  1. DICE has publicly announced that they are delaying a long needed patch on the Xbox One, for their hit game Battlefield 4. Battlefield 4's initial launch wasn't the most seamless, and with a history of bad releases behind them, EA needed to step up their game and fix the broken launch as soon as possible, employing DICE to do the work. Today DICE has announced on Battlefield.com that an update previously coming to Xbox One on March 25th would be pushed back to an unconfirmed later date. Whether this is a few days, a week, or a month, we're not certain. View attachment: battlefield-4.jpg Since the update was released on other platforms, it was apparently supposed to fix stability and crashing, two major issues harped upon by critics and players, and adjust weapons and unlocks in-game. Considering no more information is available on what specifically the Xbox One update had in store, or when it will be released, we are still stuck in the dark as to whether the update will even see the light for some time. View attachment: BF4.jpg This is bad news for public reception if the past with EA has shown anything, so with this what do you think of the push? Was it a good idea to get it in full shape, or do you think that the game is in dire need of a fix now, and that pushing it back was a poor move? Comment below and let me know! View full article

  3. I know, you're on the wrong site, the official DeviantART account is below, the dude has some other awesome artworks too. http://343i.org/1p4
  4. No, there is Halo Wars and Spartan Assault there, I'll put them in the spoilers below:
  5. I love Civ 5 and I think this is the perfect type of event... But my PC sucks, so have fun everyone!
  6. Nope, you'll be grouped into the next lobby with two others who sign up after you! For Example: First 3 -finish- Next 3 -finish- Until we extinguish all of our teams.
  7. With Halo 5 news quite slim in the coming months of the Electronic Expo, or E3, we might now have a huge leak on our hands, as Walmart has listed Halo on Xbox One to launch on October 1st, 2014. All we currently know for sure of Halo on Xbox One is that it will be a continuation of Chief's journey, run at 60fps and 1080p resolution, and Halo Escalation #7 will somehow tie into Chief's journey in it. Now, according to Walmart.com themselves, Halo on Xbox One could be launching this fall on October 1st, 2014. Whether this is a pre-set date or an estimated date, we have yet to learn, but there are some peculiar things about it. October 1st is a Wednesday for starters, most games release on Tuesday or Friday, Wednesday would be an odd date to launch it off at. Next, it doesn't follow the November time-frame 343i uses, rather it looks to be lining up to compete in some way with Destiny, or even Arkham Knight, which releases that month. Another red flag is a pecular description, stating, "Halo 5, a Microsoft console exclusive, is a pre-release general shooter game to be released in December of 2014." so then what date is 343i aiming for? Could these be two different dates for different countries? As for right now, we don't know for certain, but it is a good tip-off. View attachment: halo-5.jpg Surprising info that could definitely be aimed to throw die-hard fans off guard and confuse them, so would you want a Halo 5 to release in October, following the launches of other big titles which could hinder it's sales?

  9. The next title, set in 18th century Paris, Assassin's Creed: Unity, has been leaked to the public. In a large time jump for the series, Assassin's Creed V appears to have been leaked on Kotaku.com. The images show off 18th Century Paris and a wide array of Victorian terrain. The title has been code-named Assassin's Creed: Unity according to one of the leaked title images. Also according to the Kotaku writer, this is the Next Generation game, and there is another, codenamed Comet, coming to the Xbox 360 and PS3. Not forcing the Ubisoft team to work on both Next Gen and Current Gen with the same game, Unity will be designed to look and feel a lot smoother. View attachment: AC Unity.png All screenshots are available in the link above, so with that, do you think that the setting will make the game more interesting, or without a ship to sail do you believe the game might fall flat?

