  1. Yea, the Promethean weapon sounds amazing. The energy sword is one of the only weapons in Halo that hasn't really had a parallel/counterpart. The BR has had the DMR/Carbine (Carbine in every incarnation), the Sniper has had the Beam Rifle, Assault Rifle and various covenant weapons and the Magnum and Plasma pistol. But never te Energy sword which happens to be one of the most iconic weapons in Halo history.
  2. . Get rid of the triple gun Sandbox that currently houses the BR, DMR and Carbine. The DMR has no place in games that are chronologically past Reach, which Halo 1, 2, 3 and 4 are (As reach was a prologue). 2. Keep the BR as a 4 shot like Halo 2 and 3 and the recent Weapon tuning update. 3. Scrap this leveling system they have now and revert back to the Ranking system in Halo 3; You gain "skill" in Ranked Game modes and do not in casual game modes. 4. Promethean version of the Energy Sword and Rocket Launcher. 5. Symmetrical map design like Halo 3. While Halo 4 had amazing graphics on the maps, they played out terribly and lacked the fludity of Halo 3's maps like The Pit, Narrows, Guardian etc. 6. Make at least 5-6 map remakes from Halo 3 and Halo 2. Preferably all the maps MLG picked up like the Pit, Contruct, Narrows and Guardian. Base the map design on the symmetry of these maps and only delve from it when a game mode entails it; like the bigger maps needed for the bigger team games. 7. In order to get back on to MLG, REMOVE ORDNANCE AND THE CONTRACT WITH VIRGIN GAMING. Halo isn't the same without MLG and it's saddening. Were it not for Halo, MLG would be absolutely nothing. It sickens me to see COD on the circuit and not Halo. 8. With the removal of Ordnance, lessen the amount of power weapons. Only power weapons needed: Sniper Rifle, Rockets, Shotgun (If you count that) and THE SAW (I liked it from Halo 4). 9. On the note of power weapons, have them be at pre-determined locations with timed spawns like in Halo 3. This made for less randomness and rewarded people who were good at the game and knew it well. 10. Make armor abilities less centralizing and instead of being from a load out, make them pick ups and limited on the maps. Camo was perfect in Halo 3 as a power-up because it didn't completely fade when firing like the AA, and it had a longer duration of use, whereas the drawback was it needed to spawn and it was a pick up power-up. 11. On the note of Loadouts... REMOVE THEM COMPLETELY. It works for COD, it does not for Halo. It cheapens the experience and it makes it look like Halo, which promptly revolutionized the FPS genre when it came out, is taking ideas from the most bland, overhyped and overexaggerated shooter in history! All in all, a mixture of Halo 4's graphics and Armor customization, Halo Reach's Forge abilities (Because of Forge World) and Halo 3's overall gameplay and competitive viability.

  4. I would love for basically everything you said to happen. Cortana becoming "Human" is a theory I had when the game launched because of the logic the composer imposes: It converts organics into digital beings (albeit abominations), so why wouldn't the opposite work and turn the already digital life-forms into living, breathing life forms? IMO it would basically be perfect as a cliffhanger for Halo 6 and by the end of the "saga" we see a romance being depicted with Cortana and Chief.
  5. Its all explained in the novels and alluded to scarcely in other games. The Didact was a war Commander (Which The word Didact roughly translates to) who was leader of the Forerunners during the Forerunner Human War. After winning the war (Albeit not by much) he unleashed the composer, which vanquished most of the resistance, and turned the Ancient Humans into Prometheans. In Halo 4 he is awakened by Chief (Inexplicably) and wants to finish the job, and stop the "Reclamation process". Read the books if you want to know more. Those are baseless arguments to make throughout the entire OP when you aren't familiar with the lore and that the MP is in its early stages with multiple playlist update/balance changes to come.
  6. Halo 3. Halo 4 is amazing for me right now, and I'm really good at it but the pure nostalgia+4 shot BR's in Halo 3 take the cake here.
  7. His face has already been described. He's pale with dim blue eyes. It was just a shadowy effect since they were still removing the helmet. To this backlash about "343 destroying Halo": That's a joke. First off the mantle they were given that is Halo is a monsterous task that even the best game developers would quelm in disarray due to the dedicated fan base and possibility of angering them with their work. 343 were given this task, and they executed it exquisitely. You can have qualms about the game based on your own personal opinions and beliefs, but the consensus that will be deemed normal is that the game is amazing. This is the first game that MC actually feels fleshed out, and this is all due to Cortana's rampancy, and her being the closest thing to a companion/lover/aquaintance (Yes they are all interchangeable in this sentence) that he has had in his life. Making quick assumptions based on first impressions is also wrong and why backlash to a game is usually pre-emptive and then quelled later on with clarification. The Didact never died. He would of not narrated the epilogue if he was dead. There is a lot of room for interpretation there and with the obvious incoming sequels, opens up the possibilities without leaving any head canoning (What a first game in a trilogy should do). Seeing Chief's face is something fans of the series have always wanted to see. So no it doesn't kill the fan base, hell it would probably do the opposite and expand on it, due to popularity. Another thing that is always perpetuated is that the MP is becoming "COD like". I can disgress. Popular gaming trends are a mantle (See what I did there?) to be passed down. They are usually done to improve games and appeal to a broader audience (By introducing similar things from another game). Halo 4 is not a copy of COD MP. Never has and never will (Not to mention Halo is THE GAME which set the standard for MP in the first place). Some aspects of the Multiplayer may be similar to COD, but are exclusive to Halo in their own rights and allow more prospects to the gamer for their experience. I'm completely addicted to MP right now. If it weren't for my brother playing on my account I probably would have a 2.00 KDR (1.60 right now from me Try harding) and its the MP that makes me keep coming back. Halo for me will always have more replay value than any other game on the market because of the constant change in MP and the now emotional setting for the SP (With Chief's Humanity now explored and continuing to do so). Halo 4 has re-solidified my stance on Halo being my favourite game series of all time. Best gaming experience I've had since Halo 3 coincidentally.
  8. I think the most plausible has to be the Librarian-Reverse Engineer digitally scenario. One of the most prominent themes we were seeing in the game was Cortana asking, can we find out who's the human and who's the machine, which can lead to a whole game of Chief finding out his humanity. Not to mention, the Forerunners were probably on the brink of Tier 0 technology before their "Eradication" (Minus Didact's) so reverse engineering doesn't sound farfetched at all. If anything, Chief's partner in the next game will be Arbiter, to fill the void for the time being.
