This game would take place 30 years after the Covenant attack on Reach, which ultimately led to the planet being glassed and burned to pieces. haloman 2 Posted February 12, 2013 Report Share Posted February 12, 2013 well it wasn't QUITE a few years it was almost a year before halo 3. chief ended the war in the same year of reach. he ended it in december. but you probably are right that it would take a few years to recover and rebuild all of the destroyed planets from the covenant. because they would have to replenish part of africa the covenant destroyed to find the ark. and to replenish the navy and government from the war.
