  1. Now I know that I don't have a actual picture of my map, but please, just hear me out! There are good reasons to why I had to use a random picture from halo 3 instead! Reason 1: The map is build in the underwater part of Forge Island with a few special effects put out, so it is impossible to take a screenshot of anything other than a very small part of the map (you can see just fine in-game though) Reason 2: I no longer have a gold membership so I can't upload pictures to my file share -.- I even tried using a 48 hour trial but it still wouldn't let me upload it... Now that we have cleared that out I'll get on to my actual submission, I hope you can make a exception about not having a picture and give me a fair chance Gamertag: Acrisius91 Map: Falcone's Shipment https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo4/fileshare/details/cd17c5c7-136d-4eea-81a5-8800b4cc8a0d Gametype: Batman Begins https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo4/fileshare/details/0b9e2b2e-216e-44f0-b0bf-8179f221fbb9 Recomended Player Count: 2-12 players Ok, so the gametype is a mod that works almost exactly like infection in halo reach. There is one zombie (Batman) that will try to kill the humans, and everyone has one life! So when either Batman or all the humans are dead the round ends. The map is made to look like that scene in Batman Begins where he takes down falcone. Batman will drop down from the containers around the map and take out his targets one by one. Using stealth is essential for Batman because he has little health! He can jump very high (think of it as his grappling hook) to quickly escape danger. He also has a jetpack which allows him to glide and drop down on his targets more smoothly (the gliding looks exaclty like how Batman glides, because of the high gravity:) Now as I said, the map is build underwater, so it creates a dark and foggy feel that makes it hard to see at long range. The humans also start out scatterd, without radar and without any waypoints showing the locations of their teammates. So it's very hard to find eachother. This further adds to the athmosphere of the map and makes it more scary/creppy. I know I didn't have a picture but please check it out anyway, it's worth it! I've tested it with a few people myself and we had a blast PS: Something that might be confusing is how the Batman spawns. There is a system that will force him to depleat his energy sword, because it makes him to visible. And also because Batman doesn't kill people

  3. Triumph By DBD Squeak and Chronmeister BETA :Slayer -- KoTH -- Extraction (WIP) -- Oddball (WIP) -- 1 Flag (WIP) Download Link : HERE ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Triumph is something a little different from what most people see me forge, an asymmetrical map. It is inspired by Damnation from CE. The best player count for this map right now is 4v4 with a 3v3 minimum and probably a 5v5 maximum. The map might seem big at first but that is mostly due to the elevation on it. Testing KoTH, I learned that it was made for this map, there is so much awesome dancefloor and it can lead to some fun firefights. Although it may seem symmetrical at the start, you soon realize it has an asymmetric twist. The map consists of a lower location which is where a rocker launcher can be found and there's also the upper side of the map which is where you can get a sniper rifle. The center of the map is where a memorial of a rare tree can be found. It has been moved to a safe location to prevent it from getting cut down. Images:

  7. Hi all I'm new to this Forum so forgive me if i'm doing anything wrong I might be new to this forum but not to forge i've played halo since CE and I forged since Reach So I made this map called: Slenderwoods (you can see it on my file share) with gametype slenderv1 It's an awesome map I tried to make it as close as slenderman the game as possible so here is how it works The Slender (or Flood) Their is only one flood from beginning till the end you can't kill it, it can only kill itselfs ending te game end let the survivers win this however shouldn't happen if you play like a normal human being The Surviver The surviver has to hide and run away from slender, the last one standing or survivers score points The map it self is made on the smallest island at forge island there are some buildings but mostly forest which makes it hard to see the 'slender' Anyway Please try it out it's really fun Atleast 5 players is recommended and it can go up to 15 gamertag:Skaffasoldier10 Map: slenderwoods gametype : slenderv1

