and more, or at least that's what they should be doing... this just doesn't make a whole lot of sense sinceit doesn't address the point. It'd be different if the issue was whether the boltshot is a problem to gameplay, but that's not it. I think you're confusing ballanced gameplay with a ballanced sandbox. OP refers to the latter.
  4. Plasma pistol is useful on btb. Otherwise the title belongs to the boltshot.
  5. It's rendered ballanced only in btb where it's very situational. It however, runs amock in 4v4 slayer or dominion. Its range needs to be cut down signficantly. And no, that's not how it happens. THey can do it because they think my shields are low, they could have a shotgun or sword or hammer, or they used promethean vision and don't think I have a boltshot on me. OR maybe they're just running through to help their teamates, through an otherwise open corridor, but because of the damn range I kill them very easily. Now, it doesn't matter whether they approach me or not, because the mere existence of an op weapon is a problem, regardless of whether you get kills off of it. Do you understand?
  6. A headshot is easy with its firerate and given an ounce of skill. I've done it, so I know. Of course, which is why I say probably. At the very least however it has a faster killtime than ANY primary. A plasma pistol doesn't get you the kills; the precision weapon does. Dude, I know you keep insisting this is what ballances the boltshot, but it ain't that hard to time it, especially when you're given a pretty hefty period to aim it between when it finishes charging and when it automatically fires; and, there's a lot of give and take with its spread and effective range - it is just not a hard weapon to use.
  7. Plasma pistol doesn't do headshots, and it's a slow moving projectile which takes twice as long to charge, and then the thing has to undergo cooling. Simply put, the boltshot has the same effective range as the shotguns, probably has a marginally faster kill time on average if you can score a headshot, and kills from farther away... consistently.
  8. ^when? Don't know about everyone else, but that most certainly isn't my problem. Though I expected them to be more productive, their lack of openness is the thing that gives credence to the idea of their ineptitude. Whether they are, or not, will be confirmed with their next title update of course, but as is, the lack of maps all for the sake of short-term profits is unnerving.
  9. There are moving objects that affect gameplay? Please do tell... And it's not only the weapon despawns, but the vehicles too.
  10. Children? I'm being honest with my thoughts on the matter. I've heard what are likely to be very similar rants so many times it's nonsensical to waste my time yet again, to read yet another essay on how halo isn't halo, and how the chief is a badass ************, but needs to remain inhuman to keep that sort of presence.
  11. I'm not sure, since while I like the feel of the new world, I think it belonged in halo 5 with the new counsel. As a trade off for the new, and massively improved graphics: No red x's (yes, I know this isn't confirmed, but it's the only reasonable excuse). Items on map dissapear much faster No theater for Spartan Ops or Campaign, though they may fix this eventually Blurred details when you are far away from something in the campaign, or on a large map. This 'fog' effect is also particularly noticeable on abandon, though it seems to fit with the theme too, so maybe it's by design. Lack of moving architecture, like in last resort (one of the most memorable medium sized maps from halo 3 in my opinion). Curiously enough, and as an aside to the trade offs by having the improved graphics, 343i has seemed to move away from slanted maps. They were done well in halo 3 at least, and since there aren't any here, there's a very linear makeup to most battles. A few exceptions are with the jetpack on haven, and all the blocks on solace, but still...
  12. I love how they vaguely say nothing important. It's been four weeks, and not one ballance change has been made? And no word on the forge world maps, presumably because we have a map pack upcoming. I get the PR behind it, but I'm rather dissapointed in their lack of openness after they brought us.... that.
