  1. I hope the menus and lobbies look like Halo 2s. I hated them on Halo 4. That looks really good. I wouldnt mind if the lobbies looked like that also. It nice and clean.
  2. If I was the creative director at 343, my goal would be to give Halo 5 more of an identity. Something that pops out to gamers when they think of Halo 5 multiplayer. First, I would fire the lead multiplayer level designer of Halo 4. Then I would work on making the lighting more realistic looking for Halo 5. Halo 4 had a muddy, gold glowy lighting. It looked awful. I would have the Halo 2 type dedicated Big Team Battle maps like Waterworks, Containment and Coagulation be made. These types of maps have sadly gone the way of the doo doo bird and proximty voice chat. Cinematic battles: This is just screams next gen. Look at the new Rainbow Six: Seige trailer and what titanfall touched on. How about at the end of a game, you board a drop ship, it then flies you to the next match, also giving the players a break, and all while new people can join. My other idea was of having a game start on a large space craft. After the stage is complete, your team would then get on drop ships and fly down to a planet to meet the other team again. The match would then continue on a map on a planet. Of course regular Halo 2 and Halo 3 type maps are still present but this is anice change of pace. ----------- Just some ideas: Walking should be faster and more of a light run. I don't think Halo needs a dedicated run button. New added aiming feature that zooms area with no need to aim down sight. Kind of like the aiming for shotguns in bad company 2. Lense aiming would still work. Customization: I'd take this to a whole new level with atleast 10 different reload animation, hundreds of randomized armours, 10 kinds of melee hits.
  3. Custom games in matchmaking doesn't work. Look what they did with Zombies, they ruined it, and it wasn't as fun playing with strangers. How would you even enforce the rules on a lot of the cuatom games. It just wouldn't work.
  4. It just makes you shake your head as to why it was removed. It's part of the old Halo magic. Bring it back.
  5. The lighting looks a lot better than in Halo 4, but itwould look even better if the glowy contrast and color saturation were turned down. The scrawny short, thin chest spartans are another eye sore. They also look very plasticy
  6. It'll be cool seeing your first impressions of Halo 2's multiplayer since you've never played it.
  7. There's going to be one ranking system for all the games. The may have it seperated though.
  8. I played Halo 2 right up until the servers were shut down, and after not playing it for awhile, it was just as good as I remembered it. So it's not just nostalgia. The controls are super tight, maps are beyond reproach. 1080p and 60 fps are going to do wonders for the game. It's just an extremely fun game. I think the MCC as a whole will be very popular for awhile, unlike Halo 4.
  9. Saying that only way you could play Halo: CE online was on the PC version is wrong no matter how many ways you slice it. My friend used to do it through xbox connect, just like how wargod said he did it.
  10. We're just giving our opinions on the stuff we don't like, it's not complaining. To say we can't give criticism to our beloved Halo franchise, which is what we're doing, and to just eat everything little thing 343 does, is a joke. I don't really mind the art design changes because we're getting all of the unaltered H2 maps and multiplayer in 1080p also. Just little things annoy me like the sniper bloom, white vasoline armour regeneration sheilds, sniper sounds. Just a slap in the face to the H2 players and the whole point of honoring Halo 2 with the anniversary. If the bansee handles like the H4 version and not like in H2, the warthog and ghost are underpowered compared to H2, then I'll skip the "H2 reimagined through halo 5 glasses, 6 map monstrosities." This isn't suppost to be Halo 5 with H2 maps and guns.
  11. Man, that white vasoline look of the armour gives off when being hit, looks so bad. It's just an eye sore. It looks like white cream chunks of ice. Some light yellow static looks fine, but that just looks cartoony.
  12. Yeah, but I can see them doing those because of their popularity. My choices would have been Headlong, Waterworks and Gemini. I don't understand your logic, it's about the full experience. I like H2 more than H1, and I'd be annoyed if there was no Coagulation, simply because it's in Halo CE.
  13. The sniper does sound terrible, it really stood out. If they're gonna change it in the reimagined maps, then atleast make it sound good. Get over yourself if you think people expressing their opinions is whinning.
  14. Lockout, Zanzibar and Ascenion are already confirmed. I'd say Coagulation, Beaver Creek and Ivory Tower.
  15. My idea about having a game start in space on a giant ship, then if the defending team wins, the fight continues in a randomly picked world. This has nothing to do with Battlefield. The other team would spawn on the planet, while the other team gets into drop ships. It would be awesome flying down with your team. I want a more cinematic multiplayer.
  16. Cross game chat when you get close to the other team needs to be in the games, especially Halo 2. It's part of the magic of Halo. When you speak, it should also show your name on the screen.
  17. I can't wait to get my hands on the collection and replay my beloved maps and classic custom games. Playing different Halo games back to back is also going to be so fun.
  18. See that's the problem, "oh let's not do more players because battlefield does it." That's a very poor excuse because plenty of other games do it besides Battlefield. Halo should have more players. Look at Halo Wars and some of the parts in other Halo's campaigns. It would fit perfectly in the multiply with vehicals. There's no reason Halo 5 couldn't have 70 player count maps and 24 or 16 player ones too.
  19. I know that the 360's limited hareware couldn't handle larger player counts, but I doubt 343 will even take advantage of the XB1's power and design larger maps and player counts. If they keep Halo 5 at 16, it just shows they're content with their small corridor junk maps. You have to actual try to be creative with a new aproach on bigger map designs. . The nerf of the ghost and warthog still puzzles me as to why this isn't talked about. If it takes 4 seconds to kill a guy with the turret on a warthog, then something's wrong. If some of you are guys are honest with yourselves and looked at my posts, you'd release that I've put forth some of the best ideas on these forums.
  20. It's not Halo unless it has coagulation. The annoying yellow energy crap when when the armour gets hit needs to go. Why can't you have a huge playlist and add the classic mode for the original fans and for people that want that. That's pathetic to limit people's options. If this game only has a 16 player count max, I'm not getting it. Give us real Halo battles.