  11. Never... A single... Week... Amazing wrapup as always D_D.
  12. It seems Rocksteady's newly announced Batman: Arkham sequel, Arkham Knight has had a small photo leak, showing off the Riddler, Commissioner Gordon, and Batgirl in her Oracle form. AllGamesBeta.com, known for leaking previous Infamous: Second Son screenshots, has been updated with a special gallery containing photos from Rocksteady's final chapter in the Batman: Arkham Trilogy, excluding the prequel Origins, Batman: Arkham Knight. Particular photos showcase the game with beautiful graphics showing off the power of Next Gen. Lighting effects have been immensely upgraded in-game and character models are done much more realistically, such as the screenshot of the updated Riddler below. View attachment: batman-arkham-knight-riddler.png Batman's new suit is fully showcased in it's shining silver and black gloss glory. Bruce himself looks much different from his Origins counterpart now that we get a full view of his body in the batsuit. The batmobile also has quite the paint job now, with a sleek midnight paint scheme and cyan lights, as it smashes through what looks like a car blockade. Commissioner Gordon looks quite old in a few shots, somewhat into the later half of his life, as we see one of the most prominent Batman villains, Harvey Dent, aka Two-Face. Other screenshots are in the link above for those interested. With these new shots, what do you think of the graphical upgrades over Arkham Origins?
  13. Imagine you draw a sweet picture, you pour your time and soul into this amazing piece and love it, you publish it, and then along comes someone who likes it, who reposts the picture into HIS gallery and gets likes and favs. Yeah, that's how it feels.
  14. So I have two requests for you guys today, quite a whopper I am! So the first is to take my current profile picture (below) and add "343i CF" in light blue on the left of it going in a downward shape like: 3 4 3 I C F Next, is to take make me a sig literally looking exactly like Cooliest's (also below) except with my name and such, you have free reign here pretty much lol. Prof Pic: Sig to work off of: http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2013/273/b/5/cooliest_forum_sig_by_bronyswag-d6or5e0.png
  15. Here ladies and gentlemen, we have the Master Race Multiplatformer in it's natural habitat. Good job Stig! I must say, I do see some points of bias in the review, but I do believe a lot of points were spot on too, the design looks nice on nearly everything, my only problem with Sony is they can't match the designs of the DualShock and the actual console, both are designed well, but they don't match, the Xbox One however at least keeps the style. However, I own a PS4 and it is a good console all-in-all.
  16. Well, we'll be having set teams at different times, the first lobby which is: Halo5 Follower D-38 Boss Erebus starts at 7:00pm, so I might shift it around and make this the second lobby, so the next lobby: Ledgend1221 Bnus EliteSpartan Will run at 5:30pm, and go for a good hour and a half considering we're playing platinum, if we do not fill the hour and a half timeslot to reach 7:00pm, then we will go another round or however many are necessary, same for the aforementioned "first" team. Is this okay? Considering if 7:00pm was like 3:00am, this should be around 1:00am, but you wouldn't have gone at 3:00am anyways, likely later. Anyways, is the 5:30pm EST/1:30am Wherever You Are work?
  17. Bagels, welcome back! We've had quite a bit of food people missing lately, first you then BaconShelf, it doesn't matter though, again welcome back!
  18. Recently, we were delivered an exciting piece of news, Halo: Escalation to follow the Halo Wars storyline in a way, now, we have details to run off of with a cover and description! The base information and image come from ComicBookResources.com, who listed multiple upcoming Dark Horse titles. Starting off with the cover, it is noticeable that this is a Forerunner world, surprisingly enough looking much more dense and valley-like compared to Requiem which was overloaded with metal buildings and constructs, this seems to be more of an isolated plain, but one construct is still noticeable with the typical forerunner silver and blue. The area actually hearkens back to Forge World from Halo: Reach, oddly enough, it looks nearly exactly the same! We can clearly see Thorne and three squadmates observing the valley. Majestic team was composted of five members, and we know that one particular squadmate was killed in action, so one squadmate, likely Thorne, took over the team. The warthog is included in the shot, and for the first time we see a Halo 4 era Turret-less warthog have a main feature in the story somehow. In the reflection of the front visor, we can clearly see more silver and metallic structures, as well as some form of floating debris. Oddly enough in the backdrop you can make out what looks like more continents floating above, as the outline is thicker then that of a cloud, similar to the Halo 5 trailer where whole planets could be seen from the landscape. View attachment: HaloEscalation7.jpg The most odd feature of the image is what looks like Forerunner cruisers ascending from the ground, three to be exact. Their appearance looks oddly similar to the Promethean Turrets fought in-game, without the orange details coursing through the sides. Could this be an indication of a sort of Allied Promethean group in the next Halo? The original blue Promethean Soldiers only fought the Chief because their function was to keep anyone attempting to awake the Didact out. Since these were Librarian Prometheans, and the Librarian does side with the Chief, could we see allies within the Prometheans in later titles? View attachment: Halo4-169-610x805.jpg Next, the description. It clearly states that New Phoenix, which had the entire population exterminated at the end of Halo 4, has been opened up and now Thorne will be going in to investigate. Two interesting pieces that go along with each other here are, "what it has to do with the Master Chief," and, "An essential addition to the Halo canon!" These lines signal that this will have an effect on John's journey in Halo: Xbox One, and that it will be essential to Halo's canon story. Of course, this could be marketing strategies and not anything large at all, but previous escalation comics have shown this to be false with the death of a member of Majestic, as this has a major effect on Majestic's role in the story. So taking all of that in, would you enjoy fighting alongside the Prometheans or rather keep them as enemies? Credits to Brett for pointing out this article to me! View full article

  20. Thief came before Dishonored... Looooooong before Dishonored. Little History Lesson: Thief is actually a remake of a PC title from the 90s.
  21. I support this rule, as a member of the News Group, 100 percent. Plagiarism isn't cool guys, content that isn't original isn't as interesting to read and is more of a turn-off to promote or even like. It's sad to see certain members copy from articles, even if not 100% of the article is a copy/paste. I know you guys have the potential, just tap into it, I promise it will make you prouder of your work. Again, fully behind this rule and supportive Red.
  22. What did I tell you Drizzy? There will never be a weekly site wrapup with my name not somewhere on it :3 Wonderful Wrapup! That hot topic seems to be worth a read, I need to check it out when I can.
  23. One of Forza's artists has just revealed concept art that looks to be for the next Forza title, Forza: Deep South. Forza Motorsport 5 was met with critical success as somewhat of an early system seller for the Xbox One, with Dead Rising, as it received critical praise as one of the most beautiful games of 2013 and won Best Driving Game at the VGX. Naturally, driving fans and Forza fans are excited for what is in store for the game's future, which may be set in the Louisiana Bayou, a strange advancement from Forza 5's industrial city areas. The artist who leaked the photos hinting at the next game works directly with Dhurva Interactive, whom if you remember designed quite a bit of art for Turn 10 in Forza 4 and Forza Horizon. His reveal came directly from his cghub.com account where he leaked two photos reminiscent of the bays and bayous of the Deep South, possibly hinting at a new spin-off series like Horizon, or a Horizon sequel like was leaked much earlier this year. View attachment: Forza-Deep-South.jpg To add fuel to the fire of a Horizon 2, team members at Playground Studios, who developed the original Horizon, claim to be working on an Xbox One title. One artist by the name of Simon Gibson, said that, "Responsible for overseeing the internal and external (outsource) production of all vehicles for for the project." Leading all of these links to point to a Forza Horizon 2 set in the Deep South Bays and Lakes, which could turn out well on the Xbox One's new capabilities for lighting effects. View attachment: Forza-Deep-South-2-610x271.jpg An interesting design choice and change, but for those who enjoyed the open roads of Colorado and the banks and turns of Prague in Horizon and Motorsport 5, this might be one Forza to look at deeper before deciding on a purchase.
