halo 4 had a bad single player ( unlike every other halo game) and the multiplayer, though different, still isn't that good, it's just bad and different instead of bad. the problem seems to stem from fanboys who entered the series during halo 3, which was also bad. halo CE on original xbox is still the epitome of halo and what the real fans want to play again, unfortunatly anniversary was just halo reach ( granted the single player was halo 1) I think I too am waiting to see what they do, with PSN+ I am definitely leaning toward playstation 4 throw in the fact they actually make games instead of sell the same series over and over again and it's a winner, I really hate the PS3 controller though, xbox 360 controller is by far the best pad in existance, but everything else on ps3 is better ( except online but unlike live, it gets better as it gets older so by the time ps4 comes out it will be on par with 360) PSN+ is the big thing ps3 does for me though, every month I get games? discounts on DLC, arcade and sometimes retail games? awesome.

I feel like they should call the AR an SMG because it plays like it, but SMGs were in halo 2 and 3 and were basically the same thing except you could dual wield them, can you even dual wield in halo 4? I don't think you can.

Forge is terrible in halo 4, I don't know if you noticed, I am sure most the major forge players have already went back to halo reach.

halo 4 is pretty bad, no where near worthy of the praise it is getting, but anyone giving halo a mediocre review gets criticized because it is halo after all. i'd give it a 5/10, not as bad as ODST, but still terrible compared to halo 1 or 2, can't tell if 3 or reach is better as all 3 are terrible. halo 1 2 and halo wars, still the only good halo games that exist.

the graphics aren't bad, they are just grey, the lighting is amazing but i'l trade that for the older halo look with, you know, color? if I wanted gears of war grey i'd play gears of war.

Both suck battlefield 3 was the only good shooter to come out in the last few years. Hoping the new rainbow 6 isn't trash like the new ghost recon was.

In b4 they add a forge world like map but make you PAY FOR IT! useless company I swear it takes like 8 hours of 1 persons life to make a map but they charge $15 for 4 of them.

oh joy, something that should have an unlimited file size limit is still artificially limited to make people spend 4 times as much money on a microsoft xbox hard drive. meanwhile for PS3, 1TB hard drives are still only about $50.

no it is better this way, the weapons in past halo games meant noobs ran to the most powerful weapons and camped them. and became a "spawn ok find noob weapon then play" they need to make dominion last longer and have more players though, plus these maps are terrible, give us halo 1, 2, 3, and reach maps for free so we have some room to move, even if they don't update graphics on them :| blood gulch with dominion 2/3 bases would be epic.

the assault rifle has always been the worst weapon in the game, ( except halo 2 which it wasn't in) the reason for this is because a bullet to the chest does like 1/10 the damage of a bullet to the head, you die to DMR because a few headshots kill you, when 30 AR shots to the chest won't kill you. what you could do is change your pistol to the plasma pistol then quick switch to the AR once their shields are down, as human weapons do lots of damage to non-shielded targets.

I'd be sad too if I had to go through the crap that was the single player again.

Microsoft said once " If we lose our way with halo, we have lost our way with gamers." now we all know xbox has few good exclusive games outside halo/fable/forza/gears, with halo 4 being meh, fable 2,3, ad journey being trash, forza being a racing sim ( small audience) and gears seeming to lose it's luster what will happen to xbox. the original xbox was by far the best system I have ever played, it had dozens of games you couldn't get anywhere else, or could only get on PC otherwise, titles like morrowind, halo CE, star wars battlefront and fable gave hundred of hours of enjoyment, xbox had the best online system back then, and at only $60 for 13 months and a headset it wasn't bad to pay. fast forward to today, it isn't unheard of to be bored even though they have dozens of 360 games. halo is just a shadow compared to what it once was, we had some new series join but we lost most of the good ones from last gen ( conquer, star wars battlefront, and good fable games) I leads me to wonder... why would anyone get the next xbox? to play halo lets make it even worse 5? to play gears of war again 5? to play fable lets flail our arms around and still not return to what made people like the game 4? xbox started to be mostly dead in 2009, and it's been basically as strong as a sick cat since then. are any non-fanboy tards getting the next xbox? if so why? are you undecided like me? what would make you change your mind? fanboys, why are you obsessed with games that aren't good?

actually they have a lot of those things or better options that do the same thing... or they are ust things no one wants to use a console for anyway ( like browse the internet.) i'm a gamer, I have both, and though I would like xbox to be better, PS3 is better because PSN+ and how they care about their customers when MS doesn't. also halo 3, ODST, reach and halo 4 suck.

so the game sucks, forge is useless ( which is one of the things I did a lot of in halo 3 and reach) the multiplayer isn't that fun, and beat the single player so probably won't play it again. spartan ops is fun with friends, but I don't know if it is worth keeping the game for, I admit spartan ops was the reason I decided to get the game on release (the idea of new missions to play every week was great) but now, I feel like the rest of the game is crap mainly, because the rest of the game is crap. so I am sitting here game in the case trying to decide if $40 store credit at best buy is better then nothing. or maybe 343 will see that they failed and give us some maps or something, on the other hand they would charge for the maps and then that isn't worth it AND splits the community... I am torn.

yea this game did pretty much fail. they ( still) haven't captured the glory that was halo CE or halo 2. the single player is terrible. the multiplayer isn't very fun after a few matches of dominion Forge is worse then halo 3, how the heck did you make it WORSE then halo reach? the maps are terrible not enough maps the graphic, though the lighting is good, the rest just isn't, the entire game feels like it i grey dark and gritty, halo used to be full of color and life, making the grey portions hit home, when you started up halo 1 on xbox you were were on a ship, and crash land on a halo ring and you see a beautiful world to go through, killing unique aliens each with their own personalities. when you meet the flood for the first time the world seems more dangerous its darker and grittier at the right moments. halo 4, worst halo? no, that right goes to ODST, but it is pretty bad, all the halo games on 360 have been pretty bad but halo 4, unlike the other halo games, also failed to make the single player worth playing. I won't be going solo legendary on this one, and I did that with reach. anyone who thinks halo 4 is the best halo game, or anywhere near close, needs to stop forming opinions.

infections sucks but this forge is worse. the problem is multifold, the maps are terrible and small so there is no room to really build anything

I can't even bring myself to do forge because every single map is like 1/100 the size of forge world. the few large maps in the game have things you can't remove all over the dang place AKA rip off people who bought the game by charging for something that should have been in the game. DLC forever the rip off that fanboys buy anyway.

honestly they should give us a map that is very big, with no buildings, no mountains or rocks or crap in the way, just 100% flat, then let us do what we want with it. also, a custom match browser so people can join in progess anyone who is playing a custom match.

it is by far the worst map editor to exist on any game I have ever played ever.
