  1. When has a little thing like Canon ever effected the games in the past? They'll just rewrite The Fall of Reach again.
  2. 1. No. Plants are defined by their photosynthesis, they are defined by the way their cells are shaped. 2. That's correct, according to the comics, which are not real btw. 3. No, Superman was born the way he is. He didn't do any gene splicing or anything scientific. Not to mention that he's not human. Or real.
  3. Right now? No. However with genetic engineering or advanced machinery, sure. Our skin already has what can be VERY loosely called photosynthesis, where it can convert a small amount of the sun's energy to convert the 7-dehydrocholesterol in the skin into Vitamin D3. That's not quite the same as photosynthesis, but conceptually it is. So, it should be a simple matter of some genetic tweaking or discovering the right kind of light rays we need to absorb to replace our food needs. Also, I wouldn't call it "achieving" photosynthesis. Requiring photosynthesis isn't exactly a strength. True, our average lifespan may increase (I say may because this is all hypothetical), however we would require quite a bit of sunlight. The larger and more complex a creature is, the more energy it requires to function. Without machines that can adequately output the same type and amount of energy that we get from the sun, we wouldn't be able to live indoors or in areas of the planet with extended periods of darkness. Yes, we would require less food, but we would still require food. We wouldn't have to eat nearly as much, but we would have to get nutrients that the sun doesn't supply from our food. Just like plants need nutrients from the soil. Not to mention that fearing the dark would no longer be an irrational fear... A far more efficient way to go about things would be to genetically enhance humanity so that we do not require as much energy or nutrients (or at least make it to where we can use them more efficiently) and create artificial food. Food that has the same nutritional content that we require, but in pill form (or in injections). This would increase our lifespans to nearly the same length as photosynthesis and make our food able to be manufactured. We could then fit more food in storage. That way, instead of a month's supply, you can hold a year's supply.
  4. Oh, you meant what color was the mirror... I thought you meant the actual glass used in it's construction. lol Because the glass itself can be dyed any color. You can have green tinted, red tinted, yellow tinted, blue tinted, and pretty much any other color you can think of tinted.
  5. Immediate answer to your question: It doesn't have to be. It can be any color. Also, you wouldn't have been able to go any higher than the manager you spoke to. That would be the "Senior Adviser" level, which is the highest level lol But yeah, you need 1 piece of identifying information. If you don't have a credit card set up or the ability for device code verification, then there's nothing anyone can do. (I was once able to guide a guy through setting up his credit card because he remembered his password though).
  6. Microsoft makes money off of the advertisements, and a big contributor to that just happens to be the United States military.
  7. Depends on which pants he's wearing.
  8. Directly? No. Using an image hosting site, yes. Imgur, imageshack, and a couple others out there are great for it. You can either put the link in the PM to show off the picture or use the tags.
  9. It has come to the attention of the Moderating Team that there has been an increase in Backseat Moderating, particularly in the shoutbox. What is backseat moderating? Backseat Moderating is using authority you do not have to convince members to obey the rules you think they are breaking, or setting expectations for how Moderators will handle a situation. Why is Backseat Moderating bad? Members who tend to Backseat Moderate also have a tendency to think they are above their station. This causes a sense of arrogance and other members to dislike the members who Backseat Moderate. It also causes members to have a tendency to believe they are above the rules. If you are confused about what is acceptable behavior, here is an example. Member A is swearing at people in the shoutbox. He is being rude, abrasive, and flaming members left and right. You take a screenshot of the behavior (if possible) and file a detailed report on the activity. You then proceed to ignore Member A until he is taken care of. You do NOT: 1. Tell Member A to stop or else you'll report him. 2. Tell Member A that he is going to be banned if he doesn't stop. 3. Ask if there is a moderator in the shoutbox. 4. Tell other members to ignore Member A. 5. Engage Member A in a flame war trying to defend the honor of your fellow members. You are NOT a moderator and you WILL NOT backseat moderate under any circumstances. You do not have ANY authority when it comes to the disciplinary action of members in this forum, and you WILL NOT falsify having this authority. You WILL NOT set the expectations of others for how a moderator will handle a situation. Staff Response Any further Backseat Moderating will result in disciplinary action.
