  1. Hope this doesn't end like the Plasma Repeater.. Sad how much they nerfed it after the beta!
  2. Jet Pack could be there too, just not available in most default gametypes, like it is in Reach.
  3. I agree on this, but weapons like rockets should have a spree, considering the laser does. Aside from the BR/DMR, sniper, AR, sword and shotgun, the rockets are the most used weapon in the game. What i dislike the most is when one weapon get a spree, and another equal weapon don't. Like the laser does, and the Plasma Launcher, and the rockets/fuel rods, don't.
  4. Sidearm Spree - Duelist - Gunslinger Oh, and; Rocket Spree - Demolition Man - Here comes the BOOM! (Rockets and Fuel Rods) Assault Spree - Full Auto - Bullet Storm (Assault Rifles and SMGs) Melee Spree - Iron Fists - Like A Truck (Not Sword/Hammer)
  5. So, this minor thing that bugged me in Reach was the weapons sprees. They sort of "left out" som weapons, and often in pretty stupid ways. For example the beam rifle, wich was neither compatible with the laser sprees or the sniper sprees. It also annoyed the heck out of me that you didn't get sticks from the plasma launcher (which also need serious buffing..) Also, more sprees. Weird a common weapon like rockets not having a spree.. Should, of course, also involve fuel rods.
  6. Nope, the thing with gauss weapons is that they fire a small projectile very fast.
  7. So, basically, we're getting the whiniest of the CoD-fanbase. Is that a good thing?
  8. I agree with most things here, but you take it too much in a "err, everything was better before, please remake Halo2/3" kind of way. That's not going anywhere. Also "pretty much all players hate every armor ability" is bad arguing.
  9. I'm glad you agree! Really looking forward to Halo 4, but, after Halo Reach, I fear it wont give me the same good feel as Halo 2 & 3 did.. Reach was a good game, but it lacked a certain "it", compared to Halo 3. AA isn't the only thing that "ruined" it for me, but it's a good chunk of it..
  10. Why would it be overkill? That's just like saying a normal gun being overkill for using normal blackpowder charges. Gauss simply means it uses magnetic coils to propell a metal projectile. How powerfull it is depends on the mass of the projectile and the energy put into the coils.
  11. So.. you are making a thread addressing the people who disagree with you, the only for the people who already agree?
  12. Yeah, too much levels and out-of-reach places in Reach.. Couldn't bee too hard to add some shiny covenant purple metal textures, or some green military UNSC textures to those crates and bridges, getting pretty sick of playing different variations of the same map all the time.. Oh, and I'd really much like to see Guardian, or another amazing map like that. Lockout were my favorite in Halo 2, and Guardian is probably my favorite map of all time. Caged/Uncaged is decent, but a little too big + pretty devastated by jetpacks..
  13. So, I, like many others, aren't that big a fan of the armor abilities in Halo Reach. But I'm also pretty sure that no amount of whining will get them removed from Halo 4, or even if that would be for the better. What I am saying, is that I could accept armor abilities, and maybe even grow to like them, if they take more of a back seat in Halo 4, sort of like the equipment in Halo 3, only a little better integrated. Evade, and most of all, sprint, were welcome additions, and I'm pleased to hear that sprint is now a standard ability. It was one of the few things CoD had, that Halo needed. Gameplay-wise, armor lock, and especially jetpack, are pains. The invisibility one is a little annoying, but it don't bother me much. But those are not the biggest problems, as far as I'm concerned. What annoys me the most in Halo Reach multiplayer, are the maps, and how they are designed. They aren't bad, most are pretty decent, but they are all very much designed to make the armor abilities central, most noticeably the jetpack. Pretty much every small-to-mid-sized map in Halo Reach is full of levels and lines-of-sight were you can shoot, but not travel directly between. That is, unless you have one of those cursed jetpacks. (Uncaged, I'm looking at you!) I see many possibilities for integrating armor abilities in awesome custom games and special gametypes, I just can't possibly imagine it to be for the best to have all of them available in standard playlists like Team Slayer, Arena and Team Doubles. At least not in the state that they are today. So, these are my two cents on armor abilities, hope I don't appear as yet another whiner, but I really believe we can have our cake and eat it too! Please don not the armor abilities as central as they are in Reach now, especially the jetpack.
