  1. Sad but true. Once AD left, I believe that made the oldest actual active member of the forums.
  2. Seeing as how we are a "fan forum" dedicated to the franchise and it's subsequent developer, I can completely understand why our polls stay strictly Halo related. That being said, this site is not just home to Halo fans, but fans of video games no matter what sustem or publisher they are. I can totally get behind mixing up the polls to reflect a more diverse question base to honor the unique group of members we contain on the site. That also being said, I would like to see the poll questions take a more in depth turn. A lot of the questions seem repetitive and sometimes are the same previous questions, just reworded to put a different spin on them in terms of results. I want future poll questions require more than a single sentence and spur a true intellectual answer pool.
  3. I love it when ignorance is in pure abundance! Let's correct this.... 1. You CANNOT SUE FOR FALSE ADVERTISING, and you will NOT win. When you buy a console/game or other "multimedia" product that uses internet based gameplay, you also accept the conditions and policies that go with it. I guess no-one in Sweden or the rest of the world is familiar with EULA and Acceptance Agreements. <----- This is the ignorance part. 2. No matter where you are in the world, there will be high latency/ping/throttling/etc... WiFi makes things much much worse than using a Cat5 or Cat6 hard cabling. 3. Halo 5 is NOT hosted on single servers ANYWHERE! All Xbox Live enabled games are powered using the Azure Cloud Platform. This literally means that the game is hosted worldwide. 4. Even if region locking were a feature that was enabled, you would be greatly limiting the population pool in which you have to play with. Halo' s population is already divided and segregated beyond belief due to MCC and 360 backwards compatibility. Region locking also does NOT guarantee a more fluid gaming experience. For example, I could hop on now from the East Coast US and play someone a mere 1k miles away and get an average 90-250 ping. If you had done any research on how networking works, you would know how many variables and environments are involved. Nothing is ever guaranteed nor simplistic in fixing or improving. Also real quick, you do realize that Microsoft is an AMERICAN company right? Even if the issue "was" having servers only in America, that is their choice and YOUR decision to NOT to do research.
  4. This is part of the problem in gaming with the past 2 generations of gamers. EVERY gamer thinks he/she is so very special and deserving of direct replies. Do you really think 343i has nothing better to do than cruise the forums and reply to every ranting kid/child/man-child who cannot construct their problem in a reasonable polite manner? Seriously, have you ever actually read through some of the ways and language used to describe the problems found in the games? If I were a developer I wouldn't answer 99% of the gamers either. And on a side note, had you even remotely put a little effort into anything you did or posted, which is obviously the opposite of what you did in reference to researching how to contact 343i, you would have realized after maybe 10 seconds, THAT WE ARE NOT THE DEVELOPER!
  5. Framors leiks carrits......1/10 Eat more corn. Besten Scrang: 200% Has his own Yu-Go-Girl card: Purple Cat Hats So glasses, much hair: Power Level 5,000!!!!
  6. 11/10 Solid Eevee love 1,000,000/10 Im biased, Mel is my main Boo
  7. Not sure what I was cookin in that pic. It was either a variant of Tuscan Pasta with from scratch sauce, or it could have been Basmati Rice with a sesame/ginger/soy chicken.
  8. Me not so happy at work. The life of a great chef...
  9. First, we are not 343 Industries. Second, since Halo 3, CoD has been the most popular FPS and hasn't been knocked off it's throne since. Third, CoD is going to finally have a modding kit released for it for PC. Yes that's only on PC, but it has yet to be revealed if or not maps made with the CoDEK will be playable on consoles. If so, expect Halo to die even further. I'm not defending the coarse 343 took with the franchise, but at this late age in FPS genre space, Halo is a slowly dying brand anyway. Sad but true.
  10. Sorry brah, but we are not 343, we are a simple fan forum. HaloWayPoint.com is their official site. Even if you post there, there is 0% chance they will contact you directly or evwn respond to your posts. In an unrelated issue just to showcase Microsoft, MGS and 343i's hatred and utter stupidity when it comes to ANYTHING Halo 2 related....... Halo 2 Vista has been offline for over 3 months now, and after constant posting and calls to support we still have 0 response to anything. We know what the peoblem is, we know how to fix it. Your problem is the same base problem we have. That problem is 343's complete refusal to properly support ANY pre 343 Industries content or work. From one Halo 2 4-Ever guy to another....GOOD LUCK MATE!
  11. Regarding spawns, I surmize that 343i attempted to combat spawn camping with the tweaks they made. Sadly though, it appears that the multiplayer leads know absolutely NOTHING about the in depth spawn system and simply assume that creating more spawns or limiting spawns to stupid locations will fix the problem. RSR don't EVER apologize for bringing up the microtrans req system. I did the same thing as soon as req was released to the public. To add onto that, free or not, the DLC quality should NEVER suffer. By all logic and realistic development standards, making the content free should push the team to actually create bwtter content. If your free stuff is crap and your paid stuff is still crap, how do you expect to gain any faith from the player base? They really need to showcase what type of quality they can produce on a free for everyone basis, before even thinking about charging a single cent for it going forward into Halo 6. Aside from the map issues, I think their time would better served going through the horrid netcoding and server side issues that still many players world wide are experiencing. Similar to MMC, I'm afraid 343i will decide to simply power through any real support for the game and focus on pumping out the next one as quickly as possible. Here is a quick novel idea for 343i to do.... 1. Focus on multiplayer first and foremost and make Halo feel like Halo again. 2. Completely dump Forge and create a brand new 12 set of simple yet unique maps. 3. Treat campaign like Spartan Ops. Release and support a massive campaign by adding actual quality story and level design, and release it in parts. Say something like 4 campaign missions a month for 6 months. Campaign in the last 2 titles has both felt rushed and designed equally as rushed. I believe that releasing missions slowly allows more team members to work longer and focus more on driving quality experiences, rather than rushing through it all and leaving huge plot holes and minimal play time.
