  1. Hello ladies and gentlemen, if you didn't already know by the thousands of reminders in the shoutbox, IT'S MAH BERTHDEY. So, I figured the best way to celebrate would be to write a review to please your eyes and brain. So sit back, relax, and let's dive into the box office dinosaur known as Jurassic World! There will be minor spoilers, but if you haven't seen the movie, don't worry too much. You're not going into this for the story, you and I both know that. No, you're going to see Jurassic World for two things: Nostalgia, and DINO WARS. So, let's talk about the film's story a bit, since we're on the subject. The film begins following the tale of two brothers going to visit their aunt, who helps run the new and improved park. Chris Pratt plays a raptor trainer who is probably the best part of this movie, but that might just be because he's Chris bloody Pratt. Basically, the park has begun to dip in ratings, so they decide it'd be a fantastic idea to genetically engineer a new dinosaur, made up of many species. Of course, this backfires, and we have our plot. Now, is the plot believable? Not in any way. Is it fun to watch? Absolutely. It entertains me to watch dinosaurs chew into people and just cause chaos. Not every film needs to be an art-house philosophical journey. Not discounting the greatness of those films, however. Jurassic World's plot basically works for what they are trying to convey. So, how is the action and CGI? To me, a lot of the CGI work was very well done and the animatronics were a nice touch. The fighting is what tops this movie off though, it's so cheesy and fun to watch dinosaurs fight dinosaurs, dinosaurs fight humans, etc. I'm going to mention one action scene here, but don't worry, no real spoilers. Eventually, they chase down this genetically engineered dinosaur to a pterodactyl enclosure WITH A HELICOPTER AND A MACHINE GUN. They just rip through the dinosaur but it manages to break into the enclosure and the pterodactyls SWARM the helicopters, like getting stuck in the rotors and all that jazz. You watch as the helicopter EXPLODES and it's just beauty. The next scene after is even better, but I won't spoil it for you. Acting and directing, you say? Well, it's really a mixed bag. I mean, you have fantastic actors like Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard who light up the screen with their passion and you can truly see they ENJOY the role. But then you've got Vincent D'onofrio and the two brothers who feel SO PHONED IN it's truly disappointing. Again, I don't expect Whiplash or Dawn of the Planet of the Apes level acting, but come the hell on. Directing is fine, I'm not really a critic in this area, I wouldn't know too well. So what was my overall opinion on Jurassic World? I felt that it was a criminally underrated pop-corn flick that will be extreme fun to watch every now and then. It's a better Jurassic Park than Lost World and III, that's for sure. Chris Pratt and the movie's action are really where it shines it's brightest, and it's dinosaurs are certainly a delight to watch on screen. I think this movie can really been a great time for some friends who just wanna go see a fun film about dinosaurs tearing up a park. And the last 30+ minutes are some of the best movie moments I've ever seen. It's certainly not going to win an Oscar for best film, but as far as action movies go, it's a killer time. For my movie ratings, I use an F-A+ system, F being the worst, and A+ being the best, and anything inbetween being, y'know, inbetween. I give Jurassic World an: B+
  2. Anyone watch the Jurassic Park movies? Well this was the second, came out after the second book. I loved it growing up and still love it, my favorite film in the series. The one thing about it that caught my attention was the theme. A lot island thriving with life, just something about that really interest me. Dinosaur movies with this vibe always gets my blood pumping for adventure and action. It feels more primitive then the other movies, a darker feel... This one focused on the action more, and action does interest me. So what did you like about this movie? What is your favorite film in the series? I'll compare the books to the movies at some point if you want me too. Peace out.
  3. This is Jurassic Park: Outbreak, a sequel to Michael Crichton's books, 23 years after the Nublar incident. 18 years after TLW. I printed out 152 pages if you didn't see my last thread, more of my story is on DA and my PC. I hope you enjoy, the chapters are linked together http://fav.me/d61hp7t please comment, rate, and subscribe. Thank you.
  4. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=oG4GodhM3BI My video talks about things from the books the movie could use for its plot. and things left out unexplained in the movies.
  5. Who is happy for JW? Which is your favorite film and character? And have you read the books? Favorite dinosaur? The Lost World, Ian Malcolm, JP3 raptors (females).
