Things I would like to see in Campaign

What I would like to see in the Campaign is the following:

A Mention of The Flood

The flood was pivotal in Halo CE, Halo 2, and Halo 3 so a mention of what's going on with the flood would be nice. There are several other Halo installations where the flood still exist (in dormant states), so it would be nice to have a little easter egg showing a status report on the flood or something.

Hidden Skulls

Skulls in Halo 2 and 3 had to be found to be activated. This lead to awesome quests to find and collect the skulls within the campaign. Which made the campaign a bit more fun. In addition to this, I'd also like to see the return of the Bandanna skull. There should also be a thing that makes challenges/achievements unlockable while this skull is active (because it's a cheat).

Mention of Blue Team (or whatever they are called now)

Blue Team has a long history of not being talked about in-game. This can easily be an awesome easter egg or they can actually be characters in the game. This would make canon-lovers have wet dreams about the H5 campaign.

A Distinct Lack of Quick Time Events

Quick Time events would be cool, in theory. In practice, not so much. The quick time events in Halo 4 were kind of laughable, and turned what could have been an epic boss battle into an eyebrow raising disappointment for me. That being said, more interactivity with the environment would be awesome, but quick time events are generally annoying in FPS games if they aren't done near-perfectly.

More Interactivity with the Environment

This is more of a wishful thinking kind of thing, but I always get a kick out of being able to flush toilets and stuff. Completely unnecessary? Yes. Kind of cool? Also yes. FPS + RPG = amazing, every time.

Anyways, that's what I would like to see. What about you?

I actually have to agree with all these points to be honest. I would love to be able to be aboard the UNSC Infinity and explore it at will and walk into a bathroom only to find a flushable toilet. That is my dream for Halo 5

Remember when they had "easter eggs" to look out for in H3. Yeah, I want that back. Like now. Halo 5 better put some amazing EE's in that damn game like Blue Team or Skulls again. Do you know how fun it was trying to challenge yourself to find all the skulls, and that feeling you got when you have that IWHBYD Skull? Oh. Good times. Damn good times lol

Yes I would like skulls to become the way they used to be as well. It's always a fun time trying to get them, even if you already know where they are. I also hope terminals make a return, but are a little harder to get to then in previous games.

One thing I would very much like to see is more big battles. Just look at the scarab fights in Halo 3 and you'll see what I'm talking about. I just want them on a larger scale, as it seems each battlefield throughout each campaign has been shrinking.

If I am not mistaken no one found the IWHBYD skull. Some people had to look at the code of the game or something to figure out the order. Well I guess if no one used the Internet they could have eventually got it.

One thing I want is more length of campaign and maybe some open world elements. This whole Locke situation seems like it could be set up to be open world. Say you play as Master Chief on the typical linear levels doing your mission or what not. Then you finish and move over the Locke who is wondering around on the Infinity. You go to the deck and learn there are 6 potential places Chief may be hiding at. Of course only one would be a location. So you choose a wrong place and instead you find a terminal/skull/other thing instead and move on. And if you choose the right one you could end up skipping right over the easter eggs.

that sounds really cool, but so far the most open Halo campaign we've had was ODST

I would like to see new material (things untried by halo) but still following the other games. I do like original games but not games that feel like they repeat over and over in different games. And some games start doing that over time.
