My views on this topic are well known by now by many on these forums thus I wont repeat them here. I just have one thing to say however... Halo CE.. no ranking system. By far (in my eyes) the most competitive Halo MP game to date... Ranking systems do not mean competition. Also on that note, if people are saying that a ranking system is the core of Halo then they miss the entire purpose of the game... which is sad to me.

I voted for the magnum simply because it depends on the map for SWAT. Closer in maps or ones with more obsticals mean more than likely I would take the BR for its bullet spread. For more open maps I definately take the DMR.

Ok first off, people who paid for the LE are entitled to the early access. It is part of what they are paying for. As for playing up to the 20th of that month that was just a bonus for other people. They do plan on releasing all of the specializations to everybody at some point. I would guess that in the big January update they will release them. If not then sometime in the near future. All that has happend so far is early access, thats it. I paid to have early access, not my fault you or anybody else didnt. They will be released eventually. Secondly, people stop playing the game for any number of reasons. It is not always because of a "level cap". Also I am not sure if you realize this or not (not trying to be rude) but there always will be a level cap. You will eventually reach a point where you just cant go any higher. Every game has it (until you break the game itself), be it at lvl 70 or 7000. My point in the end is, if all your playing for is the SR rank then your missing the point of the game itself. Take a step back and reexamine the priorities you have on the game (not singling you out but a general comment for everybody). Games are ment to be entertainment first and fore most.

Umm everybody has different mentalities even with seperate lists... Everybodies priority is to make the game best for themselves so it doesnt improve or encourage teamwork. Its just a digital number that you can see. People will play the game any way they want, within the confines of the games mechanics of course. A ranked list wont change that...

That truce still exists. The Covenant as a whole is still allied with the UNSC though it is stressed to say the least. The forces you encounter in Halo 4 are a splinter group of the Covenant which still believe in their old doctrine of the Forerunners being gods and that they will ascend to godhood themselves through Forerunner technology. They are not actually with the rest of the Covenant, instead they oppose both the UNSC and the Covenant which is why they are a splinter group.

I would rather have the SkyHawk than the Hornet or Falcon...

I just want to know OP if you realize Halo CE had no ranking system until the Anniversary edition came out (I think it had one in there, didnt play it though)... A ranking system does not mean more skillful playing. It just means more e-peen wars for most people with visible ranking systems. In all honesty you can find skilled gameplay in any playlist, but it is up to you to enjoy it. Nobody can force you to. Now then, I am not knocking your opinion, as clearly you are entitled to it. But as was said previously they do have a ranking system in the game that pairs you with people around your own skill level. You just do not see it.

I enjoy getting the 100% on my games but for the most part I choose not to. Mostly because I rarely do MP (have only really done ME3 and H4 online) so I skip out on many achievements.

Having a military like ours is a privilage. If we didnt have one then where would our country be in the first place? The nation was born out of fire and blood spilt on behalf of others who either couldnt or shouldnt fight. You should feel no shame in wearing the uniform. No service man should ever feel that way. All I think you should feel is pride. You put forth more than most anybody in this country to keep us going. I would serve if I could however I am medically unable to enlist (already tried). As for the guy who you ran into, well everybody is entitled to their own opinions... however he never should have blown up at you or your friends in public like that. I dont agree with his opinion but you should remind yourself that its because of people like you that enable him to have the freedom to have his own opinions.

Unfortunately there will always be griefers. There is nothing 343i can do about it. Even with a booting system they will still grief. Its how they decide to play their game.

Meh, I dont particularly care if they update anything. I just play to hang out.