  6. Hi, this is my tribute to Michael Crichton, this is what I think JW should be like. I hope you like, I posted this before but I fixed mistakes. ~Enjoy. Prologue Isla Sorna lab, 2:00 PM. Isla Sorna's roaring waves hit its rocky cliff perimeter, making watery, misty explosions. The afternoon light was not really in sight during the cloudy day. From a bird's eye view, the island's beautiful look still held up. Lush open wet grasslands were seen, lots of thick wet jungle, rivers, and the faint light from the cloud covered sun made the day prettier. The big island's lush ecosystem made up for the kind of gloomy day. The afternoon sounds of the loco birds made the island more inviting. The big rusty, old building in the large grassland of the Northeastern part of the island still held up, even after InGen left, things seemed quiet there at the lab fortress.... When Dr. Wingfield joined Biosyn (A geneticists company that steals ideas from rival companies) to help research GX4 3 weeks ago, things had gone wrong… Velociraptors surrounded the old abandoned rusty, darkened laboratory, breaking through windows, shredding 6 of Wingfield's dead team with their foot claws. Biting the rest of the protection bars of the door that protected him and his last remaining teammates. They banged on the door, snarling and screeching. The lab's many holes let faint daylight in. The lab was old; cracks on the walls were seen a lot. But the lab was still intact somehow... "They're breaking through!" said Ronold as he was blocking the door. As the scaly, gray raptor hand found its way through the door next to Ronold, it tried to scratch him. He backed away quickly after each attempt, faint metal screeching rang on his ears as they clawed the wall next to the door, making long scratch marks. Carla Park was at the bottom of the door, blocking it with a metal stick. Wingfield saw that the raptors would have to try harder to overcome the muscular, short haired woman of 25. He saw that her bloody A-shirt's stains were still bright red. "What the f*** do we dooo?!" Wingfield appeared as a dark brown man, with graying hair on the sides of his head, sweat soaked the sides of his rectangular glasses. Wingfield searched the room some more, nothing so far. He saw a tall metal grey shelf with lots of little objects that looked like they could be used for surviving a blackout. His beady brown eyes zigzagged as he looked. Then, at the corner of his eye, a small smoke bomb the size of a lipstick, he grabbed it. The thing was almost completely covered with his wide thick fingers. "Open the door on three." Wingfield said. The two agents nodded. "One… Two… THREE!!!" The bomb zoomed out the door, it landed on the bloody ground, and in that instant it went off with a loud hissing sound. The team of BioSyn agents ran for the custom jungle SUV parked just outside the lab, they could see it thanks to a large portion of the end of the large hallway was gone. The lab suffered many more damages like that, a lot were worse. The car had lots of grey protection bars on the headlights and windows, except the front window. The team ran like hell, the distance to the car was about 36 meters. Running in the dark blue long sleeved shirts and pants was easy, even with the black bullet proof vest. Ronold's running intimidated most people, the sight of seeing a well-toned muscular man with big bulging biceps was kind of frightening. The sky light beamed down at the damaged hall, shining light on his face, highlighting his fuzzy cleft. The hall's ceiling was damaged, most of it was gone, and it had many holes, allowing the light from the grey cloudy sky to beam through. The mottled grey hall had about 7 doors, 4 on the left side and 3 on the right. Carla Park was falling behind, tired from losing blood from the raptor claw wound that ran from her armpit to her hand, the only thing holding the wound in place was a bloody tee. Some dry blood was on her short blond hair and tan skin. The mirrors on some parts of the wall made it kind of hard to see her rounded scared face. The light blue eyes were very noticeable however. She was about to call for help when, at the corner of her eye, a tall, green striped figure busted through the hall's walls. Dust and weak concrete gave way as the large animal came in. Carla saw its slender triangular yellow head, and basic theropod body come from the dust. In a few seconds, she found herself 16 ft. above the ground, in the jaws of a Carcharodontosaurus. She felt the shark-like teeth puncture her guts, as she puked blood. The pain felt like a bunch of hot knives going straight through her soft flesh... The large animal dropped her to the concrete floor, and saw that the human was crawling away...slowly...Grunting in pain....The animal stepped forward, and scooped her up, and jogged to the jungle, Carla's screams were heard...... "Carla!" said Ronold, as he was about to go