  1. "Halo is a good game, I think if it retains more of it's identity, remains more unique, but also advance in gaming and shooters as a whole, than it can start to be on top again." This I just don't think Halo has a market anymore. Especially if it tries to do all this. Halo changing with the times hasn't worked at all. Halo 5 proves this. Halo really needs to go back to relative basics I think to survive.
  2. I'm going to say someting incredibly orignal the baseline Assault Rifle and Mangum. Its been his base loadout weapon in almost every single Halo game since the CE except Halo 2 in which he had the SMG which in that game was basically the closest thing to an Assault Rifle.
  3. I disagree. Unless it goes multiconsole theres no hope and Halo will die. Halo 5 had the poorest sales numbers of any game since Halo CE. There is simply no market for Halo anymore with it just being on Xbox.
  4. Very little, the story and general gameplay was beyond awful. The only good thing was that the game looked good and the enviroments were cool looking. Thats it. And by enivoments I dont mean the art design or anything like that or level layout. No, there still awful. Overall excluding Spartan Strike and stuff like that this is the worst Halo campign ever, of all time.
  5. I can't all my accounts are banned. Can you give me a new one instead.
  6. Well isn't that basically paradoxical. He gave his answer didn't he and it was a good one so I don't see how that couldn't have a chance. Unless your Bethesda you don't make millions by making bad games. Though actually I don't think Halo can ever be top of the world again. With everything else that's out there now and all the competition. Halo's going to be stuck as a B list franchise on the Xbox that's never going to be going anywhere. Personally I think the only way to save is for it to go full third party.
  7. Here's a link to an amusing video I made on my old Youtube account I just thought about. Enjoy :)

You watched a pure work of art made by a poor person with terrible editing skills on a boring night. Glad it was enjoyed.

Caboose, all the Christmas bleach is half off since Christmas is over... Guess who's drinking two bottles of bleach for the price of one!

Ohhh ohh! Let me guess. Hmmmm. You?

  8. Oh no I don't blame him its just the way its been put in the game. As I said its a nice OST but its not put in the game as well as it could be.
  9. You make me hopeful in the future of this forum, have a great christmas and hope to see you around.
  10. I can agree but only if you listen to the soundtrack standalone. As its not implmented well in the game for you to fully appreciate it until you can hear the full version standalone.
  11. Oh no I wasn't trying to factor them out I was just making a point of how without them I don't think the Halo Universe stands a chance. I've been thinking about this and I've come to my conclusion. The Star War Universe would come out on top. Why? 1 The Star Wars Universe is much bigger and has a much bigger population meaning their armies would be much bigger and it would be harder to control territory if you were the Halo Universe. Halo has billions, Star Wars has quadrillions. 2 Star Wars has expendable yet competent robots meaning if the flood are taken into account they can be dealt with. 3 Superweapons, Star Wars has two Death Star's, the Star Forge (the Star Forge can create entire fleets of ships and legions of robotic troops in miniutes) Starkiller base. The Malevolence which can disable an entire fleet. The Galaxy Gun, the Dark Reaper etc. I could go on but lets say Star Wars has a lot. 4 Force Users, against the Covenant and Forunners people with a lightsaber would have the advantage apart from the UNSC because bullets would be too small to deflect. Still there's nothing quite in the Halo Universe that can compete combatively against Force Users and some of the insane Force Powers. Like the Thought Bomb, Battle Meditation or Force Storm. 5 On ground and space I'd say its quite matched. Apart from when the UNSC is involved because I doubt they can do that much with the weapons they have. Or Jedi, since there basically leagues above any solider in the Halo Universe. This is quite brief but you get the point. Star Wars would win because the Halo Universe would be fighting a war of attrition they can't win against enemy's with much more destructive potential and insane amounts of troops and ships they cant hope to muster. This is only a rough idea as I need some detail on how this would play out but I think it makes sense. EDIT: Oh and Star Wars has one big advantage I forgot to mention. Grand Admiral Thrawn
  12. Someone give me a dare or something. I'll do anything.
  13. Yeah Elites should be in there and could be if they take the Halo Reach approach and just say that MP isn't cannon. Because if that's really one of the things keeping them back from multiplayer then that's just stupid. Just scale down the models slightly since there quite big in Halo 5 and you should be fine.
  14. Making two Pro Leagues is the most stupid thing I have seen in a while.

