At this year's RTX, 343 decided to show off some more stuff featured in the Master Chief Collection, but mostly in Halo 2 Anniversary. Before today, 343 had said that they had 'surprises' in store for us today, and they did. -Game music will specifically play in each game's menu that it belongs in. -Controller Options can be applied to every game with one touch of a button. -Original Halo 2 Skulls will be in the same places they belong in, as well as new skulls being thrown into the games also. -Halo 2 Anniversary will bring back some new gametypes such as Ricochet, SWAT, Infection, Race and etc... as well as old ones will return. -They had released a Terminal Trailer based on what we'll see in them in Halo 2 Anniversary. They are to cover the Arbiter's backstory. -They had also revealed a new vehicle that will be introduced into Halo 2 Anniversary: The Gungoose! -Not much is known about the 'Gungoose' yet, but it could possibly be a good equivalent to the Covenant Ghost in this case. The vehicle is basically a Mongoose with frontal-mounted Machine Guns. Imagine the firepower with this with a person equipped with a Rocket Launcher in the back. -Coagulation is another map confirmed to be remade for Halo 2 Anniversary's Multiplayer! #Hype! 4 down and 2 to go! -Halo 2 Anniversary's Multiplayer will NOT feature the past button combos, but the original Multiplayer will. -The Mongoose, Assault Rifle, Speed Boost AND the Silenced SMG will be introduced into Halo 2 Anniversary! (I got a quick picture of the Assault Rifle I found while whatching the Ascension walkthrough) -Ascension will now feature an energy shield in the middle of the map that can be activated through three different points. NOTE: The Gungoose, Assault Rifle, Silenced SMG, Mongoose, Speed Boost and the new Gametypes will only be avaliable for Halo 2 Anniversary Multiplayer. Also the Original Halo 2 Multiplayer and Anniversary Multiplayer will be 2 different playlists. They said that Halo 2 Anniversary Multiplayer is a fifth and separate option in Multiplayer you can choose from. I hope this screenshot I took helps answer your question too. Cooliest Posted July 6, 2014 Report Share Posted July 6, 2014 I LOVE that they found a happy medium for the weapon waypoints. That is so much classier and just all around cleaner. Rather that let everybody on the planet know that "ORDINANCE" has arrived just put a very small signifier in the general area of the weapon so someone walking by can see it when they may have otherwise not yet if they don't know where the power weapons are to begin with then they can't have them. BRILLIANT! Also I have thought that there should have been an update to the Mongoose since it first appeared in H3. The covenant get one seater vehicles that can boast for a splatter and have guns (and generally speaking they have the same damage resistance as a Mongoose. Yet the mongoose only has the ability to have a backseat passenger, yes with whatever weapon they found (rockets, sniper, sticky grenades), but that is if any teammate would ever decide to get on your mongoose and be the best shot in the world to kill some one while moving at those speeds. Blah blah blah. I could go on and on but the point is that I'm excited to see mongoose get the facelift they deserve. and the best part is that they are going to be in H2 anniversary not Halo 2 classic so if they do end up sucking just go play with crappy graphics on classics.
