  1. On the latest episode of Man At Arms, professional swordsmith Tony Swatton makes a real-life energy sword! It's actually pretty awesome...
  2. We played this in a custom lobby you were in a few weeks ago and I couldn't find the map after that! Now I can download it - thanks!
  3. Yeah, I kinda said that in my first post... don't know what the part you quoted has to do with Treyarch.
  4. Halo was just pure insanity! I'd say it's in my top 3 Halo missions of all time.
  5. Oh, you'll still be seeing a new one come this November! You won't be seeing a new game from Infinity Ward for another 3 years though... that's just as good, in my book I'm optimistic for the next game Treyarch puts out... Kinda weird because I preferred IW to 3arch up until the release of MW3.
  6. Wow, this is a really great montage, man! Great clips and nice editing. You just earned yourself a new subscriber
  7. Yeah, just shows Activision is bleeding Treyarch and IW dry... Don't know why the devs haven't taken the money and ran by now.
  8. Treyarch already does a lot of great stuff in the 2-year dev periods so I'm sure 3 years will make their games even better! IW on the other hand... or at least the new IW without Vince and Jason... has been goofing big time ever since they released MW3.
  9. Hey man, I don't have a clan (don't think I've had one since '09) but I'm down to play matchmaking on Halo 3!
  10. Hey dude, I'm far from MLG but I'm down to play some Social Slayer or something with you guys! I'll shoot you a message later if I'm on...
  11. According to recent reports, Activision has officially announced Sledgehammer Games will be working on games for the Call of Duty series! This means, from here on out, there will be 3 developers working on COD games - Infinity Ward, Treyarch, and Sledgehammer - and it also means these developers will have 3 years to work on their titles, instead of 2. The studio previously worked cooperatively with Infinity Ward on Modern Warfare 3 after the departure of Vince Zampalla and Jason West, but the game they are releasing in 2014 will be their first full-fledged Call of Duty title. Here's what Sledgehammer founders Michael Condrey and Glen Schofield had to say about the partnership: “Having the honor of developing the new, next-generation of Call of Duty is a developer’s dream come true. All of us here at Sledgehammer Games have a shared vision to create the best work of our lives. The next Call of Duty represents a new era for this amazing franchise, and we look forward to sharing what we have been working on. Today is just the beginning, there is so much more to come!” ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well, I'm pretty excited for this! Hopefully the 3-year development period will take some of the pressure off the devs. and we'll start seeing some really good Call of Duty games once again!!!
  12. Eh... I'm pretty annoyed they're treating it like a free iPhone game or something, charging us actual money to use special weapons like the Rocket Launcher. I'd be totally fine with that had the game been free but it wasn't free... It was $15!
  13. According to a recent article from IGN, World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition will launch globally next Wednesday, February 12th after being in Beta for months. Anyone with an Xbox Live Gold subscription will be able to download the game for free. This means that Xbox Live Gold members will be getting not two, but three games for free this month! The other two games being the February's Games With Gold - Dead Rising and Toy Soldiers.
  14. Title made me think you meant everyone, including console players, need Origin and I don't know the info for the account I liked my GT to when Battlefield 3 came out... You almost gave me a heart attack!
  15. Hey Adam, don't know if you've found what you're looking for yet but the Gateway laptop I have is pretty good and it looks like there's one on eBay buy it now for £171.44 with free shipping! Here's the link if you're interested: http://343i.org/1jr It'll do what you want it to and a little bit more.
  16. Wanted to know if any of you peeps play Halo 2 on Xlink Kai or Xbox Connect! If so, would anyone like to party up and play?! Here's my Skype: poopypants007
  17. Hahaha, yeah you guys have good servers! I was just playing on one late last week. Always a fun time You don't have to buy it, dude! It's free to download... Just download this (click red download button), download this patch (again, click red download button) and then install!
  18. This thing is and was a beast for sure. I'd love to see it make a return in the next game
  19. Yeah, extremely fake. Hoping nobody falls for this... 99.9% sure It's a total scam.
  20. Yeah, now that you mention that, I see it too and it most-likely is a photoshop job. I mean, they're doing a Titanfall controller for the XB1 already... maybe they thought of doing a full console and then just decided to make a controller instead? Hahahaha, same here man! I'm really looking forward to all of the new games coming out this year, especially if Halo 2: Anniversary is one of them!! That'll just be the icing on the cake.
