Gears of War 3 Horde Command Pack DLC
Spectral Jester replied to Spectral Jester's topic in General Discussion
me too Gears is awesome, glad that 3 takes the tried and trusted Gears 2 and improves on it -
By now, most of you Gears of War 3 die-hards out there will have hooked up your Season Pass for the upcoming DLC at 2400 Microsoft Points, which means you can kick back and simply wait until next month. That's when the first batch of Gears of War 3 DLC will be dropping. Adding three new Horde maps, the Horde Command Pack also includes new fortification upgrades and new characters, making it a worthwhile addition to the Horde 2.0 mayhem, as well as adding 250 Gamerscore of new achievements to unlock. Here's the complete list of Horde Command Pack contents: Three new maps: Blood Drive – The Jacinto Medical Plaza was overwhelmed by evacuated citizens after the government-sanctioned Hammer Strikes, and the ensuing riots quickly turned this safe haven into a dangerous inferno. An abundance of high ground and funneled choke points make this map a returning favourite to Horde. Rustlung – Once the pride of the Royal Tyran Navy, the foredecks of this decommissioned battleship are now riddled with bullet holes. Any team with the fortitude to hold the exposed central torpedo bay will find that the ship’s Loader has been replaced with a battle-ready Silverback mech suit. Azura – This island resort was once the exclusive domain of Sera’s educated elite, but the tranquil water gardens and lush foliage have become a hotly contested combat zone. Dual snipers overlook a powerful explosive weapon, while the defensive central platform may be your last resort of retreat. New fortification upgrades: Command Center – A brand new type of fortification that allows you to call in fire support from sniper teams, mortar strikes and even multiple Hammers of Dawn. Decoy Upgrade – A new fortification level that turns your decoy into an Onyx Guard bot that will fight in your defense. Sentry Upgrade – This upgrade adds a fire bolt sentry that deals much more damage and is very effective against Berserkers. Silverback Upgrade – This advancement allows you to upgrade your Silverback exo-suit with devastating rockets and extra levels of repair cost reduction. New characters: Onyx Guard Big Rig Dizzy Bernie New weapon skins: Team Plasma Jungle Camo This is also playable in Beast Mode and private Versus matches, which means the Gears of War 3 Horde Command Pack is a snip at 800 Microsoft Points or at a 33% discount as part of a Season Pass purchase. You'll be able to grab it from November 1st. Check out four new screens from the add-on right here. NEW CHARACTERS RUSTLUNG BLOOD DRIVE AZURA

DICE has released a list of the changes it’s making to Battlefield 3 as a result of feedback on the beta. The list of changes can be found over at the Battlefield blog. •Fixed occasional client crash when reviving. •Fixed killcam showing glitched area under map if your killer is dead. •Issue with spawning on dead squad mates fixed. •Fixed a bug where shooting at a moving enemy could cause more than the intended amount of damage. •Crosshairs for shotguns have been replaced with a new, thinner, art. •A subtle low health screen effect has been added. •Tweaked scores of Medals and Service Stars. •Tweaked the Rank progression. •Pushing prone on console will not play the animation twice. •Fixed loss of Squad Leader after EOR at some times. •Framerate stability fixes. •The 3D spotting icons has been tweaked to better match the target’s visibility. Icons will show frequently less on mostly obscured targets. •Fixed issue with crosshair disappearing after round transition. •Fixed issue with crosshair disappearing after trying to deploy while the countdown timer still active. •Squad list now shows specializations chosen, VOIP activity and dead squad mates. •Non working options in squad menu fixed: “Private” flag and “Switch Teams”.

Gears of War 3 easter Eggs CluckShot A Boom shot that fires exploding Chickens . 1. To start off, you’re going to need to play through Act 4 Chapter 1 on Insane. So this means you either have to beat the game once already, or you’ll need to play coop with someone who has beaten the game once. 2. Go through Act 1 without touching any of the ash bodies. Doing so will get you the secret “Respect For the Dead” Achievement once you arrive at Griffin’s Hideout and enter his secret weapon stash. More importantly though, it will give you access to this little chicken to the right with a pirate hat. Press X to interact with the chicken to cause it to explode, as if to officially kick off our easter egg hunt. 3. Now, play through Act 4 Chapter 2 like normal. Just make sure that you find two special ammo boxes that fall off a cliff as you approach them. The first one can be found at the start of the act on top of a car. The second can be found at the end of a railroad track in the underground section where you’re attacked by Polyps. 4. Now continue playing as normal until you reach Act 4 Chapter 3. After you head past the lift and go through the barbed wire, you’ll come to a fight with a bunch of Formers. Make sure to take them all out and then look for a stack of objects with another ammo box on top. Kick the stack to cause the ammo box to fall. Wait for a second and you’ll spot your “air support.” One specially made Cluckshot for every member of your party! Mad World played during Gridlock (multiplayer) To do this is simple, play a match with at least 2 round wins required to finish a match and go a whole round without destroying any of the "ash people" within the multiplayer map. (This includes everyone playing, not just you, noboby can destroy a ash person) The next round, a instramental piano version of "Mad World" will play for about 1 minute at the beginning of the round. Enjoy the music!

Dashboard Update coming 15th November
Spectral Jester replied to Spectral Jester's topic in General Discussion
its actually already on, you can link paypal to your gamertag on xbox.com, so pay for stuff via paypal ie. buying MSP off of the dashboard. -
An internal PayPal email suggests that the new Xbox 360 dashboard will roll out on Novemeber 15th, exactly 10 years after the release of the original Xbox. The information comes from an email distributed to PayPal employees encouraging them to test the service in the run up to a 15th Nov release. It was previously announced that PayPal would be coming to XBL as an alternative payment method, so it makes sense that the dashboard update will be hitting then too. November is traditionally the month that Microsoft release their big dashboard redesigns. They did the same in 2008 and 2010, taking the operating system from its creaky old “Blades” iteration to what we have now. information courtesy of kotaku
