  2. From what you've said on the forum so far, Azaxx. However, your best friend is whoever you want it to be. So you could, hypothetically, change best friends by the time you read this. Therefor, kind of an impossible to answer question. lol
  3. S104 is Fred! But... S043 is William... and he's dead... wth? o.O Also, something you didn't quite catch, Master Chief is on the roster. This quelches the rumors that he was killed during H4.
  4. There is no quantifiable way to measure knowledge. The closest way that humanity has developed is the "IQ". However, this does not necessarily measure knowledge as much as it measures a capacity to learn. There is no "I possess exactly 12000 TB of knowledge in my head right now". So, the only true answer to this question is that not even you know how much knowledge you possess. Actually, due to a semi-botched appendectomy (I should have done it myself) at the age of 18, I have developed IBS. So, I'm really really not regular xD As for my abs, I undergo a weekly body hardening session that involves two poles that are about 2.5 feet in length (they can be wooden, metal, or plastic, it doesn't really matter) and beat the living crap out of my abdominal muscles. That coupled with exercise = my body. lol Because the people in heaven were feeding each other and the people in hell were to selfish to think of that. Which explains why they were where they were. To avoid telling the truth. Some people cannot face certain truths, or are afraid of what the truth may lead to, so they lie to try to hide the truth.
  5. Going to warn you beforehand, not here. Did you know that the Infinity may be the largest vessel ever built by Humanity, but it is dwarfed by the size of certain covenant vessels? (i.e. High Charity)

  7. It depends on your preference for wording. It's either "undefined", "No solution", or "0". Roughly between 20 and 25. Most of them are named as well But a lot of them (nearly half) are not named. An example of a named Galaxy would be the Andromeda Galaxy. An example of an unnamed one would be M87.
  8. Did you know that Twam plays Minecraft with GSD and Scotty on a fairly regular basis?
  9. It's Ottawa, but I have a feeling you're going to come up with some movie that says it's Calgary and try to say that that's the answer >.> lmao
  10. Destroyers were far more cost effective than Battleships. WWII Destroyers are mere tugboats compared to modern Destroyers, and are far more capable of protecting Carriers than Battleships due to the invention of the guided missile, which gave it the same capabilities as a Battleship, with a bit more underwater firepower (Destroyers were originally made to blow up submarines). Battleships are big and bulky compared to Destroyers, so what they ended up doing was splitting the Battleships normal tasks with Carriers and Destroyers (carriers couldn't be scrapped because of how valuable aircraft can be in an engagement). Now, a fleet of Carriers and Destroyers has similar capabilities to fleets that used to contain battleships.
  11. While I agree with you that the graphics could be less cartoony (which is a problem for a lot of games, actually), one thing I've always liked about Halo is that their cinematic graphics looked nearly exactly like their campaign graphics (excluding Halo Wars, of course). The only real difference I've ever noticed in the graphics cutscene vs. gameplay is that in the cutscenes you can actually SEE Master Chief, and don't have a HUD lol
  12. That was the original purpose of this thread lol It's become a bit skewed since the introduction of the award, but there's still a lot of good info in here Just gotta sift through the 900 some odd replies. xD
  13. Honestly, it's not a huge deal to me. This is officially 343i's first Halo game, so SOME screw-ups are expected lol I'm just glad it's in the cosmetics rather than the gameplay.
  14. Yep. But I'm pretty sure his shields were in the process of recharging. Not 100% sure though. :3
  15. As long as you do not profit from it (i.e. sell the shirts that are made) then you will be fine. Here's a useful link for you http://www.xbox.com/en-US/Community/Developer/Rules
  16. Indeed. The Harpax was a modified version of the Corvus. And I think it's Naulocus, Naulokus or Naulochus. lol I know there's a *kuh* in there somewhere xD
  17. Nou >.> Could be better, could be worse lol Because the Romans had developed a little trick. I believe it was called the corvus, and it was basically a bridge that could be placed between ships so that the Romans could board the enemy ships and battle on there. The reason they did this is because they had little chance of victory if they had used traditional naval tactics (ramming and sinking ships), and they were better fighters in CQC than the Carthaginians.
  18. lmaoooo My display picture is actually The Director from Red vs Blue. Any similarities to Christian Bale are purely coincidental, I'm sure. xD
  19. Welcome to the friendliest forum in the Haloverse! If you have any questions about Halo, this is the place to be. If you have any questions about the site, then feel free to PM either myself or a moderator.
  20. Oh, when Pyrrhus of Epirus invaded Apulia or when he defended Tarentum? The Romans lost because Pyrrhus had superior cavalry (and elephants! ) The battle in Apulia was called the battle of Asculum and the battle for Tarentum was called the battle of Heraclea.
  21. It could also be a forerunner skull. If we made a machine like that, we would probably use human skulls instead of a skull shape of only one of our enemies. Not to mention that anatomically forerunners were very similar to humans. (not size and strength, but muscle and bone structure).
  22. General George Washington (most famous American general EVER), General Wilfred Scott, General Robert Lee, General Ulysses Grant, General Dwight Eisenhower, General Douglas MacArthur, and General George Patton. As far as Admirals goes, Admiral Chester Nimitz, Admiral Grace Hopper, Admiral Hyman Rickover, Admiral David Farraqut, and Admiral Arleigh Burke.
  23. Either Allia or Caudine Forks. In Allia the Celts pretty much just pummeled them and sacked the city. It was called the pillage of Allia or somesuch. In the Caudine Forks, the Romans marched into a trap and were forced to surrender (humiliatingly, may I add) and agree to a peace treaty. The Roman Senate disregarded this though, however the victory was in favor of the Samnites, and was called The Caudine Peace. Ohhh, I thought you meant in REAL life. Which yeah, you didn't say :3 And Roloson did wear a clover on his helmet >.> In real life >.>
  24. If the shields are down they can. Master Chief nearly got infected by the flood in The Flood, except for Cortana's quick thinking saving him.