  12. THIS is exactly why the map qualiy has declined so bad after Halo 3. Forge may be a nifty feature for casual/crappy map updates to add new elements, but it has also made developers very lazy. Historically, Halo 1-3 had the single most ORIGINAL and best multiplayer maps. Adding more community failures to the already abysmal amount of bad developer maps is not going to help. In all seriousness, how many people really thought free DLC Content would actually be quality content? I say it's time to stop drinking the Kool-Ade and hold 343 and other developers to a higher standard.
  13. ^^ We are a fan site, this has nothing to do with ANY official playlist for ANY Halo game. As if ANY developer would publically announce a plan or host discussion about playlist changes...lmao
  14. ^^ I'de say atleast 2.5 since elder should clearly be either original member or here as about half as long as the site has been opened. Of coarse since there are not that many true ancients around anymore, my self included....maybe say 2 years at minimum for Elder status? BTw....been some time girly, how yah been?
  15. I think the better poll question should be "Is custimization over-focus killing Halo in general?". The custom armor configurations and abilities to execute it have gotten too lengthy, repedative and boring. Reach had the correct blend of custimization and Halo 4 took it too far and futuristic even by Halo Universe standards. To sum up my opinion on the matter... 1. Custimization should NEVER be a sole replay or core playing feature to entice players to play. 2. Custimization and or aquiring of any flair material HAS NO PLACE in a game such as Halo, and is anti-consumer. 3. Custimization should reflect, contain and otherwise encompass the roots of Halo as well as the future. (Spartans should be able to look like they use to in all areas if desired.) 4. Whenever custimization is clearly more developed, planned and execited than actual time spent on story, gameplay and actual real content.....there is a HUGE PROBLEM!
  16. We are not 343 Industries. Throw you spaztastic bad language and grammar rant at Halowaypoiny, their official site. Honestly, did you even bother reading any of the Google searches or just blindly clicked in your rage?
  17. Damn shame I missed this way back when. On this site in particular as well as halomods, halomaps and a few others, I think I'm the only Philly suburb member lol. I've been looking for a reason to get back into gaming and this might be it. Right now my only activity is adminning halo2vista.com and leading a halo 2 map team as well as coding and asset creation.
  18. Had you even remotely did any research instead of Goofling and instant clicking....you would realize that we ARE NOT affiliated with 343 Industries or Microsoft and are simply a Halo fan forum. Put a little more effort into doing something in the future. You need to ask direct questions at the Halowaypoint.com which is their website. Thanks fir stopping by and good luck!
  19. All modern p2p and cloud based server technology usually require an open NAT. Reason being is that with the advancements in gaming comes a heavier load packet and routing wise. Unless you can find a way around NAT, you will experience issues no matter games you play. Also on a side note, wireless sucks for gaming period. No serious self respecting gaming uses wireless connections for his/her console/pc. Ok n another side note, we are not in any way affiliated with 343 or Microsoft. We are a franchise fan site.
  20. Dang! Both RSR and Azzy became TL;DR masterz! I'm such a proud Pappa lol Could NOT agree more with everything they listed and it is all too painfully obvious that 343 tried to emulate the campaign success of Halo 2 and the modern fps of well known games and failed. As for the corporate culture aspecr, I knew they were trash ever since Kiki posted more pics of alcohol romps at the office, rather than discuss seriois developer happenings over Twitter. From my standpoint there seems to be quite an ego and overconfidence problem with the team. To the extent in which the double speak and vague press leads an intelligent person to conclude that the team leads actually have no idea how to properly nurture a team or effectively lead it in a positive way. I don't know if it's the 'I love Halo and worked for Bungie" aspect that they mostly have, or it's specifically the team leads. One thing is for sure, the developers need to be reevaluated and there needs to be a management change. No time like now to do some house cleaning. I can honestly say that if Halo 6 doesn't live up to expectations, that Halo will become the IP of the past and it will fade away into obscurity.
  21. We have no affiliation with 343 or Microsoft. If you want a serious result from a post, make the post at 343's official home at Halowaypoint.com
  22. When one claims emblem color may be a reason for suicide of a game breaking quirk....i t's hard to take that person seriously. If you have tried everything already as suggested above, then it's just not gonna work. May I suggest you use a different emblem or find another style that suits your taste?
  23. Not sure where you jave been since launch, but H5 is ANYTHING but a success and is riddled with issues and bugs that ARE major. Anyway, the following is a short list that I believe needs to be contained within H6 to win back the fanbase and provide more replay value and stability... 1- Splitscreen and LAN support 2- Do away with "leet" testers and actually listen to the intelligent veterans of the franchise. 3- Remove Forge maps as a "multiplayer map" collection. On that note, forge created variants and or Forge itself is boring and shows lack of map creativity on the developers behalf. 4- Return to Halo CE - Halo 3 multiplayer gameplay. 5- Completely re-write the engine from scratch starting with CE Blam! version code source like they did with Halo 3 to improve stability and cleanup the myriad of tag dependencies that are not helpful nor efficient in post processing and memory management. 6- Bring back Firefight!!! It's easily hands down the most MISSED gamemode. 7- Reduce the amount of flair and general custimization options and create a new improved and less gimmicky way of extending replay value. 8- On the same lines of replay.....make the AI more intelligent and comparable to the AI handling and difficulty seen most noticable in Halo 2. 9- Fire the team in charge of storyboarding!!! 10- Actually make any firther Halo games, actually deserving of the Halo name.
