  1. What happened to the Living Dead game mode? Back in the good old days, (AKA when you could actually play a good map and game mode, circa January 2012) I would hop on, and play a fun round of Alpha Zombies on Sword Base, then continue with the game. Living Dead was my passion. I loved it. It was fun, and everyone I talked to thought so as well. You'll understand then, why I am so bedazzled (No, this is not the correct use of the word) at why it all changed! The announcement came "We'll be including some Player-Made maps to the Living Dead game mode." I thought 'Oh, that'll be fun. Finally a chance to try a little something different.' It was alright at first. I was optimistic about it all, thinking that we were going to play Undead Village, or maybe a spinoff of Hot Pursuit. No. Instead, Living Dead took a terrible, spiralling turn, much like chivalry, of horrible forging. "Uncongealed? Spooky Base? What is this, a concentration camp?!?" Not quite, not yet. But like 1938, the tide was turning, and the scapegoat of 343's Hitlerish wrath was Living Dead. I know what you're thinking. "Did he just make a Holocaust reference?" Yes, I did. For if we don't do something, then the Reach that we know and love could well turn into the site of a Halo-caust. The fun games dissapeared. Alpha Zombies became less common, and then almost inexistant. And soon, the beloved maps that we enjoyed playing dissapeared. I figured that if I kept playing, they were bound to turn up. They haven't. Not even now. I have played Living Dead about 10 times for 2 weeks straight, and the only decent map that ever turned up was Boardwalk (which isn't that bad, except when I say only map, I mean ONLY map). I am not biased about 343, not at all. I really am looking forward to Halo 4, and respect 343 for taking on the monumental task of keeping the fire burning. I don't agree with all their desisions, but I am an optomistic person. I have posted this Topic to make my anger and dislike of what 343 has been doing to Living Dead public. I don't like the game mode anymore now. And the whole "Choose which maps we'll put up by playing them!" thing isn't working. How can we vote on a map we like, if it isn't an option? 343, if you want to do a good thing, bring back Living Dead. The REAL living dead. Because the dish that you've been trying to shove down our throats (no homo) is moldy and tastes like crap. Do the right thing, let the people decide, like on Slayer, or give us a forum to make our opinions heard. Please, listen to us. Comment below if you agree or disagree. Really, I want to know if I'm the only one out here.

    Raptors

Hello guys! I'm here to present to you a map made by Tomlids. He does not yet have an account here and so I am taking the liberty of promoting his awesome map.The map is named Raptors and supports both infection and race in a Jurassic Park themed setting. The gametype uses a special varient where all zombies are elites. Download Map Here: Download "Special" Gametype Here Otherwise it is recommended that you use the gametype: zm_outbreak Below you is an overview shot of the map showing the zombie respawn points. The main idea behind this project was to have a medium sized infection map that supported all sorts of fun gameplay. This map has without a doubt achieved its goal. Humans can hold out in a tremendous number of ways, ranging from holing up in close quarter tunnels to riding in the back of a warthog. VIDEO LINK Weapons available: -rockets -sniper -shotguns -pistols -grenades -assault rifles -turret Vehicles available: -1 warthog -1 mongoose The shining jewel of the map has to be the warthog gameplay. The map was redesigned specifically to promote better vehicle pathing and now warthogs can take full advantage of the loop around the map. The best hope for surviving in the warthog is to keep moving and the circuit worked into the map allows it to do just that. The size of the map however keeps the warthog from becoming too powerful as the raptors can easily cut across the main building to flank the vehicles or lay ambushes. Some action shots... Here humans are seen defending the campsite. The warthog barrels through the cave where the rockets spawn Just about the best mode of transport to out distance the raptors Holding out in the smallest of the three rooms inside the main building
  3. I'm not sure what you guys (and girls) might think about this but I believe they should actually use the flood to play in the infection gametype. Not computers playing against players of course but actual players playing as the flood. Also in fire fight they should use the flood to play against you. But I believe the infection idea is actually a very good one. If you beleive so to then just try your best to get the word out about it in the forums and online. We could help shape halo 4's future gameplay XD
  4. Hi. I'm looking for game type testers for a new Infection game type called Evolution. There are multiple changes, and at current it has been tested by a few of my friends and myself. If anyone wants to test the new game type, send my Xbox Live account a message saying you want to test Evolution. I'd prefer if you used text in your message, and not voice. The first 11 to send me a message will get the job. If I do not recieve 11 messages, I'll get some of my friends to join in, so no worries. Slight alterations may be made between games, if there are issues. Thanks
  5. Hi. I'm a new guy. Anyways, I have made a new infection game type, called Evolution. It's got a few changes, including 5 survivor classes, each with a different primary weapon, and the zombies have plasma pistols. It's actually quite fun, and there are more changes which I haven't listed. If you want to help me test, send me a message. With text, preferably, not voice. I'm probably gonna have to make some changes, so the first 11 people who send me a message get to test it Probably the first question is: am I gonna get 11 messages about it? Lol. Send all messages to SM295. Have fun
  6. Does anyone know if Halo CEA has an infection like Halo 3 or Reach were Halo 3 maps were forged or if they will just be big empty maps like Halo Reach?