    1. Buns

      Buns

We should have a third pro league for people who don't identify as either gender.

    2. Fishy

      Apache Helicopter League

How about just one pro league Bnus?

  15. True Kakashi but if you take the Forunners or Flood out of this equation then really the Halo Universe does not stand a chance considering the amount of crazy Force Powers and Superweapons the Star Wars Universe has around. And since the Forerunners are around I suppose I'd still argue Star Wars takes the lead. Come on Starkiller base can destroy Solar Systems in seconds. Or Force Storm which can create Hyperspace routes and sucks things in. Halo really cant match this stuff.
  16. Can you be more specific? There's too many unaccountable variables to even come close. Such as the flood being around or the time period. Because right now there's no way I can even start coming up with an answer.
  17. Omg guys I just had strangest feeling ever. I saw the Disney made Star Wars movie Rogue One, and I liked it! Go watch it, its puts the fan service cash grab Force Awakens to shame

Rogue One is significantly better than TFA that was in my book worse than the Phantom Menace but saying its better than TFA doesn't say much so lets say this, its the best Star Wars film to date

I have a feeling that this opinion is about to change again very soon....

I would disagree but I checked back to the status I put up about Episode 7 "As a hardcore Star Wars fan who is still burnt up over the EU's destruction, I must say I very much enjoyed Star Wars Episode 7" Yeah if you know anything about me and Episode 7 now I despise this film.

  18. Yeah I do like Halo still but I dont play it. I even have an Xbox One now, sort of and I dont play it. It's lost a lot of its draw and really changed a lot in ways I dont think have been good. Its not all bad. I like some of the new gamemodes and weapons I guess and Forge is pretty good. But apart from that, eh. The campaign is the worst Halo campaign and is trash. I can't honestly say anything good about it. Tbf I could really go for a rant right now about the campaign, I really want to. But theres not much I can say that has not been said. The plot is stupid, the characters are stupid, the levels are stupid. It ruins the entire Halo Universe and is nothing but a pure cash grab. Remember Halo 5 was originally going to be a trilogy, now its a saga. Why? Because money. Its pointless and the writing is ridiculous if it was up to me Halo 5 would be remove from canon. The series deserves that much. Since Halo 5 had such great set up its a shame the final campaign product was cash gabbed fan service. (343 also need to stop over relying on the books since if you didn't read them you'll have no idea what's going on and that should not be needed. The books should be accessories to enhance your knowledge not be essential.) As for the multiplayer, its fun but its nothing special. Halo hasn't really got that draw anymore but I suppose its also because I'm older now and not much of a gamer myself anymore and might only put in two to three hours a week tops. The multiplayer is good but has issues. Like the REQ system, or the boring maps, or aim down sights. (Why is that even a thing.) But hey at least it wasn't entirely broken at launch but still I feel like the games multiplayer needed to be held back for a few months to get extra content in there like infection (Why that gamemode was not there at launch is beyond my mental capacity.) In conclusion, I like it but 343 need to take a long hard think about where this franchise is going. Otherwise Halo is doomed.
  19. I'll sign up but I cant say I'm confident we'll get the required numbers
  20. Can we just admit the Halo community is dead now?

Nah. I still love you though.

Sorry this is just a fan forum, 343's official site is Halowaypoint.com

    3. Unease Peanut

      Unease Peanut

Maybe this site is a little dead-ish, but the Halo community isn't. There are still tonnes of maps and gametypes being created and a lot of custom game lobbies with Spartan Companies and such. Less alive? Maybe. Dead? No...

  21. No but lets be fair here, nobody's playing this game in enough numbers on the pro town side, we have numbers and we know exactly who the mafians are but we can't win. Yeah we may as well give up, I'm just being honest, we all know we don't have a shot.
