  1. This perk is forced on you. Since everyone uses it, it is a must have on all of your classes. Not only does it increase grenade effectiveness, but it makes grenades less effective against you. If you don't use the perk, then your grenades are useless and you can get nuked by frags. The perk itself is bad design and must be removed. There is no tweaking that can be done to help make this perk balanced. If it is removed, then they should not add a perk that also makes grenades better or worse. Because, then we would have to use one of those perks. It would be like the Juggernaut and stopping power perks in COD 4. You would have to use one or the other. If anyone supports this stupid perk, then let me know in the comments below.
  2. I want to first off say that 343's attempt at making halo has been a good one. I avidly played previous halos and it was honestly the best multiplayer experience on xbox. This new halo offers some unique changes and these changes haven't gone over completely well with the veteran fanbase. I have a few suggestions to help the veteran fanbase and gameplay in general. The main topic being map DLC. DMR - It seems that there are alot of topics about the DMR being overpowered. I agree with this. It's a shame when you're all the way across the map and getting picked off by a DMR before you even have time to react. It is so noticeably more powerful then the other starting rifles that it causes a problem. I suggest a slight nerf to its power or a decent nerf to its fire rate. The light rifle scoped shot is powerful but you cannot fire that fast, a similar concept added to the DMR would balance it. Ordinance Drops - This seems to as well be a very covered topic amongst these forums and I for one think that they are an interesting idea but poorly done. There is a considerable lack of map control and weapon control because of these ordinance drops and lack of weapon placement on the maps. It is always frustrating when you turn a corner and anyone on the other team could come around with an incineration cannon or other power weapon. There is no longer any work for the power weapons which was a key element that made halo 3's multiplayer so great. Buff Suggestions - I would like to suggest a slight buff to plasma grenades (unless you stick someone they are completely worthless), the carbine (frightfully underpowered compared to the other rifles) and to vehicle health (I remeber when you had to make a big effort to take down a banshee or tank or some other vehicle, now one person with a starting weapon can just shoot them a few times and they'll blow up. You are more just a big target instead of something to be feared.) Maps/DLC playlists - This part is for the veteran players as well as new halo players that would like to experience the former glory of halo 2 and 3. 343's attempt at map making has not been good. I, along with many people I play with, have to come to agree that the only really DECENT (not great) maps with the game are Ragnarock, Haven and Longbow. Essentially every other map shipped with the game is not very good at all. Previous halo games had beautiful, well thought out and playable maps. *THIS IS MY MAIN REQUEST/SUGGESTION FOR THIS ENTIRE TOPIC* In order to make the multiplayer experience better I want to suggest the following to 343. I know this would be ambitious but it would greatly increase the playability and replay ability of Halo 4. Despite the fact that the DLC has already been announced and what maps will be released, I wish to suggest to 343 that they remake or just touch up maps from halos 2 and 3 to make a rather sizeable DLC for Halo 4. Obvious fan favorites such as Blood Gulch, The Pit, and Guardian (to name a few) would return. I for one believe that every halo 3 map with the exception of Isolation should come back (that seems too ambitious and I highly doubt 343 would bring back that many maps). Although I would like all those maps back some of the most popular small and big team maps would suffice. In addition to the maps, the DLC would also include ranked playlists specifically focused on the DLC maps. These playlist would vary between gametypes like Doubles (should be in the game already ) Slayer, Objective, Squad Battle, and others. The key elements to these playlists however would be that they include NO ARMOR ABILITIES, loadouts would be fine but would be limited to suit more skillful gameplay. NO PERSONAL ORDINANCE DROPS, and power weapons along with normal weapons would be on the maps. I believe this would be ambitious but if 343 could do it they will have succeeded in making the best halo game to date.
  3. I recently posted a topic about Halo 4 being a MAJOR dissapointment.. But now that i read up on some bugs and played a bit more, i have came to this conclusion: UPDATE: After reading through some things, Halo 4 is a pretty good game... Some guns and vehicles are over powered and there are some bugs but with a small update i think the game will be one of the best Halo's out there.. So, do u agree with that or no?? Follow this topic if you want more info on bug fixes/updates with Halo 4... Thanks for reading
  4. I've played approx. 10,000 - 15,000 matches of the halo sega for 12 years. Enough to confidently say what halo should consider fixing/looking at Level system - this wound has been picked endlessly but halo's series was founded on its competitive nature and goal to achive. You cared when you lost! 1-50 needs it return, It's Halo 4, reach died for a reason. Apparently they bring the halo 2 ranking system back. Search preferences: Where did they go? I was getting in consecutive europe-North american games and its brutally disadvantageous. Dmr is noticeably more effective than any other primary at 15 or more feet. Saw is overpowered: you can kill 3-5 spartans on one clip. Storm rifle and carbine are clearly under-powered. Boltshot is arguably over-power at close range. These are just a few things ive noticed I'm sure many others share my opinions but i'd be happy to hear what the community thinks about it. Oh and Double Team needs its return! im sure half the community agrees.. =)
  5. 1. The sniper "rifle" Whever I fire this so called "weapon" it sounds like a baby panda sneezing. A SNIPER SHOULD SOUND VICIOUS AND AGGRESSIVE NOT CUTE AND CUDDLY. 2. OP overshield I hopped into a match of Slayer and a couple minutes in, I had ordinance ready. I called down the overshield, and as I was running to it, someone on the enemy team began firing at me. He would have killed me, but as soon as my shield broke, I picked up the overshield. It recovered my health despite the enemy firing at me, and still gave me a full overshield. So not only was I momentarily invulnerable, but I was able to turn around and kill my opponent without a problem. I have a video of this in my file share, but I've yet to figure out how to find it on the site, so no links. But you should check it out. It's my only video, and it's disgusting. 3. Balance issues galore. Slayer throws you into matches with losing teams expecting you to do something useful, which is inevitably impossible if your opponents have any bit of skill. They've taken Armor Lock and nerfed the Jetpack. Why not nerf the Armor Lock as well, so that I can't get ******* destroyed by faggots who jetpack with a rocket launcher all game? So far this game has disgraced the Halo franchise. The thruster pack is absolutely useless. But above all, 343 has successfully implemented every single aspect from Call of Duty. If I wanted to play that game, I'd ******* buy it instead. Now I risk jumping into a match with someone who can kill me multiple times despite my higher skill level, simply because of bull**** perks and armor abilities. Not to mention that the lunge for the Plasma Sword STILL HAS YET TO BE NERFED. Let me know what you all think. Am I wrong here? Am I over-reacting? Am I neglecting to consider counters?
