To many of reaches maps were taken straight from the campaign. the DLC did help, (Anchor 9 being my personal favourite until anniv. DLC) The community maps were, for the most part good, but some were absolutely terrible, places you could get caught on, and becuase the map was so big, to many overlaping objects cuased major lag if you looked in that direction.

 

So for Halo 4's equivelent there should be multiple sandbox maps to prevent this lag from ocurring.

I have since learned this will be the case. I am VERY HAPPY.

I wouldn't mind if they set up a community matchmaking playlist (seperate from the others) but to be honest, other than "Ragnarok", which is looking really good, I'm happy with no re-makes from previous games. I would like the main maps that come with the game to be new, original and fresh. I'm hoping for some original experiences from these new maps and I don't think I'll be disappointed.

I'd love to see Valhalla of halo 3 unchanged. But on halo 4

They do. Its called Ragnarok

 

I would like to see Sandtrap WITH the Elephant.

 

Here is one from each, except Reach!

 

Blood Gultch (Halo CE)

This map became my favorite almost instantly. I would spend hours on BG with friends everyday. I knew this map like the back of my hand!

 

Lockout (Halo 2)

I got into competitive Halo late in H2 but this quickly became my favorite as I grew into a more strategic player.

 

The Pit (Halo 3)

To me, this map is the very best for competitive gameplay. I have watched and played many 4v4 MLG games on this map and almost all of them, no matter the gametype, have been very exciting.

Halo 1s' Blood Gulch, it has been my favorite map since the first time i played halo, in fact, it still is, pitty it's not in reach. :( (yes i do know they have one LIKE blood gulch in reach, but i want one almost EXACTLY THE SAME)

Any remakes must be EXACTLY like the original. so how can how say you want an exact remake of BG then a Sandtrap with more hidey places,

I don't recall the level name but I loved a level from Halo 1. It was basically two 3 or 4 floored structures facing each other with a few bridges/teleports linking the two sides. In the middle was a void Thayer would lead to you falling to your death.

Me and friends used to spend hours where two would start on one side and the other two on the other. It was then a sniper match. Simple but good fun.

If I had to choose only one from each halo game I would choose:

 

Halo 1 - Rat Race (For Slayer)

Halo 2 - Burial Mounds (For Snipers/Vehicles because it is kind of a big map)

Halo 3 - Narrows (For CTF)

Halo Reach - Zealot because I like it more than Countdown.

My biggest isue with Forge maps in Hslo Reach was that they all had the same bland look.

Same sky, same green grass, same gray ramps and bases. None of the maps have any character. I give 343 a lot of credit for making three very distinctive forge spaces,I hope they each have distinctive forge pieces rather than just tue plain generic forerunner gray blocks.

 

As for returning maps I do not want ANY save for one, Waterworks.

I want new maps with a new game. Valhalla being in Halo 4 does not bug me much because it's a nice big map with lots of space for vechicle combat and intense objective games.

 

Please no more Blood Gulch/Coagulation again. Im tired of it, played it to many times over the course of three games in the series.
