  1. Some really sad news coming out tonight as 2K Australia, a Borderlands and Bioshock developer, is being shut down. While I know some may disagree, I found Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel to be a very good game, especially for a studio that had never done a Borderlands title, and I was excited to see where 2K Australia went from there, however, it seems their creative light has been snuffed out. IGN.com reports that a shutdown will be underway and that the last AAA studio from Australia will be closing it's doors at an unreleased date. 2K said in an official statement, "We can confirm we have taken steps to begin the studio closure process for 2K Australia in order to better manage ongoing development costs while improving the working proximity of our creative teams. We are very grateful for the team’s valuable contributions to numerous 2K projects, and are working with affected staff to explore reassignment opportunities where possible." More news will be available at a later date about when exactly the studio will be going and how. View attachment: borderlandspre.jpg 2K seems to be going through a bad patch financing games they can't afford, the scale of games like Bioshock Infinite and Borderlands 2 seemed to have sealed the fate of Irrational Games and 2K Australia as they need to compensate to make their rates. While it's sad to see 2K Australia go so early, they'll always be remembered for their work on Bioshock and Borderlands.
  2. Over the weekend, it has been confirmed that the creator of the beloved Borderland Franchise has parted ways with developer gearbox in pursuit of other adventures. The confirmation comes via Matthew's Twitter over the weekend. Snippet below... He had spoken also with PC Gamer about his departure and claims his leaving gearbox was not done out of spite, internal issues, franchise direction or any other matter internally, that it was simply just time for him to move on and find the next big thing. His leaving is at a non-critical point in the franchise as it is reported that Gearbox only recently started hiring on developers to start work on Borderlands in January, meaning that the creative development process has not even begun yet. Below is an example job posting over at Gearbox for a Tools developer. Tools developing is obviously required before any assets can be planned or created. hence the development process hasn't begun yet. So what does this mean for the future of Gearbox and Borderlands? No doubt many fans of the franchise will be saddened and dismayed by Matt's exit to the beloved game series. More importantly, this may also lead to a vast array of mixed feelings as to the outcome of the future titles for Borderlands. Can they succeed without Matthew's direct writing and creative input? Can we look to the demise of 2k Australia as a sign of things to come for Borderlands out of Matthew's hands? Only time will tell if Gearbox can continue to pump out quality story and gameplay without it's Flagship titles creator. And what does this mean for any E3 plans gearbox may have had for 2015? I am sure more news and interviews about this development are sure to follow in the coming days. As more news about his departure comes in, I will do my best to pass it on. So 343i Community, what are your thoughts about this news and what do you see for the future of Borderlands?

  5. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, welcome to the third Weekly Site Wrap-Up! I once again have three exciting articles mashed into one amazing piece for your reading pleasure. So let's get down to business and start reading, shall we? View attachment: WNW 50314.JPG Showtime Vying for Deal with Halo TV Series The ever famous Halo TV series directed by Steven Spielburg may be shifting from it's Xbox One exclusivity according to Variety. Variety.com says that the show, as well as the deal with Showtime, have been underway for nearly a year and it's been a difficult process, as Halo is such a prime asset to Microsoft. As well, tensions arose because both sides have been charting new frontiers for a new show to air. Nancy Tellem had brought up the show profusely at the New Front presentation recently, but Showtime wasn't mentioned strangely. Representatives on both sides refused to comment on the matter as of yet. View attachment: halo4-hero.jpg Would access of the Halo TV series become easier and more fluid for you if it was on Showtime? Add your feedback and discussion below, thanks for the read! Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare DLC to come to Xbox First Activision's newest title in the Call of Duty franchise, Advanced Warfare, seems to already have exclusivity deals on the way with Microsoft and the Xbox. According to Xbox.com themselves, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare DLC will come to Xbox One and Xbox 360 platforms before Playstation and PC. This shouldn't count as a surprise, considering Call of Duty: Ghosts also had timed DLC for Xbox One and 360 platforms. The page reveals a wealth of other content as well, such as the name of the leader of this Private Corporation, called Atlas, the man's name is Jonathan Irons. View attachment: CoDAW.jpg Does this information dictate your decision as to whether you will purchase the game on Xbox or another platform? Let me know, be sure to debate below! Borderlands 2 Vita Edition Downgraded to 2 Player Only Co-op Borderlands 2 on PSVita was a highly hyped title, mainly due to the promise of a full open world game like Borderlands with four player cooperative play in the palm of your hands, unfortunately, this won't entirely be the case. On a blog on PlayStation.com, focusing on the testing of Borderlands 2 on the Vita, Justin Massongill, Sony's social media specialist, stated that the game was being downgraded even though they had aimed for four player parties. He said that "while they [sCEA] strived to include four-player co-op in the game, they made a decision late in their development cycle to focus on providing the best two-player-only co-op experience possible." This decision could impact the sales of the system's bundle with the game now, as many players mainly pre-ordered for the feature they had been promised. View attachment: borderlands2_review_massive_gamepage.jpg What's your take on this matter, will you still purchase the game on Vita, or do you have others reasons to avoid it? Discuss below, have a good day, and thanks for reading. That's your Wrap-Up everyone, and on time this week! Tune in next week for another batch of reading pleasures from yours truly, be sure to rate and comment on the article, and I'll see you next time!

  7. Hello everyone, Edward Kenway coming to you with not one, not two, but THREE action packed events taking place within the next month! So gear up your Xboxs, loot your loot, up your biotics, and prepare to drop in Edward’s Trinity Events! For our first playdate, with a confirmed date of April 6th, likely near the end of the day, we will be playing Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer in the Multiplayer Playdate. We’ll be playing against a large variety of enemies and on quite the amount of maps. A small note to players, if possible download the packs, as we will be playing on DLC maps. The add-ons are 100% free and will not cost Microsoft points to buy. Coming up second is the dark and melancholy Halo 3 ODST Endure Playdate. This one is more challenge specific as I will take a team of three players and attempt the Endure vidmaster with them. The date will be edited in when it is decided. Finally, to end it with a bang, we take a trek into the Badlands of Pandora in the Borderlands 2 Co-operative Playdate. Each group will randomly be fighting a pre-chosen boss, such as Bewm Boom or Saturn, just for the fun of it, as the next group cycles in. The way this will all work, since these games are 4 player only, is we will use a team based cycling system, depending on when you sign up. Let’s say Bnus signs up below first for the Mass Effect 3 playdate, then Yoshi, then D-38 Boss, these three along with me will play a round on the highest difficulty, then I move to the next three that signed up, the same formula for ODST and Borderlands 2. Sign up below for what games you will be joining, and thanks to Onsokumaru for sponsoring the Events! Credits to JX and Gryffin as well for the images. Current Attendees: Mass Effect 3: Halo5 Follower D-38 Boss Erebus ___________ Ledgend1221 Bnus JXZAW ___________ Borderlands 2: Anarchy D-38 Boss JXZAW ___________ Yang Xaoi Long Halo 3: ODST: Halo5 Follower Erebus Bnus ___________ ShadowFiend JXZAW
  8. Took me a while to fix the legs and the torso. I don't know were the scanner is. The hair was not that hard, it was easy to make the wrinkles and stuff. Glad my style fits Borderlands. I'll do request, who do you want me to do next? Maya the Siren
  9. Depends on the volt hunter, would Maya surpass the Didact? Who has the best lifting power? I don't know if the bandits would stand a chance against Covenant, they seem too primitive in a way. Plus the Covenant could glass Pandora. Hyperion is not nearly as cool as Forerunner tech, unless Hyperion has something I don't know about (I don't know everything about BL) Your thoughts? I am a huge BL fan, but I want to know more of it's abilities.
