I think they should bring some from both, but... but, if you are into the whole entire story of halo, I'm sure there was a reason for the UNSC and the Covenant, to get rid of those weapons or adjust them to make them better, remember that Reach fell long before Halo 3

I donno if anyone has said this yet but these guys interviewed o'connor and he quotes that cortana will soon go rampant, and that then end of the trilogy will most likely be sold on microsoft's next console. If this is true, goodbye Cortana. We'll miss you!

I think if they were on shield worlds, they would have run out of food (Sentient life) to use so they would all be dead. Plus Master Chief could be anywhere...

After the portal went down and all that, where do you guys think the master chief actually ended up? for all we know he could be still in slipspace or in another universe. Maybe the ship we see in the Trailer is actually a human ship that one got lost in slipspace? what do you guys think?
