  1. Really Video removed for to much swearing on a site that discusses a Mature rated 1st person shooter game series... I didn't say Halo receiving the "Call of Duty Treatment" is a bad thing, and who's complaining, I think it's nice for 343i to adopt a Herb Mentality and make halo more like Call of Duty like all other game developers are doing,... This site is about an M rated game which involves swearing, you don't like swearing don't watch the video...
  2. Halo 4 is expected to be released November 6th and has been provided the "Call of Duty Treatment" by 343i. This video published by YouTube user "VeryTraumatic" briefly explains the "Call of Duty Treatment", how Halo 4 has been given the "Call of Duty Treatment", and how this will effect the 1st Person Shooter genre. The "Call of Duty Treatment" is real and this is happening to Halo 4, the contents of this video have been known to cause people to experience feelings of anger and despair after watching so Viewer Discretion is Advised. Here's a link to the video: < http://www.youtube.c...yer_detailpage" Few other "Call of Duty Treatment" characteristics not mentioned in this video are: Custom Loadouts ( destroys game balance), Ordinance Drop ( Care Packages), Sprint Button, No Firefight, No Elites in Multiplayer, No Invasion, etc
  3. The importance of Grammar and Spell Check should be a Topic.
  4. Everyone ignores the plasma pistol until they see a tank, suddenly getting the plasma pistol becomes the number one priority. Where was the love when the tank wasn't there huh???
  5. Rank means nothing, it's true skill that counts. But Halo Reach has the hidden true skill system, so no one will ever know how good they really are. My True Skill in Halo 3 was "42" My rank in Halo Reach means nothing to me ( It's just a second emblem)

  7. EMP grenade isn't such a bad thing, as long as people can't spawn with them and their limited on maps it'll be just like the Halo 3 power drain. If they can be obtained like plasma and frag grenades then they'll create a problem.
  8. Most of you are just making assumptions and bickering... please continue. http://i.imgur.com/tCp90.gif
  9. In Halo 3 you earned exp for a win, and you only got one exp point. Halo Reach works on a hidden true skill system. In Halo 3 you didn't earn more true skill for winning, the true skill system would take into account every player in the games: true skill, games won, and games lost, and deem if these players were better then you or not, and then decide whether you went up or down in true skill depending on if you won or lost to better or worse players. If you were versing opponents that the game felt you should beat, but you lost, then your true skill went down If you were versing opponents that the game felt you should lose against, and you lost, then your true skill probably wouldn't change If you were versing opponents that the game felt you should lose against, but you won, then your true skill would go up And if you were versing opponents that the game felt you should win against, and you won, it probably would change The game also took into account the team you were playing with This true skill system was developed by Microsoft ( Lone Wolf was a little more complicated, but had a similar system)
  10. Just because someone doesn't want to accept the changes doesn't mean their not a true Halo fan. If someone's played a current or previous game in the series, read the Halo Novels, or watched videos on waypoint and they love what Halo has to offer then they are a fan. If you don't like Halo 4 that means your not a fan of Halo 4, you can still be a true fan of the series though. ( I'm not a True Halo fan you say, well your not a True Nord!)
  11. A game needs constructive criticism to get better. When people ( as you say) complain, it's because they care about the game. Someone who's played through the Halo series or has come to love the game can't just go buy a different game, there's no other game like it.
