  1. Ah, ok, just making sure. Anyway, day 4 isn't going so well, I have the Firefox script running but we just don't have enough people.
  2. I just noticed that in the OP, you say that ILB was Bungie's first ARG. But it was actually the cortana letters for Halo CE: http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Cortana_Letters
  3. Please do this guys, the ARG's support is dwindling and we really need more people.
  4. 4chan's /v/ got day 3: http://alphalupi.bun...39283143985.jpg edit: Or maybe /g/, I don't know
  5. I'm calling fake... The reason is what he supposedly tried to do at first, sell the development kit on ebay. No one who actually wanted to make money off of some new secret devise would try to sell it on ebay. You would only post it on ebay if you just wanted attention. So now, this guy says that he has played xbox 720 games and has one of the consoles himself! Why would Microsoft even let this guy near any secret stuff again after he already tried to sell one of their new xboxs on ebay? Also why is he not being sued for violating his NDA? I'm assuming if he got anything in the first place he got it through Microsoft because why else would you have two development kits. His whole story just doesn't add up.
  6. The guys on /r/Games solved the ARG one minute before the guys over at /v/. Here's a link to their post on the solution: This is the final picture:
  7. MSE is quite good for Windows, it's all you will ever really need. If you are paying for anti-virus you are doing something wrong since any paid anti-virus software can be matched or beaten by a free counter part. If you have a Mac, ClamXav is very good and is available in the App Store for free.
  8. That's because they are, they just hooked up some xbox controllers to it.
  9. Download some free anti-virus and run some scans. That should fix your problem.
  10. They shouldn't cost any more because just about every new game that comes out is also made for the PC which the new consoles are most certainly not going to be better than. So the only real difference would be that console ports are a bit less 'watered down' so to speak. Also, games are getting cheaper to buy with time, not more expensive. Old cartridge games could cost upwards of $100.
  11. The retailer is the cause of this who thing. If they gave the devs a cut of used game sales then they wouldn't care. The problem is that if you currently buy a used game not a cent goes to the people who actually made it and instead all of the money goes to the store that sells it.
  12. It could work in one of two ways: 1. The game would constantly require an internet connection to play and it would cut out if you lose that connection. 2. When you first try to play the game it would first check it's servers to make sure that your specific disc hasn't been used before, it would then register the game on your console allowing you to always play it in the future. Like a one time entrance kind of thing.
  13. With just two weeks to go until we "see the future" of PlayStation, we're starting to hear more details on the future of Xbox. Edge magazine reports that Microsoft's new console will require an internet connection with activation codes for games on 50GB-capacity Blu-ray discs. Citing sources with "first-hand experience" of the new Xbox console, Edge says it's likely that purchased games will not be able to be resold. We've heard rumors about Microsoft's Blu-ray plans and an anti-used-game system before, but an activation system coupled with an online requirement sounds like a key way to prevent piracy for the next-generation of console games. If Microsoft locks out the second-hand market for its next Xbox console then that will not sit well with a number of gamers, so we'd hope that Microsoft has plans to support game sharing somehow. Edge also backs up previous rumors that an AMD CPU will power the next Xbox, but doesn't shed light on any further specifications. Microsoft is widely expected to fully detail its next-generation Xbox at E3 in the summer, with a release date later this year. Text taken from The Verge Link to the original article: http://www.theverge....ion-codes-rumor If this is true then that means that you would not be able to play your xbox if you lose connection to the internet and you would have to be online to play any game. While this would get rid of the predatory used game industry, which is probably a good thing, it would turn many people off of the new console. What are your thoughts on the matter?
  14. It's only like a year and a half old, and site re-models are expensive!

  18. Don't you just hate it when you're trying to play a football game and then Bane cuts the power...
  19. My opinion on gun control is that there are three types of crimes, convenience killing(man that guy at work really made me angry today I'll show him!), targeted 'hits'(Heavily planned killings normally gang stuff), and mass shootings(also heavily planned). 2 and 3 are difficult to stop since the people behind them are willing to go to extraordinary measures to get the materials they need and likely have their minds set on what they're doing. However the most common one, the first one, could probably be avoided by a month or so long waiting period since then whatever issue the person has will have probably resolved itself or the person will have calmed down. As for dealing with 3 there isn't any clear cut way. Probably the best way would be going after ammunition and reducing magazine size. However I'm also in favor of a ban on Assault Weapons because there is no reason not to, they can't be used for hunting, are irrelevant in home defense, and it's not like they are just carried around enough by standard civilians to be effectively used against shooters in public. EDIT: In response to Doc's remark about the tyrannical government thing, due to the size and strength of the US military any armed uprising would be crushed instantly, if you wanted a fair fight you would have to also legalize Tanks, RPGs, Fighter Jets, Anti Ar Missiles, and nuclear bombs. A few hicks armed with semi-automatic AR-15s wouldn't have much of a chance against an FA-22 Raptor, a B-2, a Missile Cruiser, or even just a properly trained army unit. Also if you are really worried up a tyrannical government than we are clearly doing this whole Democracy thing wrong.
  20. Hopefully when you get everything sorted out you will be welcomed back with open arms
  21. I wonder if it will be friends with me? And the rest, after a sudden wet thud, was silence.
