Complete list of things that have destroyed Halo's competitive multiplayer.

1. Classes, the class system provides situational weapons that have an edge over other weapons at certain times, making situational unfair game play.

2. Armor Abilities, this is borderline retarded behavior, it promotes cheap, unfair game play, in which people use armor abilities to be as cheap as possible.

3. Sprint, complete and utter stupidity, ruins all call outs, lets you escape from situations you should of died in, makes shotgun, and especially sword, completely overpowered.

4. Ordances, holy crap this is a big one, ordinances are completely random, and completely destroys any type of predicatability, making the game stupidly random. For example on Halo 3, if you were on guardian, and appoaching Blue/Gold you could probably assume there will be a shotgun, and plan accordingly, 343 didn't like the idea or cordinated, collected, smart predictable, fair game play, so they decided to let people get random weapons at somewhat random times, and have the opposing team clueless to what it is. Now adays in halo 4, you turn a corner and get killed by someone sitting with a shotgun, from an ordanace, that you can't expect or have ANY way to prevent.

5. No mlg... What the Hell... Halo revolves around its Arena game play, and then you don't give an MLG list, then you put out "Training Ground" a complete ****ty ripoff of MLG, with the same maps and radar...

6. Terrible Weapon Balencing. Every weapon kills to fast, this promotes close to 0 team shotting, and more of a cluster **** of idiots taking turns easily 4 shotting each other.

7.TERRIBLE rank system, this whole exp rank system is good for people with no lives, and terrible at the game, to let them feel accomplished, but in reality Halo 3 did it perfectly with social, ranked matches, and a visible true skill rank, along with a playlist rank, that is based on EXP.

8. Bring back the strafing! You used to be able to stafe, crouch, jump, in order for them to miss shots in a BR duel, now that does absolutlely nothing, and makes it more of the CAll of Duty mentality of first person to shoot the other wins!

9. The worst map control, and terrible maps. Map control is hardly rewarded in any playlist, because the spawns are so ****ty, they won't spawn in their base, they will spawn in yours, ruining this entire part of the game.

10. Aiming, this whole bull**** of not getting pulled out of scope makes sniping WAY to easy, and makes long range too common.

11. Flinching, this again promotes the first person to shoot wins idea, when you get shot it makes it harder to shoot back, ******* stupid.

In conclusion, Halo 4 was the worst halo, by far, its pathetic, and i HOPE that 343 won't **** up like they did with Halo 4.

Have you tried getting good at the game?

1. Random ordnance provides a mix of surprises and annoyances. Nothing "****ty" or "****** up" about it.

2. Well no duh sprint allows for quick escapes. Sprint is a permanent part of the body. You can't just get rid of it, that would make no since.

3. Call of Duty is a decent game.

4. Armour abilities seem to mix well with the Halo universe to me.

5. Having classes is a real life thing in the military. Although its not called classes.

6 You have a potty mouth, fix that. Nobody is like with a mouth like that.

I hope I can settle some of your thoughts. :)

No mlg... What the Hell... Halo revolves around its Arena game play, and then you don't give an MLG list, then you put out "Training Ground" a complete ****ty ripoff of MLG, with the same maps and radar...

Mlg are no longer with Halo and have moved onto stuff like Cod so it may have been a lawsuit issue or 343 just wants to get away from the name Mlg. This does not mean Halo will not be comptive it just means comptive Halo is no longer called Mlg

The worst map control, and terrible maps. Map control is hardly rewarded in any playlist, because the spawns are so ****ty, they won't spawn in their base, they will spawn in yours, ruining this entire part of the game.

If you think this is bad play Halo Reach, Halo 4s were much better than Reach, but the spawn system fro H4 is a bit iffy at time but overall is okay

Flinching, this again promotes the first person to shoot wins idea, when you get shot it makes it harder to shoot back, ******* stupid.

But the first person to shoot should be the winner of the battle most of the time ? Shoot first ask questions later.

I think all the aspects you complained about have their pros and cons and it's up to you to find a counter.

This is literally the correct answer to a post like the OP.

343i wasn't going for competitive multiplayer with their first Halo game. They were going for fun multiplayer. While competitive CAN be fun, most of the time it's frustrating. Especially if you aren't naturally gifted at it. If you get ticked that you can't seem to get a kill, you tell your friends the game sucks. Then your friends don't buy the game. Then Halo doesn't get the record sales it needs after switching companies.

Unfortunately these days multiplayer is the whole reason people buy FPS games now. It's gotten to the point where some games that could have had an AMAZING single player campaign (Titanfall) had the single player element removed completely. As a result, more attention is payed to the multiplayer aspects of games these days, resulting in a mindset of "What can we add to make it more fun for the majority of people?" Thus, Halo 4 multiplayer was born.

Since this topic has been beaten to death, then beaten into a pulp, then beaten into atomic particles, and then beaten some more I'm going to lock the topic.