  9. Silex is a symmetric map built for 4v4. In the few tests I ran on this map, it played pretty well. But it's still a work in progress so a lot of things are subject to change. There are two bases for each team in the map, a center structure, and a small base for sword spawn. The Rocket Launcher spawns in the center and is quite a task to acquire at the start of the match. This is because players will be flowing to the center at the beginning to create a firefight for the rockets. 10. Hello gentlemen. I'm happy to present my first competitive map on Ravine. I call it Praelium. This map is asymmetric and can play 2v2 or lower. Being room-based, Praelium has 4 main rooms. These would be Red, Blue, Gold, and Green. Encounters happen everywhere in the map but most of the interesting and fun firefights happen between top Red and top Blue. The middle bridge is the most powerful position in the map. But it is also the most open. So be wary when walking across the bridge. Weapons - Railgun (x1) - Sniper Rifle (x1) - Light Rifle (x1) - Pulse Grenade (x2) - Frag Grenade (x2) - Assault Rifle (x1) - DMR (x1) - Thruster Pack *Only the Railgun spawns at the start of a match. The rest of the weapons spawn later on. 11. Hey guys. I'm proud to present to you a competitive map that I made. This map is named Xenos. This map is designed primarily for 2v2 and 1v1 and has a forerunner theme that I think I pulled off pretty well. Xenos is compatible with multiple gametypes. These being Slayer, Extraction, KoTH, and Oddball. Overall, I'm very proud with this map. It has a simple layout and look and it plays very well for 1v1 and 2v2 games. Weapons - Railgun (x1) - Sniper Rifle (x1) - Assault Rifle (x1) - Light Rifle (x1) - DMR (x1) - Pulse Grenade (x2) *Only the Railgun and Pulse Grenades spawn at the start of a match. The rest of the weapons spawn later on. 16. Requiem ( formally the octogon) The Octogon v4 10/29/2013 after a complete redesign and countless hours of building and tweaking iv finally completed my latest version Overveiw: up-scaled middle of map. Ramps provide cover flow is much better and cover is multi-functional (no lazy cover) front of bases is now connected to bottom mid instaid of being just a wall outer perimeter has been fully redesigned. view down base ramp green gold and top mid are main power positions. grav-lift can counter lift under green and gold bottom mid added ricochet!!! set one mancannon on the right of red and blue base respectively to reco_delete to make defending a bit easier and have the goal to right of sniper nest stairs so if they make it to the other cannon theres a chance defenders can stop them and so its not too easy to make thrown goals. Map:http://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo4/fileshare/details/5798cda7-1e5b-4cfc-9274-4d63c6687e5a blue base goal red base goal (to avoid confusion) 1st 2nd and 3rd ball spawns 4th and 5th at green and yellow bases Updated 9/4/13 minor touch ups fixed issues zandril and choot 'em were kind enough to address Thank you again both of you I've taken your suggestions zandril and spent the last 2 nights tweaking and improving on my design. I'm very lucky to have both of your help. I've completely redesigned bottom mid as it was far to cramped and opened it alot I gave the ramps 3 degrees less of a slope which defiantly makes a difference and alien for better movement also I changed up the lift pads because of the way landing pads are not smooth when walked over and also added more jumps to improve flow. Then completely redid the spawn zones to make every spawn point have an equal chance of being used as long as no ones in the zones. As well as many more minor adjustments and weapon placement. The map now flows great in my opinion and I can't wait to hear feedback and hope to play test soon. Today it's nothing more than a rubble after being abandomed due to the sea level rising too high. This medium sized hotel is a holdout map. It consists of various different holdout locations as well as hide and seek spots. The map itself uses colorblind alone which is something not many people do and this map adapts this effect very well by adding good contrast to the map. There is also a tank in which you can operate the turret, but not the tank. Picking out a holdout location is much better than staying out in the open. There are also weapons scattered on the map which will aid you in holding out. Gameplay and Walkthrough: Images:
  18. First, a link to the map's location of residence on my File Share. Ever heard of the map "Rising of Slenderman" by AbandonedCashew? It's a wonderful map, and was recently featured by the epidemic (8/18). It was made for the Slender gametype, but I can't stand that game. So, I've taken the spawn points and re-arranged them to support competitive gametypes. I've also added flag plates for Capture the Flag, as well as some ordinance drops. I would like to have added some light vehicles (thought it would be fun to drive a mongoose or warthog around) but because the map was modded, I couldn't recover any budget, so we'll have to do without them. A section of the forest, where a blue spartan dropped the red flag. I may optimize it for different gametypes in the near future, but as of now it works with Slayer, CTF, Oddball, Free for All, and Flood. Of course you can play various custom game types as well, such as the Gun Game or Blargnstuff. Whichever gametype you choose to play, I highly recommend turning off motion sensors in the game options before starting. Optimal player count is 4-10 players. Because the map is a bit too large to fully support 1v1 gameplay, I've created a different version of the map for 1v1. The newer version is smaller- I closed off some of the map and deleted the extra objects on the other side. Of course, I've re-arranged the spawn points, ordinance, and objectives to better fit the new map. This 1v1 variant is available for download