  2. All of today's UK gaming headlines in one place... onami released the first details on PES 2013 today, which it says sees the series "returning to its roots" with "the most faithful recreation of modern day football to date". Elsewhere, EA properly kicked off the Crysis 3 hype train as developer Crytek told us it's able to do things on consoles that "no-one has done before". Check out the stunning debut gameplay trailer here. Meanwhile, Activision hinted at a near-future setting for Black Ops 2, with the Call of Duty website teasing advanced tech for the new shooter in the form of a quadrotor RC attack drone. 4. You are very welcome, and anyone else curious about the "forerunner secrets" picture?
  5. They do, i honestly think the grunts look better and the elite looks more awesome.
  6. (Thought i should post this) Halo 4 promises to introduce gamers to a whole new set of locations, enemies, and story lines surrounding the adventures of Master Chief and Cortana. While many elements of that new vision, including details about the new enemies in the game, remain under wraps, a closer look at concept art from the game helps to illustrate some of the most exciting new elements on the way. Lost in Space John-117 and Cortana have been floating through space aboard the UNSC Forward Unto Dawn for four years, seven months, and ten days. This interior shot of the shattered ship hints at some important story elements. Cortana's curled up form speaks to her distress, which will play strongly into some of the events of the game. As Halo 4 begins, Cortana will be facing her own imminent madness and death; as a smart AI, her seven year lifespan will create serious challenges to the unshakeable partnership between the two characters. A Glimpse of Things To Come This atmospheric piece is more than meets the eye. Depicting the observation deck of the Forward Unto Dawn, a closer look offers two big details outside the ship's window. The Covenant Banshee flying past proves that Master Chief isn't quite done with his fight against Elites and the rest of the Covenant races. More importantly, the glowing blue light further back reveals the opening into the vast Forerunner artificial world called Requiem. Events will conspire to send the Forward Unto Dawn through that gateway and down to the planet beyond the outer shell. Crash Landing The Forward Unto Dawn will eventually pass through the outer shell of Requiem and crash land onto the surface of the planet inside, echoing the beginnings of Halo: Combat Evolved and Master Chief's unceremonious crash onto the original Halo. While it's unclear how central this crash site will be to the rest of the story, it's apparent that Master Chief will get at least some of his human-built weapons and vehicles from the remains of the hulking wreck. Requiem One of the central locations depicted in Halo 4, Requiem is an ancient artificial world created by the mysterious Forerunner civilization millennia ago. A big part of Halo 4 will involve exploring its many secrets. Take a closer look at the art, and you can see that the pillar-like objects are actually hanging from above. That's because Requiem is surrounded by a huge outer shell, and numerous stalactite-like objects hang down from the interior of the ceiling. Forerunner Secrets This Forerunner artifact image comes with few details from 343 Industries, but it's not hard to make some guesses. At first glance, the artifact's shape calls to mind an ancient sarcophagus, or storage chamber. Could this be the resting place of a dead Forerunner, or even its ancient cryo chamber? Or does this Forerunner artifact have another purpose? 343 isn't telling, but the developers have hinted that this image relates to the multiplayer storyline. NEXT UP: The largest ship in the human fleet, and the mask-free look for a familiar foe Infinite Options The UNSC Infinity is the largest spacecraft ever crafted by human hands, clocking in around three and a half kilometers in length, and incorporating technology gleaned from the Covenant during the grueling war. It is also the home of the Spartan IVs and a secret mission that will send them into the deepest reaches of space. All of Halo 4's multiplayer will occur on or connected to the Infinity. Competitive games are part of the Spartan IV's training aboard the holographic combat deck. Cooperative away missions called Spartan Ops will send teams of up to four Spartans on new missions every week. Eventually, the Infinity will somehow come into contact with Master Chief and his battles on Requiem. Ruined, Yet Still Alive The Forerunner structures on Requiem may be ancient and at times overgrown, but 343 promises that we'll also see these facilities more active and alive than Forerunner ruins in previous games. While it's unclear who the new enemies will be on the planet, it's obvious by the familiar handheld shields in this image that the Covenant are also present on the mysterious world. 343 has suggested that we'll see interesting interactions between the Covenant and the new enemy force. Something tells us the new bad guys aren't going to like the Coveanant being on Requiem any more than they like Master Chief being there. Ancient Technology Here's another glimpse at the strange environment of Requiem, and the obelisk-like Forerunner structures that still exist there after 100,000 years. Requiem is a special variation on a Forerunner Shield World. Among other things, the Shield Worlds were constructed by the Forerunners as places that would remain safe from the Halo pulse that wiped out all sentient life in the galaxy. Have Forerunners survived all these centuries? Or does something else live here now? Old Friends? This Elite Zealot is among the troops that attack Master Chief aboard the Forward Unto Dawn. While it's not clear exactly why the Covenant are out for human blood once again, you can look to the recent Karen Traviss Glasslands novel for hints. In that story, a radical religious sect of Elites comes to odds against both the rest of the Covenant as well as humanity. The Covenant and their appearance near the strange world called Requiem likely has something to do with the fallout from that conflict. Fashion Forward Everyone's favorite scurrying alien bullet bags have received a makeover. Specifically, new technology available to the Unggoy (the actual name of the Grunts) has allowed them to remove the bulky methane masks that once constrained them, and instead wear a more comfortable breathing tube plugged directly into their noses. No matter what they wear on their faces, we assume we'll still get to hear lots of nonsensical cries of terror from the Grunts as Master Chief charges into their midst.