  10. http://www.343industries.org/rules Rule 1: I Buying / Selling / Trading is strictly prohibited. This includes the trading of services. Thread locked.
  11. 1. Completely incorrect. Just ask Pirate Bay about Minecraft (PC version). Or ask Torrentz about Battlefield 4. Both of which are multiplayer heavy (BF4 obviously more so than Minecraft) and are in the top 10 most pirated games. 2. You're not wrong here, but MS doesn't care about additional PC sales. Halo has been about selling consoles since H:CE and continues to be about selling consoles to this day. 3. Again, this is a problem for the minority of individuals, and not a problem for MS. If you want the games bad enough, you'll buy the platform they are supported on. Halo is Microsoft's game. What they do with it is their decision, and since the release of Halo 3 this topic has been done to death. There are easily over 10,000 posts on different Halo forums with people begging for Halo to come back to PC. It hasn't happened, and probably won't. If Microsoft changes it's mind that will be a welcome change, but they are not likely to.
  12. Meh, it's completely a matter of different tastes. To me, "Halo Waypoint" sounds really tacky. To you, I guess, "The Halo Channel" sounds really tacky.
  13. Loadouts came to be because of all of the complaints about AR/DMR/BR starts in previous Halo releases. If loadouts are in this game, and you have previously complained about the starting weapons in previous titles, you literally have no one to blame but yourselves if you don't like it.
  14. Circle of White or Colored Light Around a Luminous Body Caused by Refraction Through Ice Crystals in the Atmosphere: The Extended Arm Succumbs to Gravity (Halo: The Fall of Reach)
  15. How can "Waypoint" be considered better than The Halo Channel? lulz THC.
  16. As a preemptive measure... Staff Response Please remain civil when discussing anything on this forum. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action up to and including a ban from the forum.
  17. Lol not this time. However, if an award does come out for this thread I'll give it to you for the stump. Oh this one takes a bit of memory. Alright, so the watch? is part of the link. The watch is the part that brings you to the player, the question mark is either a placeholder or a conditional operator, and the rest of the link from that point determines what is streamed through the player. It's usually v= if I remember right, meaning Video Equals in a non-computer language. The way I use is to lay comfortably on my back in a room-temperature room (or colder with a blanket covering me), lay my hands at my sides so that they are not touching me, let my mind drift off and ignore the itching and small pains that happen, and don't move. After 7-10 minutes of this I usually feel a weight on my chest signifying sleep paralysis has taken over, and then drift off into lucid dreams after about 13-15 minutes.
  18. You accidentally double posted. This topic is newer, but has one more link than the other topic. So this topic gets kept.
  19. Staff Response This post is completely unrelated to the OP and is for the sole purpose of teaching people what "The Game" is.
  20. No. Jared Leto, who I consider to be an actor who happens to sing on the side. lol He's not married. No idea. I live on the opposite side of the United States. We've got 100.3 The X here.
  21. ^ This. If it is like the title suggests it is, then you can't post the completed version or even a link to the completed version here.
  22. Generally hands-on pods are booths that allow people to play the game.
  23. I enjoy the game, but the story is a bit... sketchy. <Wrongfully in prison for murder <Kill people to prove innocence <??? <Profit
  24. This is completely correct, as long as we are talking H3. Recon first started being given out to those who got all of the vidmaster achievements. They also gave it out to a few special people (the creators of RvB, creator of Arby & The Chief, and a couple of guys at Machinima). Then when Bungie handed over the reigns to 343i, it was decided that everyone who had played Halo 3 in the five years it had been out got it. As of right now, there is no way to get Recon Armor on Halo 3 any longer. That being said, this may change with the MCC, but there hasn't been any word on that yet.
