  1. Gotta say, I love my sword. DMR, Binary Rifle, and Sticky Detonators are all close though.

    Hologram

I think it's finally useful, I use it all the time. I wouldn't change much about it. ...but if I could change something about it, I think it would be awesome if it EMP'd vehicles. Imagine seeing a ghost run your way, hide behind a rock and throw out a hologram, and easy jack. Only while it stands still though, so people think twice about ramming a stationary target, and so that you can't just throw a hologram walking at a tank. That would be awesome, but probably op in the long run. I wish they brought some AA that worked well on vehicles back however :/
  3. Hm. I always thought the suppressor was better... I'm an avid AR user, just I thought it did better by comparison, this is kind of cool. I've been told the Storm Rifle was good, but never really gave it a shot haha
  4. There were a lot that didn't like Reach, but I wouldn't say most. Your first statement is also your opinion. There are plenty of people that have played since Halo CE and are disappointed. Yea, there are plenty of people that agree with you too, but you can't blame someone's hatred for this game simply because they liked Reach.
  5. I actually was under the assumption that stickies already got nerfed? It used to take about two stickies to blow up a warthog, now it just barely starts to smoke. If it's not stuck to someone, it's blast radius is so small it's almost insignificant. I don't think they need a nerf, just fight longer distance if you don't like getting stuck. I've never noticed this heatseeking thing you guys are talking about, so I might have wrong assumptions I guess. But considering I'm 70 and never noticed it, I don't think it's that big of a deal.
  6. DMR Boltshot or Plasma, depending on map Frags Hologram Mobility Stealth It's amazing how many people will fall for a Hologram. When you have stealth especially, because prom vision can't see you, but it can see your hologram. It's just glorious! I use mobility to run to a power weapon at the beginning of a game, like a sniper on complex, sword on adrift, or my sticky detonator on haven haha. Mobility is great for giving chase and running away as well.
  7. First line: Exactly! Seeing a guy teabagging get assassinated helps me to not throw my controller after a bad game xD Second: Well, depends on the gametype.
  8. It's not like as soon as you throw your hardlight up your shields would start to regenerate. You'd have to wait out the full hardlight almost, unless you waited a couple seconds with no shields before throwing it up. Even with armor lock, your shields didn't regenerate until afterwards, unless you waited a couple seconds with no shields before using it. And I'll have to quote one line in specific from you... "...you actvate hardlight and regen while team mates cover you." I don't know about you, but I'd just call that good teamwork. Isn't having teammates to cover you almost the whole point of team-based games? Throwing up hardlight and having teammates cover you doesn't sound like a cheap move, it sounds like a strategic maneuver, to me.
  9. But yours isn't...? Just about every post on this thread is pointless lol. It's not spam, there's a difference between spam and pointless. As for your $60... I'm sorry the game didn't click like Reach did to you. I have to admit, I was a little let down by it, but I've definitely spent worse money on a game. Like Need for Speed: Most Wanted. All I'm saying is, it could be worse.

  11. Yesterday I played a game against 4 people on Complex who did nothing but use promethean vision and the boltshot... well, and one guy used a sword. My solution: I started using the boltshot too, went 21 and 8 ;p
  12. I don't agree with this part.. make the game less enjoyable so it can draw in more crowds, and have newcomers come in to play Halo? Just because you need to make the game new-player friendly, doesn't mean you should forget about the people who have played since day one. They had plenty of time to make the game, they had plenty of time to make actual ranking systems instead of numbers that mean nothing except "I played this game a lot." They had plenty of time to balance things like the boltshot and DMR, instead of saying "eh, close enough." My only thing is, just because you cater to a majority, doesn't mean forget about the minority, or barely do anything for them. As for the boltshot, I agree, it is overpowered. I use it myself all the time, and I hate using it or having it used against me because it's too cheap lol. But no one cares that you're going to stop playing, really. I haven't picked up Halo 4 since a day or two after I hit 70 about a week ago... it's just pretty boring imo. But I didn't make a topic complaining, I just stopped playing. I do hope however that updates can eventually make the game more enjoyable.
  13. Well if they'll throw in Flood (and make the gametype completely awful and not worth being there in the first place), I think they should throw in Elites. It's all a simulation, it could be explained that they aren't actually Elites, but mere parts of the simulation themselves. My thoughts at least.
  14. This is basically why I don't think I'm going to even try throwback... lol
  15. Can't say I agree with a sidearm, I think no secondary is nice. I think it'd be kinda cool if they added a Pro playlist to it though. If they can have Oddball and KOTH in FFA together, they can work snipers and pro together too. I do miss snipers already though. If it was FFA, I wish it was just slayer though... the only two exceptions for me would be Headhunter and Juggernaut, but that's me.
  16. I would like to see the Carbine having a slightly bigger clip, there's plenty of times where I drop the shields and can't get the last shot off because I have to reload.
  17. You should get an email on the 30th so long as you played the game before the 20th.
  18. It's beyond me to say if it's possible or not, but it'd be cool if people could work their own custom images onto their weapons. How they would get the images into the game? Can't say. The only reasonable thing I can think of though is being able to put a decal of your gamer picture on the side of your weapon, I think that would be cool. Not saying realistic, but still pretty cool.
  19. I have an idea for flood... take it out. Or just give flood Alpha Zombies characteristics, and let them be customized for custom games.
  20. It never should have been as weak as it was. What's the point of letting everyone spawn with an AR in 3 and Reach if they just get wrecked by something as simple as a BR or DMR? At close range, it's still very possible to overpower an AR, and mid-long range the AR is next to worthless, I don't see why you're complaining.
  21. I just hate when someone runs BEHIND the person you're shooting, and auto aim takes the crosshair.. >.>
  22. Exactly. To me it seems like the AR has a little bit better range, tiny bit. The storm rifle seems to overheat a little quicker, and you need to be up a little closer. Those are just my observations, I could be wrong.
  23. 1) Promethean Vision on basically every map, you can always make use of it. Whether it's small corners in the big map, over a hill, through a rock, etc.. you can always get the jump on the opponent. 2) Hologram - Hologram seems to work wonders for me now. Whether it's assassinating someone trying to hit it or shoot it, bolshot-ing them in the back as the run after it, or throwing it out after rounding a corner if someone's chasing me, so I can get a jump back into the fight. Also, if you throw a sword-hologram out, people tend to run away lol. 2) Active Camo (tied) - Camo is actually useful now, but having no hearing and not scoping out when you get shot is pretty awful. Whether you use it for sniping or for getting the first couple shots on an opponent, it's always a good help. 4) Hardlight Shield - Make a getaway if getting shot at from afar, hold off enemies for a little help from teammates, pretty useful in a lot of situations. 5) Regen Field - really helpful for team games, just gotta know when to use it. 6) Thrust - I hate it, but it can be useful no doubt. I don't even bother to use the other two anymore.
  24. Definitely, I really want that stupid visor! >:l I got the Cyan one, but Verdant just looks awesome haha. Side note, congrats, we're both trusted members now xD
