  1. It's cool lol, I'm playing with you. But no fee :c unless you wanna tip me.
  2. Yes you actually have to pay $10... OF COURSE NOT, HOW WOULD YOU GIVE IT TO ME?!
  3. Hello everyone, as you know I'm Edward Kenway, the fictitious pirate who probably only exists in your imagination (and the hearts and minds of children everywhere). I'm bringing you yet another event, not as soon though on a game that we never really got far off the ground on when it came to hosting playdates. Some of you may not know, but we have a crew for GTA V on the forum, here, we hosted a few playdates then did nothing ever again... I'm serious. Well, it's been almost 1 year since the game's launch, and I figure let's host a playdate on the anniversary! Which is the 17th... A wednesday... So it's on the 6th, a Saturday. You may be asking why not the 13th, the saturday during the week of the anniversary. Anything after the ninth (Destiny FTW) is impossible, because Destiny FTW. You'll need Gold (obviously), and to be in the crew, but I'll take your word for it. We're gonna go in, do some random activities, robberies, and burn down the place. It'll be fun, I promise. The entry fee is $10, however you have no way of giving me the $10 up front, so I'll take your word for it that you will pass it to me some other way. It'll take place at 2:00PM EST, see ya then lads. Eddie out. P.S. I actually wrote the banner as 'Mayh3m' on instinct and then had to redo it. Thanks Mayh3m. Peeps coming to the event: 1. Edward Kenway (Me) 2. -Sparky- 3. Coldfreeze 4. Unease P34nut 5. Mr. Biggles 6. Skummgummigubbe 7. DarkAngel 8. D-38 Boss
  4. I'm gonna go the philosophical route, Slipspace travel.
  5. Anywhere from 2-5 hours I think. Could be longer, could be shorter, just estimating. This is still on for tomorrow everyone, just hope a sick man can entertain you.
  6. Err, when is this EST? If it's 5 hours behind I should be able to make it. Put me down as a maybe.
  7. I'd like to start this off by saying while not a lot of you could consider this "news", this was requested by a few people to be covered and I think it should be seen and spread so that we can raise awareness of this horrible disease and help those struggling with it. Phil Spencer, the head of Microsoft, has undertaken the ALS Ice Water Challenge! Now, before you ask, the ALS Ice Water Challenge is a chain-letter style challenge system where one person nominates three people and then proceeds to dunk ice cold water on his/herself. The three that person nominates have 24 hours to respond by doing the challenge or they have to donate $100 to ALS awareness, properly known as Lou Gerhig's disease. On Xbox's Phil Spencer not only undertook the challenge, but as well donated money to the organization. He nominated Valve's Gabe Newell, Sony's Shuhei Yoshida, and Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aime, he himself was nominated by the well known Notch, creator of Minecraft. Sony responded and undertook the challenge themselves, nominating GameStop's head, Activision's head, and Sony Europe's exec. So far, Valve and Nintendo haven't responded (to my knowledge). View attachment: Untitled.png Now, I recommend everyone donates or tries the challenge but I'm going to conduct something myself. I myself undertook the challenge and I'll edit the video of it below, but I'd like to nominate some members to do it themselves or donate! I'd like to nominate Jack of Harts, Yoshi1176, and Stinky! You three have 24 hours to take the challenge and/or donate, but because I know some members have like to keep private, you don't have to record yourself doing the challenge. Feel free to nominate three other members once it is completed, and we'll try to raise some awareness for ALS! If you would however like to share the video of yourself doing it feel free to post it below. Thanks for reading everyone, and thanks for spreading awareness for ALS! Donate at ALSA.org. (Note: I know this is very unusual news to some people and may not be considered it, but I feel raising awareness is important. If a moderator feels this doesn't belong, go ahead and move it to the general discussion, I don't mind!)