  21. IGN recently reported on a Titanfall leak suggesting the game's beta for Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC will go live on February 14th and will run through February 19th. Here's an excerpt from the article, with all the important stuff highlighted: With the Titanfall beta on its way, more and more information of the title is beginning to leak through to the public, including the possible beta release date. French site Xboyxygen claims to have a retail source who is saying that the anticipated beta will run from February 14th through the 19th on the PC, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. With the official release slated for March 11th, this time span would make sense. Either way, it's obvious that more information will soon be revealed for interested beta testers, including when sign ups are available. Word of future Titanfall DLC has [also] begun to appear, confirming that EA is working on extra content for the shooter. EA boss Andrew Wilson made a statement about the appearance of future DLC, saying, "We're planning extra content already for the product, but in the nature of the live service, I think that will evolve over time as we see how the player base evolves through the year." However, no further details have been revealed. IGN also revealed the Xbox 360 version of Titanfall is actually being developed by Bluepoint Games, not Respawn Entertainment. Here's some background on the not-so-well-kown studio, courtesy of IGN: Bluepoint Games, the studio Respawn recruited to build Titanfall on Xbox 360, has quietly (and expertly) worked on superb games for some time. Some of them may already be in your collection. The Austin, Texas developer started up in 2006, founded by Andy O'Neil and Marco Thrush, two veterans of Metroid Prime and Retro Studios. Bluepoint released its first game, Blast Factor, that year, before becoming the industry's go-to studio for HD remakes and re-releases. Sony recruited Bluepoint for God of War Collection, Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale on Vita, and Flower on PS4 and Vita. Konami used Bluepoint for the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection as well. This is a studio whose strength is in porting games, and doing a fine job of it -- all of these collections feature improved visuals, frame rates, and other technical benefits that make them great. In hindsight, Bluepoint almost seems like the obvious choice for Titanfall on Xbox 360. Also of note: In July 2013, Bluepoint hired Kynan Pearson -- another ex-Retro designer who recently served as Halo 4's lead multiplayer level designer at 343 Industries. Pearson serves as creative director. Sounds like all of you guys who plan on getting Titanfall for the 360 are in good hands! Hopefully the beta release leak is accurate... I'm itching to play this thing already!!! IGN article #1 (Beta info) Xboxygen article (Leaked images) IGN article #2 (Bluepoint Games info)
  22. Earlier today Kotaku posted a story on a huge list of Xbox One-related leaks posted on NeoGAF late last night by someone using the handle "ntkrnl," who has been confirmed to be connected with Microsoft. Here's the article, with all of the interesting stuff highlighted: Plans for a disc-free Xbox One? Halo 5 in 2015? A Halo 2 remake this fall? A massive dump of rumors posted on NeoGAF last night hints at all that and more: a new Forza Horizon this fall; a game called Shangheist that was cancelled when the studio Black Tusk started development on a new Gears of War; a widespread white Xbox One launch later this year. This all comes from someone with the handle ntkrnl, who hasn't identified himself but has been posting details and tidbits about Microsoft's future plans for the past 24 hours. Some of the info is vague—like an alleged deal between Microsoft and the cloud processing company Cloudgine—while other snippets are more specific, like details about the upcoming Xbox One game Sunset Overdrive. Ntkrnl adds that Halo 2: Anniversary is scheduled for November 11 and Fable Legends will be out in the summer of 2015. So how valid is this stuff? Well, thanks to a reliable source, I've been able to confirm that ntkrnl is indeed connected to Microsoft, although I haven't been able to verify any of the poster's claims. Just because the leaker is in a position to know this information doesn't mean this information is true. (When I reached out this morning, Microsoft declined to comment.) But adding some veracity to ntkrnl's posts is The Verge's Tom Warren, who has a very good track record with Microsoft-related leaks and rumors. Warren says he's been able to verify a few of ntkrnl's claims, including the white Xbox One release and a major dashboard update scheduled for this March that will reportedly fix some of the system's big interface and party chat issues. Warren also says he confirmed Microsoft is testing out builds of the Xbox One without a disc drive—floated by ntkrnl—although neither knows whether that version of the console will actually make it to the market. On top of all that, according to one person familiar with the situation who spoke to me under condition of anonymity, Microsoft is currently trying to track down and identify ntkrnl. According to that person, Microsoft executives are looking to take legal action against ntkrnl, which, again, doesn't mean that everything he says is true. Ntkrnl also posted a mock-up of what appears to be a Titanfall-themed Xbox One bundle: Two industry sources have told me that this bundle is real, although the image is not 100% accurate. UPDATE (5:37pm): It's worth noting that just because the bundle is real doesn't mean it will make its way to store shelves. Frequent NeoGAFfer Pete Dodd, who has been correct about some gaming rumors in the past, says he heard the bundle was cancelled. So, what'cha think guys? I really hope that Halo 2: Anniversary release date is legit! It's also worth noting that Edward Kenway has already posted about ntkrnl's white console / XBL update leaks - check it out! 23. I have no idea how this happened but it looks hilarious!
  24. I'm sure it'll run fine! They may have to tone down certain things in the game like DICE did with Battlefield 4 on the 360 and PS3, but I don't think you'll have any problems other than some framrate issues...
  25. With the arrival of the new Onslaught map pack, it looks like Infinity Ward has brought Gun Game back in Call of Duty: Ghosts, along with a new free-for-all version of Hunted! For those who aren't in the know, here's a little background on Gun Game, courtesy of Call of Duty Elite: "Each player starts with the same basic pistol. Every time you kill an enemy with your gun, you're upgraded to the next weapon. Anyone killed with a melee attack is demoted to the previous weapon, so watch your flank. Suicides also set you back to the previous tier, most often occurring when using explosive weapons. The match ends when someone cycles through all twenty weapons. Success in Gun Game requires aggressive tactics and familiarity with each weapon in the rotation. Don't worry about dying - just go for a lot of successive kills. " I'm excited to give the newly returned playlist a go! I'm not too into Ghosts so far. It's probably my least favorite Call of Duty game of all time, and I've been playing since CoD 4 was in its prime... Maybe Gun Game is exactly what I need to bring the fun back into this game.