  12. I quote, P-1609 - "There is nothing you can't do" ( lmao) I don't want to go back to the Ordinance Drop Thread again, but I must say it was more based on how it will unbalance Halo and is similar to care packages, and etc. Not just skilled first versus less skilled, and I was repeatedly asked the same questions ( people didn't read the previous answers). I too found some of ShadyBliss's concerns to be a bit silly, but I felt he still should not have been flammed like he was before for his post. ( It's discussions like these ( until P-1609 got involved) that make the forums an informative place)
  13. I'm not speaking on behalf of the people bashing the game saying "The game will flat out fail", I'm speaking for the people trying to voice their concerns and opinions with orderly manner that are getting flammed by this community. I think part of the problem is the people in this community feel 343i is getting attacked and feel it's there responsibility to defend 343i, 343i has listened to this community a lot ( "sigh") and it's an okay thing the community wants to protect 343i, but flamming people like ShadyBliss that are just stating their opinion isn't right. I recently posted a topic on Ordinance Drop and got quadruple teamed, it was a polite debate until some realized I wasn't changing my opinion and started trying to insult me to the point that a moderator had to step in ( I was only stating an opinion). It turned from an informative debate into a persuasive one fast, instead of letting people come to their own conclusions about ideas, the community tends to get frustrated and try to force their view on others ( I still think Ordinance Drop is a bad idea). Saying "wait until you've played it" is not a valid argument, games have been taken back to be reviewed and changed within months of being released numerous times ( Mass Effect 3, Crysis, Duke Nukem Forever).
  14. ( These forums need grammar check, lol, I always read my posts before I send them, but that's beside the point) People need to see that that saying "don't complain until you've played it" doesn't work. If people didn't voice their concerns before something happened where would this world be. The US Congress wouldn't say they'll accept changing Americas current currency from the Dollar to Euros just because they haven't tried it, that's silly, they'd be against the idea because they don't think it's a good idea. Congress wouldn't wait for Americas economy to fail after doing it, then what they'd say "Oh well we didn't like it but at least we tried it first". Video Game companies ( like 343i) need people to voice their concerns about something before they release it, because while it's still in development they have the chance to change the game. Once a bad game has been released it's hard to undo the damage that has been done, fans will leave, and if they manage to salvage some money for a sequel, people will be to cautious to buy the game. No one wants to see their favorite video game series fail, and that's why they voice their concerns before it's released, not because they hate 343i, but because they love the video game series Halo.
  15. Things Call of Duty has: Instant Respawn, customizable loadouts, random weapon drops ( care packages) Things Halo 4 will have: Instant Respawn, customizable loadouts, random weapon drops (ordinance drops) ( I won't count sprinting) Traits about Call of Duty multiplayer: Game is unbalanced due to higher ranked player having better equipment when starting a game Traits about Halo games multiplayer (Reach-Halo CE): Game is balanced since everyone spawns with the same loadouts or starting weapons Traits about Halo 4 multiplayer: Game will be unbalanced due to higher ranked players having better loadouts when starting a game Call of Duty doesn't change much, but that doesn't mean Halo needs to adopt their ideas. Halo is Halo because it is a balanced game giving everyone a fair shot.

  17. I think the people that hate the bloom hate it because they can't DMR spam from across the map to scavenge kills without pacing their shots.
  18. When did I say I'm judging a game. I'm Just stating an opinion. Someone told me a new call of duty might be coming out Nov 6th, I thought everyone knew...
  19. Locking My Doors, Shutting the windows, might even pray Could be a new Halo release or new Call of Duty...
  20. Every Halo Game has had bloom in it, and it's to protect people from DMR and Battle rifle spammers, the DMR and battle rifle already have a hardcore aim assist. 343i listened to the forums complaining about bloom ( something Bungie didn't do, thank you Bungie), and created the TU ( to see if bloom should be removed or not). 343i then made us vote on TU or vanilla team slayer by choosing which we want to play in the Team Slayer Playlist. Eventually during the voting 343i made the TU choice appear up top ( first instead of third nearby none of the above) most likely because TU was not being picked. Once the voting was done 343i did not release the results, instead they said that many people in the community wanted to play both games ( "sigh"). So TU was given it's own playlist called super slayer ( reduced bloom), and there was a playlist called Zero Bloom but it was removed ( for being one of the least played playlists). Why 343i didn't release the results I don't know ( most likely because TU lost), but after seeing the results of a zero bloom playlist 343i probably decided it's best to keep bloom ( thank you 343i).