  9. Happy birthday dude!

  10. This was completely unexpected! Jack, tell me with a straight face NO ONE saw this coming, you're an awesome person and a great artist, congrats! BZ1, thank god you're a moderator, maybe you can tame the mighty Azaxx! Congrats, don't let power get to your head
  11. Pick one current franchise that you want to end. Pick one old franchise you'd revive.
  12. It's a bit later in the day then when I'd usually write the wrap-up, sorry, had a buddy over through the night and got very little sleep so I slept during the day. Anyways, let's get on to the wrap-up! In the aftermath of all the gamescom announcements we have some exciting news so stick around! New content, timed exclusives, and more! View attachment: WNW 81614.JPG Tomb Raider 2 is a Timed Exclusive Says Phil Spencer The most controversial announcement from Gamescom was without a doubt the announcement of Tomb Raider's exclusivity on Xbox One, with many flipping out and taking to their blogs and YouTube Comments Section areas to rage at Microsoft and Square Enix, some even going as far as sending death threats to Lara's voice actress and Microsoft as a whole. Eurogamer.com reports that these angry people can ease up, as the game is only timed and will come to PS4 and PC eventually. In an interview with Eurogamer, Phil Spencer said, "I didn't buy the IP. I didn't buy the studio. It's not mine. Where this thing will go over time, just like Dead Rising or Ryse, we'll see what happens with the game. I don't own every iteration of Tomb Raider." He shared his sympathy with people on other platforms, understanding how they would feel alienated from a long-time franchise suddenly moving. He does confirm however that he doesn't own Tomb Raider as an IP, and once the deal is over he doesn't know where it could go. Note: For the love of god don't read the comments section to this article, you'll lose a metric ton of brain cells. View attachment: rise_of_the_tomb_raider_2015_game-wide.jpg What's your take on Tomb Raider being a timed exclusive to Xbox, should it be a full on exclusive or is sharing it with the rest of the community the right thing to do? Debate below! Destiny DLC Leaked in 2013, Just Realized Now Something that might surprise you was in 2013 when Diablo 3: The Reaper of Souls was announced, the name 'The Dark Below' was brought up as a possible name for the expansion or something related to Diablo, turns out it was for Destiny, as we now know. GameInformer.com reports the story, also saying DLC was also trademarked before a World of Warcraft DLC, linking it to World of Warcraft as well. Activision handled the situation well, not getting involved, as it would've likely tipped off the fact it was Destiny. Theories included the name of a new World of Warcraft game and possibly a new Blizzard IP. The Dark Below was officially announced when the Ghost Edition, Limited Edition, and Digital Guardian editions of the game were announced, and it was confirmed at Gamescom it would launch in late 2014. View attachment: wallpaper_destiny_15_1366x768_by_sinfulndelicious-d770ms3.jpg What do you think of the fact that something so wrapped in shadow and essential to Destiny was leaked so early in it's development? Please do discuss it below! Titanfall: IMC Rising DLC Announced We started this series off with the first Titanfall DLC, then continued recently with the second, and it seems we're now ending the Titanfall DLC trilogy with the final add-on announcement! Titanfall.com officially announced the DLC to the rest of the world, it first being revealed at Gamescom this year. The DLC contains what each DLC before it has, 3 maps, Backwater, Zone 18, and Sandtrap, details on each scant. It will run you $9.99 or $24.99 for the season pass to get all three for a value. A release date has not been announced yet, though I would estimate the DLC should launch sometime in October or late September at the earliest. This DLC pack and Frontier's Edge (the last one) seem to have an increased focus on the IMC rather than the Militia, as the only DLC pack to showcase the Militia on the cover was Expedition. This could be a hint at the direction of future titles, possibly IMC winning the war? View attachment: Titanfall-DLC3-Key-Art-Hor-wLogo.jpg Do you own the Season Pass and are you picking up this DLC? Let me know below! Thank you very much for reading! Thank you again everyone for reading the wrap-up, I do hope you enjoyed it. I hope to see you all next time on the next Weekly News Wrap-Up. We'll be right back after the break, take it away Jimmy! *Conan reference here for Yoshi*

  14. The upcoming Ubisoft current generation only title, Assassin's Creed Unity, has been confirmed to have microtransactions implemented into the game. Most of the gaming community considers microtransactions (purchasable items that allow the player to pay real money to get ahead instead of earning the items) a blight to video games, but most companies seem to be hopping unto the microtransaction bandwagon. IGN.com reports the next of these is Ubisoft with their next game, Assassin's Creed Unity. Ubisoft has confirmed the game will feature microtransactions at launch allowing players to buy items like gear, weapons, and supplies that normal players would have to work for by playing the game to unlock. Senior Producer Vincent (Not me) Pontibrand spoke about the idea to TotalXbox.com at Gamescom this year, saying, "If we think it fits the gameplay, or the brand itself, the core values, we're willing to take those risks. If not, then not. We're not going to make any compromises." Ubisoft has however said that they will not go over-board with the microtransaction items available, stating that it needs to fit the core experience. More information on microtransactions in-game will be available at a later date Ubisoft said, which means we can probably expect more info next month, as the game launches this October. View attachment: Assassin_s_Creed_Unity_64633.jpg It's not like microtransactions are new to Assassin's Creed, Assassin's Creed IV had items that you could unlock by either hunting on The Jackdaw (your ship) or purchasing, each around the $1 mark, so not too expensive. What do you think of this news, has it swayed your decision to buy Unity? Discuss it below! Thank you very much for reading!

  16. I'm following the [RESERVED] trend.
  17. Bethesda's upcoming Survival-Horror The Evil Within is getting downloadable content after it's launch as a Season Pass has been announced! There are a plethora of horror games releasing within the next few years, between Silent Hills, the Resident Evil 1 remake, and Alien Isolation, now Bethesda, known for The Elder Scrolls and Fallout franchises, is throwing their hats into the ring with a psychological survival horror called The Evil Within. IGN.com picked up that Bethesda has announced a Season Pass for the game, selling at $20 USD. Three add-ons are included with unknown release windows. The first has you take control of a man called 'The Keeper' as you follow on an unknown story at the time, taking part in 'sadistic' mission based maps. The next two follow an episodic sense as a two part story concerning the main character's female partner, Juli, elsewhere in the environment of The Evil Within. The Evil Within launches this October on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, and PC available for the standard game price of $59.99. View attachment: the-evil-within-logo.jpg Are you excited for The Evil Within and it's Season Pass, or do you dislike the idea of development of DLC this early in development of the main game? Debate and discuss it below, thanks for the read!

  19. Naval combat looks fantastic and like a lot of fun, especially in the arctic, however, being on land seems boring and stale, zero changes there, it just seems like AC3's land areas and AC4's naval combat mix together. I hope the game turns out alright, as it looks like fun.
  20. This. This is why I voted no, couldn't have explained it better.
