What do you think is the best pilot of any series?

From Family Guy to Game of Thrones, House of Cards to Pokemon. What series has the best pilot ever? It could be because of the surprising twists and turns the story takes or about the character development that happens so early on. Heck, it could even be just that it looks good. What do you think is the best pilot episode ever?

 

Personally, I think Breaking Bad had the best pilot ever. It's plot kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time even though it was just a pilot. After watching it, I couldn't stop watching it, and got instantly hooked.

Good question, of the shows that I have actually payed attention to, House and Boy Meets World. Haha. Current shows... I am not really sure. I will have to give it more thought.

For myself, it was The Office. In 2006 the first episode titled "Pilot" was aired and it was a hit. To this day, that pilot holds a special place in my heart.

for me its probabbly Elfen Lied Another or Full Metal Alchemist as far as animes go

for normal TV i really did enjoy the pilot of two and a half men

I thought the Helix Pilot was good it was enough for a story to start, but left you wanting more like any good pilot. Same with the Defiance Pilot.

Well.... to date, I think it was probably the pilot episode for the original Star Wars The Clones Wars cartoon. That was way back when though.....

I liked the plot of Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008 TV Series) I thought throughout the seasons the characters were developed at consistent pace and it was interesting to watch the story evolve. Season 1 felt much, much different from season 5, and on March 7 we'll see how different season 6 is.