after her. "Mooove!" Wingfield said as he yanked his arm, the yank was so strong. Ronold saw that the well-toned Latina man was a little faster than him. The car was 10 meters away now. Animals jumped down from a bridge above the men, raptors, they jumped down in front of the team, snarling at them, the team was knocked down. The team was being mauled and bitten as they tried to get up. Finally, Wingfield broke free by kicking a raptor's belly. He was by the car now, panting as he was opening the door. He closed it quickly. The speckled green and brown BMW SUV came to life as he used the key he had in his pocket, he was on his way. A B-BUMP! Sound came from behind the passenger window, it was Ronold… Torn to the bone, veins hanging out, a scratched up torso, and a broken jaw, he banged the window, begging to come in. He slurred "HEEEELLLPPP!" As his hanging torn right eye was looking at Wingfield, he smeared blood on the window as his hands rubbed it. Wingfield opened the door, and saw a group of raptors charged the car at great speed; they were about 30 ft. away. He gunned the car to the thick jungle. The raptors surrounded the car, all hissing at the poor humans, Wingfield searched the glove box for a weapon, he found nothing… Ronold, his eye wide open, was too messed up to move. The road was infested with trees, the windshield wipers got caught and stopped, and it was a blind drive…. The jungle was filled with ferns, cycads, and long green vines that smacked the car and the animals chasing it. The raptors did not seem to care; their minds were strictly focused on KILLING the humans...Their vertical white lines along their sides kind of distracted George. All the raptors nudged at the car, some even climbed on top, just when Wingfield thought the situation could not get any worse. A thick rounded body of an Apatosaurus carcass was in the road, the long neck and tail were in each side of his path. He made a sudden sharp turn to the unknown, he crashed to a large rock, and felt himself being battered around the car as it flipped over.. The crash made him and Ronold burst out the car, falling to the brown mud. They and the car were in a large open part of the jungle, sun light came in faint beams in the area. they were in a gap in the area that let a lot of sun in the middle of it, the area was circular. Trees surrounded it. Wingfield got back up and tried to get Ronold up, but in that instant the raptors busted out the trees and jumped the men. Ronold, who was to hurt to move, was in seconds torn to bits. Wingfield was still fighting, trying to dodge the foot claws, and trying to get his knife. One of animals got a lucky hit and gutted him, grabbed his neck with its jaws, and threw him 6 ft across the area till he hit a rock. Wingfield could not feel his neck, barley able to move his head to see his guts were everywhere. He was about to pass out when.. He saw a raptor, standing there, breathing at him. The red, beady bird-like eyes were so focused on him. Wingfield was too messed up to move, he was paralyzed, and broken. Wingfield watched as the raptor lifted its hind leg, ready to strike, and in a second, the foot smashed Wingfield's eye sockets.

    Raptors

Hello guys! I'm here to present to you a map made by Tomlids. He does not yet have an account here and so I am taking the liberty of promoting his awesome map.The map is named Raptors and supports both infection and race in a Jurassic Park themed setting. The gametype uses a special varient where all zombies are elites. Download Map Here: Download "Special" Gametype Here Otherwise it is recommended that you use the gametype: zm_outbreak Below you is an overview shot of the map showing the zombie respawn points. The main idea behind this project was to have a medium sized infection map that supported all sorts of fun gameplay. This map has without a doubt achieved its goal. Humans can hold out in a tremendous number of ways, ranging from holing up in close quarter tunnels to riding in the back of a warthog. VIDEO LINK Weapons available: -rockets -sniper -shotguns -pistols -grenades -assault rifles -turret Vehicles available: -1 warthog -1 mongoose The shining jewel of the map has to be the warthog gameplay. The map was redesigned specifically to promote better vehicle pathing and now warthogs can take full advantage of the loop around the map. The best hope for surviving in the warthog is to keep moving and the circuit worked into the map allows it to do just that. The size of the map however keeps the warthog from becoming too powerful as the raptors can easily cut across the main building to flank the vehicles or lay ambushes. Some action shots... Here humans are seen defending the campsite. The warthog barrels through the cave where the rockets spawn Just about the best mode of transport to out distance the raptors Holding out in the smallest of the three rooms inside the main building