  7. Hello and welcome to 343i community forums.
  8. DMR Do you like Leather ( jackets, furniture, any clothes etc)?
  9. Gamers everywhere are understandably stoked for any news of the long in-development sequel, Half-Life 3. (or maybe it's Half-Life 2: Episode Three). As yet, Valve has never officially acknowledged the game, so it may not even exist. But Valve managing director Gabe Newell had some very interesting things to say on a recent podcast that sure seem to be about Half-Life 3, specifically, what's taking them so long to put it out. On a recent episode of Seven Day Cooldown, Newell spent a long time talking about the development process of "Ricochet 2," which is most likely a coded way of discussing the next Half-Life. The reasoning for not just discussing the game outright is fascinating. Newell feels that exposing fans to the ongoing heartbreak and toil of a game's development does them a disservice, but he still wanted to discuss "Ricochet 2," which is, hypothetically, Half-Life 3 (or Half-Life 2: Episode 3. It's all very convolution, as I'm sure you've noticed.) Anyway, under the "Read More," you'll see Gabe's entire quote, and I suggest you pore over it and read it like psychics read tea-leaves for any clues or hints as to when we'll see Half-Life 3 and what sort of game it will be. NEWS: <a href="http://www.g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/719509/half-life-3-rumors-amount-to-community-trolling-according-to-valve/">Half-Life 3 Rumors Amount To "Community Trolling" “In terms of Ricochet 2, we always have this problem that when we talk about things too far in advance,” Newell said. “We end up changing our minds as we're going through and developing stuff, so as we're thinking through the giant story arc which is Ricochet 2, you might get to a point where you're saying something is surprising us in a positive way and something is surprising us in a negative way, and, you know, we'd like to be super-transparent about the future of Ricochet 2.” NEWS: Half-Life 3 Protest Provokes Smile, Interview There's a lot of expectations built up about the next Half-Life, I think you'll agree, and the story is only part of it. There's also the huge strides action/FPS games have made technically since the release of the last Half-Life game was released. For instance: Would a Half-Life game "have" to include health recharging and a robust cover system? Would it have to also feature multiplayer of some kind?
  10. All of today's UK gaming headlines in one place... he Witcher 2 kicked off our Monday morning by debuting atop the UK all formats chart for the week ended April 21. Soon after Nintendo confirmed that just announced 3DS game New Super Mario Bros. 2 will launch across Europe this August, GTTV teased a "huge new PS3 exclusive" set to be revealed on Thursday, which just might be PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, while Activision said it's to reveal the next Call of Duty game on May 1. 11. Call of Duty Eclipse launching on November 13? Activision's set to pull back the curtain on its next Call of Duty game on May 1, but the internet doesn't like waiting for official reveal dates. The game's widely expected to be Black Ops 2 from Treyarch, although new speculation based on supposedly leaked retailer merchandising suggests 'Eclipse' may also feature in the title. It's also rumoured to be set for release on November 13, the second Tuesday of the month and a day when a total solar eclipse will take place. Activision attempted to delete a long list of potential Black Ops 2 multiplayer details from the CoD forums back in March, and further unverified MP details have now emerged. They might be completely fake, but how do you like the sound of the perks, weapons and game modes listed below, via MP1st, and what would you like to see in Black ops 2? Game Modes- Escort ~ A game mode in which you escort a player across three flags to achieve victory. The enemy team killing the player will result in a win for their side. Split Spawn ~ A game mode in which you spawn from a hellicopter, and climb down to get to the ground. The player starts with 3 lives. One player can control the chopper to let you climb down in different areas, as well as shoot from the chopper. If the chopper is destroyed, players can no longer spawn. Players compete for a central flag that takes 2x as long to capture than a regular domination flag. Either the death of all opposing players or the capturing of the flag will grant you a win. This game has 2 rounds. Equalizer ~ A game mode in which players are switched to the enemy team upon death. Players will compete for a flag, which when owned, open up a power plant to allow the player to customize their class in game, get new weapons, and put on a juggernaut suit for their team only. When there are 2 players left on a team, they are granted with the power plant