here. How does it Play? Well you may be wondering "how do I play a competitive map when I can't see two feet in front of my face? However, you're not as blind as you think you are. When playing Capture the Flag, you will always know where your base and the enemy base are, as the flag waypoints will always point them out. After spawning in the same area several times, you'll quickly learn your way around it, as the map is not large at all. Despite what you may think, you'll always know, quite precisely, where you are on the map. The fog adds an element of suspense that everyone in the lobby loved. You need to keep on your guard at all times, as the enemy can come out of the fog at any moment and engage you in a close-quarter fight. When you fire your weapon, your projectiles can be seen from further into the fog than your spartan itself. Also, when you are hit, your shields start glowing and and are also visible from further away. This means that as soon as you engage a target, the stealth of both you and your enemy are sacrificed and the other players can see you and close in around you. Players will easily know where the action is going on because as they get near the area they will hear the sounds of the battle and see the flashing shields and the flying projectiles. Open engagements often attract other players throughout the map, and frequently lead to larger scale battles like these. Bottom line, the gameplay did not go slowly or drag as some of you may have thought it might. In fact, one team was able to acquire 5 flag captures in 12 minutes in a testing match, showing that the game does progress at a steady pace. The gameplay is fun and balanced, and there are really no major issues with it whatsoever. I'm actually quite proud to bring this to you guys, and I hope you will give it a shot. Guns up, eyes in all directions. These blue spartans must stay alert while they guard their stolen flag, as the enemy can emerge from the mist at any time. One last thing. Before you start the game, I highly recommend that you make these changes to the game through the options. -Disable motion sensor- highly recommended -If you're playing Capture the Flag, set the reset timer to 25 or 15 instead of 35 I hope you enjoy the map- you can find it on my File Share here, and the 1v1 variant is up for download here. Credit goes to "AbandonedCashew" for the original.

  20. Jousting by Rabid MidgetMan Map link Gametype link player count: 4, 8, 12, 16 Introduction "What's that you say Rabid? A jousting map without any swords?! Have you gone absolutely mad?!" No good sir, you see they don't use swords in real life jousting either, do they? They use a thing called a lance (aka big stick), hence the name 'Sir Lancelot'. I happen to know Sir Lancelot and he approves of my jousting map. Why listen to him? Because he's good at jousting. How do I know? because if he wasn't he wouldn't 'Lance a lot'. Why? because being bad at jousting hurts. A LOT. Overview In this jousting map, you will find a much more realistic experience, wielding a shotgun rather than a sword gives a more natural range for the 'lance' . There are two teams, many mongooses and a long, straight track. The track is split by a divide (fence) down the middle, red team drives north and on the right whilst the blue team drives south on the left . As the 'horsemen' pass each other, the rider must take a shot at the opposing mongoose across the barrier. A teleporter at the end of the track leads back to the start, ensuring a smooth transition from one 'pass' to the next. A map wide teleporter stops players leaving the spawn area on foot or dismounting while in play. Gameplay The gametype is unlimited lives slayer with increased damage and other small differences. This is a very fun map to play with 3 of your friends (or rivals), but it also works well with 8,12, or 16 players. Plug in your mic and discuss attack plans with your team, just don't forget to cheer when you successfully strike down a challenger Rider: The pump action of your shotgun makes it critical that you time your shot correctly as a miss will leave you vulnerable to attack. It creates a similar feel to grifball, where you must make a compromise between hitting your opponent as soon as they enter your lethal range, but leaving it late enough that you don't waste your shot with a glancing blow. As such, this game takes a lot of precision, skill and practice to master. Driver: The map flows very well if you simply drive forward and stick close to the divide, shooting enemies as they pass. This playstyle is fairly easy, the only challenge being getting as close to the barrier without touching it (grazing the wall causes you to bounce away from it). But you are free to be creative, try different maneuvers like: swooping towards the barrier as an opponent passes, stopping, reversing, changing speeds, accelerating backwards, reversing forwards... Maybe even some dressage?! As the horse you are also responsible for staying as close to or far from friendly horsemen as you see fit. Summary 1) Being bad at jousting hurts-elot 2) Being good at jousting can get you a knighthood 3) Mechanical horses are much softer on the crotch 4) Please download the map + gametype and enjoy playing it!
