Though I have not lost either one of my blood parents yet (and may they live healthy and happy for many more years), my Grandpa passed away a few years back and I was with my mom when we got the phone call from my aunt. We were both devastated when we got the news. While it hit me extremely hard, it slammed my mother to the breaking point. All I could do to help her was cry together and be there. It took a very long time to get her to smile again and even now, 3 years later, we still can't really talk about him with each other without one of us crying. Even now, I'm freakin crying remembering it and missing him. But anyways, what I'm trying to say is this: Don't give up on her. Don't let her go through this alone. Don't let your family step off into darkness. Your mother may be gone physically, but her memory lives on in each person she hugged, loved, laughed with, or cried with. It will take a lot of time for the pain to start to fade, and the loss will always be there, but it's even worse to go through it alone. I'm sorry for you loss and I wish there was a way to magically make everything better for you and your family. Sending my love your way for your family.

Personally, I think the moon landing was an amazing feat by us wee humans especially with the level of technology back then. As for why we haven't done it again or sent anyone else to another planet yet, I think it's a lack of money and interest right now. Give it another 50 years or so, when the human population on Earth has increased even more and our natural resources get sucked down to dangerous levels... then things will start to happen because it's either spread out into the universe or start cracking down on human population limits, resource usage, etc. I will say that watching Curiosity land was quite the thing this evening, I found myself grinning like a fool when it touched down through Mars' atmosphere. One thing I am extremely curious about.... terraforming. I think it can be done and that Mars is gonna be the best bet towards a successful attempt at it. Venus has too many gases in it's atmosphere, the main thing being sulfuric acid and that makes it nearly impossible to alter it's atmosphere without investing too much into it. They launched Curiosity in November 2011. August 5th 2012 was the landing date for it to hit Mars.

I have recently become addicted to Minecraft and figured that there have to be more people on here that play it as well. So I have created this topic to allow fellow Minecrafters to comment and help us group together if we need help. Also, I figured it would be cool to post status comments on big projects we are building in the game and for shout outs of thanks for players that have helped you! For example, one of my big projects I am working on is building a giant sandcastle out of sandstone and glass. I've hit a stuck point where I am not sure what to do next to build the towers on the 4 corners of the building. Any suggestions?

So, I'm sure a lot of you have heard about the SWAT tourney coming up. As a participant in it, I've been practicing playing SWAT and have discovered that I majorly suck at it. In light of that, I'm in need of some pointers. Anyone have some good advice for SWAT? Any advice is much appreciated!
