I imagine that the Prometheans will have their own take on a mini-boss type enemy. There's actually another thread discussing this on the Halo 4 sub-forums if your interested. It should be interesting to see what 343 industries comes up with in this regard.

If this was meant to be a troll post I wouldn't have included the parenthesis and logical reasoning as to why I don't think that they should be in War Games. Don't make me out to be something that I am not. I edited the title, so now there can be no confusing whether I am trolling or not (which I wasn't).

It doesn't have to have a point it just has to be fun. Invasion is confirmed not to be coming back I thought though so it doesn't really matter to much.

Lets be honest here, there were so few elite players that I've seen that they were just a waste of space anyway. Why not save that space for more interesting, useful, and smart stuff like rocks and twigs. I mean I would go into a BTB game and 1 out of every 16 players would be an elite... and that is in a rare match up.

That sounds pretty cool actually. Though I don't think it would help the shoutbox much to be able to t-bag other members in a smilie. (LOL) POST NUMBER 343

This thread is all in the name of good fun. Nothing is to be taken too seriously. Though I hope that some serious discussion can go along-side the fun argument stuff.

With all due respect to your inferior race... If elites were the slightest bit intelligent why haven't they used their more advanced technology to create your own spartan type super soldiers.

They have small misplaced heads and are very difficult to play against in playlists such as SWAT. While it is true that the hitbox is the same, it gets difficult to play against elite players when you've trained yourself against spartans non-stop. Yes, Its true that I also think they aren't nearly as cool looking as the spartans.

I hope its something massive that will renew my un-waivering hype for Halo 4 a little. An announcment saying that they decided to bring back firefight would be amazingly awesome, but stands next to no chance of happening. Best case scenario in my opinion is that they show us their new forge world and some stuff that they have created on it or some new features. In addition I would hope to see at least one new multiplayer map and a bunch of footage so that we can better understand the gameplay mechanics and what we should expect come release. If they did this then I would be happy. Not to mention the forums would get another large wave of new content to sift over and discuss similar to the wave we got during and directly after E3 2012.

well if it was in forge it would sort of be okay. It would, for obvious reasons, never make it to a competetive matchmaking map. It would just be useful for minigames and stuff or maybe a spartan laser in BTB if it went through some serious playtesting and balancing. I would be fine with this but for most weapons it would be simply stupid (pistol). I imagine that a Spartan Laser mounted on a turret would be pretty cool, as would a concussion rifle, a sniper rifle, and a grenade launcher (which I believe isn't returning). It could also work on a competetive level if the turret was placed in a high risk location and was given a small clip size or low rate of fire.

Its impossible to have a real clue yet. I imagine there will be something completely new and different than the Promethean Knights as a boss. Though I personally think that it would be cool to fight a super skilled Promethean knight who tele-ports everywhere and slashes at you with twin swords or a heavy explosive weapon. It would be like Wesker from Resident Evil. It just sidesteps about half your bullets until it gets close and then bashes you to pieces. Probably not going to happen, but I think that it would be a pretty cool concept.

Personally I hope they really try and push the limit in terms of Easter Eggs in Halo 4. They are a very easy way to add hours of replayability to a video game. They give you a goal every time you put your disc in your xbox. Remember exploring way off the beaten path in Halo 2 levels such as Outskirts and Delta Halo? Imagine if they hid forerunner super-weapons way out there and in the bottom of oceans and stuff. At the very least they could make it so that you always felt there was new things to discover in the single player. I see no reason to stop with what they did in previous Halo games. Go above and beyond and create a game with many days of Egg Hunting before completion. Make it so that you have to work to find theme. Make them better than ever. More supercool easter eggs like the scarab gun from Halo 2 in harder to reach places. That is what I envision in regards to what role Easter Eggs will play in Halo 4.

While I don't think that they will be making a common appearance, I'd be shocked if they didn't make at least one appearance as a mini-boss type part.

I'm sure that the fuel rod gun will be making a return. Fighting grunts wouldn't be nearly as fun as it is if there wasn't ever the possibility of having an arcing green instant death launched at you. My logic is simply that I cannot see a reason that It wouldn't be included.