automatically, and pointstreaks up to a 5 point requirement can also be obtained. If either of the two players die, they will remain on their own team. The team with the most converts (kills) at the end will win. If tied, whoever is currently owning the power plant will win. -Perks- (Only new and modified!) (Perk slot not yet defined!) To clarify what elite is, it is a side-pro perk you can choose when leveling up the base perk. These elite perks ONLY work if paired with another BASE perk. 1. Spy - Appear as a friend on the map. (Disadvantage is, you're always spotted even without a UAV, and when shooting, you turn red on the map) b. Pro - Detect enemy spies. They will still always be spotted on the radar. c. Elite - If Pilot is active, your airship will be marked as an ally. 2. Escape Artist - When going prone, you feign death (You cannot shoot during) b. Pro - When approaching death, the enemies crosshairs will turn to white, and your name will dissapear. c. Elite - if Diver is active - You realistically fall into your feign death instead of diving. 3. Audiophile - Players with silenced weapons will show on your radar if they are shooting at you or close around you. b. Pro - Footsteps are louder c. Elite - If bladesman is active - kniving will show up on the radar 4. Defuser - Throw all equipment but cookable grenades up to 2x farther - a hollow circle will show up around your crosshairs, and the circle will fill in 3 seconds. When the circle is full, it will throw 2x farther, when it is empty, it will throw 1x as far. b. Pro - Be able to take semtex off of players and throw them elsewhere, and be able to pick up any enemy equipment and use it as your own. c. Elite - if quickdraw is active - the circle will fill in 1.5 seconds. 5. Juggernaut - Regenerate health faster while moving b. Pro - Regenerate health faster while crouched c. Elite - If scavenger is active - you are able to drop ammo packs for your team. Side note: Earlier, Treyarch Developer David Vonderhaar did mention that the next Call of Duty would not include regenerative health perks. 6. Diver - You can dive into cover (A.K.A. Dolphin Dive) - and while diving you can still shoot, however when you land it takes awhile to regain focus. b. Pro - You crawl 2x faster c. Elite - With Extreme conditioning active - You can sprint while crawling to crawl faster (3x) instead of getting up. 7. Pilot - Your flying killstreak's kills will count towards your next killstreak. b. Pro - Your controllable flying killstreaks will last until they are shot down. c. Elite - With blind eye active - Your uncontrollable flying killstreaks will not show on the map. 8. Technician - Any land killstreak's kills will count towards your next killstreak. b. Pro - Your Advnaced UAVS will disable the enemies UAV c. Elite - If defuser is active, your sentries cannot be taken down instantly. 9. Bladesman - You have 2 knives in each hand instead of just one in one hand. (This essentially makes knives kill twice as fast.) b. Pro - You have a chance of dodging the incoming players knife. c. Elite - If assasin is active - kniving will be completely silent and not show on the killfeed, unless countered by audiophile elite. 10. Conciousness - While standing, you are just as accurate as when you are prone b. Pro - Your bullets cause more flinching. c. Elite - If marksman is active - shooting your enemy will mark him on the mini map. 11. Focus - Be able to shoot while sprinting, even at the deduction of accuracy. b. Pro - Be able to shoot while jumping, even at the deduction of accuracy. c. Elite - If stalker is active - when jumping, equipment does less damage to you. 12. Deep Impact - Your bullets shoot through hard surfaces. b. Pro - Your bullets gain 50% damage with each person they go through. c. Elite - if steady aim is active - when hip-firing, your bullets have 10% more damage with each person they go through. -NEW!!- -Knife Melee Slot- 1. Default Knife - Takes 2 swipes to kill, you need to put it away, and take it back out like usual. 2. Tactical knife - Takes 4 swipes to kill, as long as you are pushing the melee button however, it will keep knifing 3. Tactical hammer - Takes longer to get out, takes 4 swipes to kill, you need to put it away and take it back out like usual, but against riot shields and machines it takes only 1 swipe to destroy. 4. Throwing knifes - Start with 4, fast to get out, fairly accurate, but takes 2 to kill and is ranged 5. Tomahawks - Start with 2, slow to get out, fairly innacurate, and takes 1 to kill and is ranged 6. Ballistic knife - [Disallows use of equipment] - A tactical knife in one hand, while a ballistic knife is in the other. You start with 2 ballistic knives, and they kill in 1 shot. These knives take a moderate time to get out. (With Bladesman on, you start with 3 ballistic knives and one ballistic knife in each hand.) -Guns- (More than EVER!!)
