  1. Full Name: Frederik Kaiser Occupation: Spartan-IV Armour Appearance: Hazop helmet, standard armour otherwise; black armour, violet visor Facial Appearance: blue eyes, assorted nicks and cuts Weaponry of Choice: Active Camo or Hologram; explosive weapons Backstory: Frederik was 15 when the Battle of Reach took place. While he made it on a civilian evac ship, he often thinks the UNSC failed to protect his parents from being killed at the hands of Covies. Since then, he's had a score to settle... both halves of him (there's more to his past, but to reveal it here would be a big spoiler). In his spare time, he often fiddled with electronics, dismantling them and reassembling them to figure out how they tick. He tried this once with an Armour Ability to try and soup it up; it short-circuited. He also tinkered with Covenant electronics, learning how to infiltrate their battle network and how to open doors.
  2. A lot of people tend to bash Marines and say they're useless. If they're at the wheel of a vehicle, yes. But give them heavy weapons, then they're your best friends... most of the time. I'm the type of player that likes allies and does not kill them for the lulz, since they're good distractions... and can dish out some damage every once in a while. While on my Legendary run of Halo 3, I gave as many Marines a Fuel Rod Gun as possible on Tsavo Highway. Not only are they more durable than the Chief in many cases, they are ridiculously overpowered with their bottomless clips. So I wind up with a horde of burly Marines pelting aliens with radioactive explosives who cannot run out of ammo. The Brutes at the bottom of the hill cannot return fire, as they're too busy diving out of the way of the fuel rods. Not only that, when I do manage to kill all the Brutes, the Marines wreck the incoming Phantoms! And that not only made the reinforcements stuck at the bottom, but it produced some glitch Brutes which could not attack me because they were not meant to not operate the side turrets. So I can jump on them, bump into them, bash them, and all they do is grunt and growl repeatedly. When Reach came around, I expected the Marines to be buff death machines as well... that was not the case. While they dished out a decent amount of damage, they ended up killing themselves more often than damaging foes or just missing targets altogether. I gave up hope in Halo 4 when they spent more time shooting corpses than shooting at live targets and died after three or four shots. So word of advice to those who still haven't done their Legendary runs of Halo 3 and ODST, or just like to play Legendary on those games: give your Marines some goodies, and they shall do good things. Don't rely on them in Reach and Halo 4, though.
  3. Completing it offline will earn achievements. Online will get you everything, from achievements to armour to commendations. Now you must man up and play through Legendary again!

    The Marine Queen

From the album: Maestro's Miscellaneous Mayhem

The very first optional superboss in the game, she hits hard and fast. She only has 10,000 HP though, so it is possible to defeat her if you come prepared. Her trusty diamond floating above her head is able to strengthen and heal her, and has an extremely high defense. She can also OHKO your entire team if you're unlucky; otherwise, she will try to use Time Fissure to send one person on your team outside of spacetime, simply punch out a party member's lights, or seduce a teammate and get them to do her dirty work. The Marine Queen is the only enemy in the entire game that will not give you a game over if you are defeated. Instead, she says "I win <3" and sends you on your merry way.

Sudholm was a bustling town in its day... was. This building never got finished before a tsunami swept through.

More talkin' crabs. This one used to say something far more negative, but said speech didn't fit in with what the other crabs say.

    Under the Sea

From the album: Maestro's Miscellaneous Mayhem

I realized that I didn't have any screenshots from the first chapter of Tangents! So here are seven all from chapter one... and from the same area... :/ So towards the end of chapter one, you find an item in the chapter dungeon, Bechelheim Bastion, called a Breathing Apparatus. With it, you can go underwater. There's a town, or what remains of one, called Sudholm. You can find a path leading underwater, and you can explore Submerged Sudholm...

    The Subzero Script

From the album: Maestro's Miscellaneous Mayhem

Peter is a pottymouth who breaks the fourth wall when talking about the Subzero Script. Basically it's hypothermia. You stand around too long outside not consuming potions or wearing toques, and your characters will die one-by-one. You lose 5 HP per second, so time is of the essence!

    Wait, what?

From the album: Maestro's Miscellaneous Mayhem

This is actually a reference to a character in one of my brother's games made a decade ago. While he may bury his face in shame whenever I mention it to him now, it's still a cool little throwback nonetheless. This graveyard is full of throwbacks to my brothers' games and one of my very first games ever made.

    Temporary Warmth

From the album: Maestro's Miscellaneous Mayhem

If you do not have toques, you can fend off hypothermia (or the Subzero Script) by feeding your characters some potions. A regular potion can buy you a minute of life in the snow.

    Feels like Christmas

From the album: Maestro's Miscellaneous Mayhem

Tonare's such a pretty little town. I was lucky enough to have the Weather Dominator grant me with some light flurries.

    Toasty Warm

From the album: Maestro's Miscellaneous Mayhem

This NPC tells you about the one permanent solution to the Subzero Script: wearing a toque. The Stromman toque is capable of fending off the cold, even if you wear next to nothing! But the shop in Tonare is all sold out of toques. Go figure.
