Do you think there will be nameplates in Halo 5?

I just got this idea in my head a little while ago: I wonder if they will implement nameplates in Halo 5, just like bungie did for Halo 2 and Halo 3. Since Halo 4 did not have any I wonder if Halo 5 will have it and also the Master Chief Collection to.

I think they were pretty cool. I wish I could have changed mine before Bungie.net stopped letting me but whatever. I wouldn't mind their return. It would be great if there were more weapons as nameplates, and some nameplates corresponded with achievements in the MCC.

That was Bungie's thing, like the Flame Armor effects. I think Bungie still has ownership over that (since it's like their signature in their games).

 

And if we continue with the Player ID cards like Halo 4 then where would the Symbols fit? I know there may be room for implementation of Symbols onto a Player ID card if 343i changed the layout a bit or something.

 

If we just have bars like we did pre-Reach (ODST/Wars does not count), then I can see Nameplates being a possibility. Destiny has player bars like in previous Halo games, so it's likely Bungie will be (at least) attempting to utilize the Nameplates within Destiny (from my guess).

well if the setup follows H4 why not just have player backgrounds like other games do? that'd be a lot cooler imo

I think Reach did it really well, recognizable emblems in your name tag and recognizable emblems on your spartan.