  21. Kamikaze Banshees By Rabid MidgetMan Map link Gametype link Player count: 8-14, the more the better. add a second alpha zombie for large lobbies. Ever noticed how a banshee explosion is much larger than a banshee-bomb explosion? These zombies noticed. Many explosions are guaranteed In this chaotic yet skillful game. Please give feedback after playing! Overview Zombies fly into the canyon and crash (explode) into survivors in order to infect them. The zombies are unable to inflict damage with the banshee guns. If the humans would prefer to keep their limbs mutually connected to their torso, they might want to consider blowing the banshees up in mid-air during their dive. A large variety of powerful weapons enter the map through initial ordnance, random ordnance, personal ordnance and not forgetting the 2 random weapons you spawn with. I built the map between the 2 massive asteroids of impact. the smaller (yet still BIG) asteroids between the map provide excellent cover for the humans and banshees alike. The humans spawn in a circle in the centre of the map with random weapons, and are encouraged to fan out by initial ordnance drops all around the map. Gameplay There is lots of cover in the map, but no place is safe. overhangs can be useful as they reduce the directions the banshees can attack from, but it also reduces the ease of shooting back. The buildings have no roofs, making their protective potential very minimal. It took a lot of testing, but I think I've perfected the damage and resistance levels for the humans and zombies. The flood will never die before their banshees are destroyed so you don't get falling vehicles. None of the weapons used in the map (mostly sniper or explosive) are overpowered, and most destroy the banshees in 1 - 3 hits. Camping is difficult as ammo runs low on the power weapons, prompting players to search for random ordnance. The most common weapon is the railgun (all initial ordnance are railguns and the 'left' personal ordnance option is always a railgun). It is a fair weapon as it takes some skill and kills in about 1 and 1/4 shots. Pictures Imagine 8 of these flying towards you. Yeah, that really happens. A spartan hiding from a couple of banshees in the background. BOOOM. The two zombies spawns with a purple teleporter between them. there a 4 quickly spawning banshees and 8 vehicle pads at each, more than enough. Crash Cam About to die. Dying. ...Dying Dead. Technical bit (how it works) If you're not a forger, ignore this bit. Essentially, the banshees cannot deal damage in the air due to a map-wide trait zone. when they 'crash', what is really happening is they are hitting into a hard killzone at a certain height just above the humans' heads. Due to the careful positioning of the killzone and the speed of the banshees approaching it, the illusion created is that they explode once they crash into the ground, but really it is a mid-air explosion. there is a second trait zone within the killzone, giving them 500% damage and so making the explosion LETHAL. If you wish to reproduce this setup please give credit if it is due.

  24. This is just a teaser for my upcoming "Reclaimer Map Pack" featuring the maps Vitality, Fracture, and Diocese. All three maps are heavily Forerunner themed, and inspired by Halo CE campaign and multiplayer settings. Vitality Vitality is a remake of my Halo 3 Bungie Favorites map, Frailty. Located on the largest of Forge Island's anvils, Vitality has a scope and scale that handily dwarfs it's predecessor. Fracture Fracture has been in limbo for a few months as I worked on Vitality and Diocese. It was, for lack of a better term "finished", but I felt more testing was still needed. I am thrilled at how the Forerunner aesthetics came together, it really gives me that warm sense of nostalgia from CE. This was designed mainly as a 1-Flag and Team Slayer map, but also plays KOTH as well. Diocese Diocese was inspired from a single hallway, from a brief section of CE's campaign (also reappearing at the end of Halo 3). I, for some odd reason, felt compelled to integrate that scene into a map, and I'm pretty confident I succeeded. Diocese is influenced by campaign, and maps like Hang 'em High, and Damnation. While Diocese doesn't have any specific layouts or structures lifted from those maps, it does have multiple layers and lots of vertical elements that mirror it's source material. So that's the preview in a nutshell. Some fo the recent screenshots for Diocese didn't show up, and I didn't have time to take more to show off Red and Green areas. The maps are up on my fileshare right now, so feel free to give them a look over (better still, run some customs!) and let me know what you think. I'll be updating the maps as feedback comes in, and I'll make an official release when everything is set in stone. Thanks everyone!
