TitanFall Maximum Player Count

TitanFall is inching closer and closer to release every day, and with each of these days it seems that there is always more news coming from Respawn Entertainment about what we should expect for their upcoming title. 

 

The most recent of this news was tweeted by Vince Zampella in response to a question a fan asked on Twitter yesterday:

This doesn't seem to be a very big problem in my opinion, considering Halo slayer matches are 4v4 and I have plenty of fun in Halo.  As Luke Karmali pointed out in an article on IGN, this player count does not include the AI fighters and points out that players can set their Titans to Guard mode or Follow mode.  So while its not going to surpass the player count set by other games, it still has all the makings of a very fun, competetive FPS.

That's interestingly small. I was a least expecting 8v8 with the size of the maps they have shown and the fact that it's on next gen. But I do prefer a mid sized range of players. I'm not much into games with 16 players total, so 6v6 sounds good to me. :)

It's not awful...

It's probably due to the fact that there is so much more going on in the game, so they can't allow for more than 6v6. They pushed the graphic or ai limit therefore limiting player count.

Or maybe it's not "can't" but "won't" because as the tweet reads it was the best balance. They're more worried about balancing not cramming players into a lobby.

6v6 is great people really need to remember the map is going to be filled with AI too so it won't even feel like 6v6. 


For XB1 this is awfully was at least expecting maybe at max 12v12 or something like that that is 24 players if you count them all up. :)

If you add in the AI bots that will act as filler enemies for people not to get frustrated it will be around 30 players. Remember balance is a lot more important than the amount of players you have in a game.
