  1. Now that would be awesome! Grenade jumping is always fun. Also how about a trip mine which can be a grenade type.
  2. That would be neat. I think the pulse grenade is kind of useless unless you just block a doorway off. How about a grenade called a jumper that rolls and bounces around a map at the speed of a sprinting spartan and appears on the enemies radar. after 15 seconds the grenade will explode in a bright flash. This is to mainly distract or divert enemies.
  3. Would be cool but I sadly don't see it happening
  4. I don't think you should compare these songs... Well how about this one against 117...
  5. Haha. Halo anniversary did simple commands with kinect and it worked perfectly. It can surely be done and also how what it cost a lot or take years to make?
  6. ^ That would be awesome! It would really evolve the game. I heard dead rising 3 uses the kinect's microphone. If you make too much noise the zombies in the game will hear and hunt for you. Maybe halo could do something as creative as that with the kinect.
  7. Exactly! Exactly! Halo is the xbox's main game, and they should show just how much the new console can do.
  8. I agree with most of your points. However, i do think kicking could easily be balanced by it dealing slightly more damage than melee and every one has it. First person vehicles would be an option as it would lower their ability. Sprinting is nice but would like it to sound and feel better. Climbing would be neat in campaign and evade should be default like pushing b while sprinting.
  9. You should have worded your question different. What soundtrack should inspire halo 5?
  10. Did you say shotgun, saw, needler and sticky detonator in loadouts!? That would be extremely unbalanced (even more than the plasma grenades and plasma pistols.) As for the rest your ideas, I think halo 4's ranking was bad and tackling when out of ammo would be cool but too powerful. The evade would be awesome, and so are most of your ideas on this list. What do you mean by rank 50 unlocks blade?
  11. Ya, I go lone wolf in halo 4 too and rack up an easy 25 kills and lose anyways. But in halo 3 I get around 12 kills and still win because we work together.
  12. No, it's a very very very very good and interesting idea... Wait what is this?
  13. It's where you can do a roll to dive out of the way of grenades or charge with your sword. It is kinda of like thruster pack but more useful and realistic.
  14. Yes, these are some great ideas. I always thought that they should have evade default but didn't know how it would be done. That would work excellent.
  15. You're right, for the most part. Halo's original soundtrack is what made halo, well halo. I want to see something creative and new, but it still needs to sound like halo. Removing classic songs and style is like removing the needler from the game. Again, i do want to see something new, with the classic instruments, monk chant, and electric guitar because that is halo. Halo was original and distinct, but now it is starting to blend in with other games. 343 my advice to you is to make halo soundtrack, new but halo.
  16. I think halo 2. I already started a topic on this exactly... Check it out... http://www.343industries.org/forum/topic/29927-halo-5-soundtrack-what-we-want/
  17. Thanks- lets hope that 343 will hear our suggestions.
  18. Ya, climbing, evade (no thruster pack!), sprinting( I don't remember exactly but in the books Kelly could run like 30 miles per hour.), maybe some cool kicks would make your spartan feel like a spartan not just the ordinary soldier. I also think you shouldn't go into 3rd person when using some armor abilities or drive vehicles. Imagine driving a warthog in first person. Especially in campaign, they should emphasis their agility. For example if you sprint at your enemy, you take huge loud strides and you can double click the melee button to jump forward or slide, and kick them in the face. Now, that would be cool.
  19. Haha, didn't think of that! They could black put blocks over their hands... No, stance customization is probably not the best idea.
  20. Hopefully, they will evolve the game. However, they still need to keep classic game play. Swimming, boats, larger battles, etc. should be involved in halo by now though. Great thoughts by the way, weapons should be more accurate considering you're 500 years in the future not to mention you are a super soldier and shouldn't wave your gun around or slow down when shot.
  21. Voice commands in Forge would be awesome! I would like to see the ability to command marines too. Here's my topic on kinect... http://www.343industries.org/forum/topic/30392-commanding-allies-with-your-voice-kinect/?do=findComment&comment=275213
  22. To 343, This is a must have list and is extremely reasonable and easy to implement. It took a long time to write so please read the whole thing and if you can reply. 1. Soundtrack. This is important. Very important. I get that you want to make halo your own but you can't get rid of the old soundtrack. You need the classic instruments and monk chant because that is what makes halo, well halo. The campaign could have been a lot better if 343 combined the amazing music with the new. First of all I will tell what is wrong with halo 4's soundtrack. Well, I am not saying that it was bad, but it definitely didn't sound like halo. It sounded like it could be out of almost any movie. Not to mention the menu music that sounded like the lady was dying made me want to start a game as fast as possible. There were times when it shined, but not as brightly as well halo 3 music. You must bring in the humming monks, piano and electric guitar in songs like one final effort, mjolner mix, never forget, etc. The music plays a big part in the feeling of halo that most of us say is gone. Just finish the fight! 2. Duel weilding. Duel weilding in halo 2 and 3 made some of the most epic showdowns in the game. You really need to bring this back. Make Duel weilding possible with the weapons from halo 3, the boltshot, needler, and maybe even swords. You shouldn't have to drop a gun to melee, but there should be new melee animations for Duel weilding like hitting them on either side of their head with both guns. With dueling swords it would be epic if you would spin and roll at close together enemies with a smooth animation. 3. Scarabs. This is what I and almost everyone misses the most out of halo 3. The covenant, mission was voted the best mission in all halos. Do you know why? Scarabs! Two Scarabs! (and of course the story and hornets) Scarabs were the most challenging and fun enemies to take down. You don't have to make them drivable or anything. Just leave them just like in halo 3 and maybe add some elites working controls. 4. Brutes. They have been an enemy since halo 2 and should return in halo 5. I thought of a cool idea to bring brutes back. All brutes were thought to be destroyed... When an elite leader stumbled upon a planet inhabited by brutes. Still upset from the brutes replacing them, he takes the brutes as slaves. While many earned the right to fight for him with their brutal weaponry many remained slaves. So in halo 5 master chief stumbles along an elite general and his slave. The slave attempts to escape and tries to melee the elite. The elites turns on the brutes electric collar quickly and the brute falls to the ground. The elite pulls out his sword and right when he is about to kill the brute, master chief snaps the elite's neck from behind. They awkwardly exchange glances when the brute appears to charge chief. Master chief jumps to the side and the brute tackles and rips a jackal sniper apart who was about to shoot chief. The brute sarcastically says no need to thank me. And chief says I'll thank you when this war is over. (cheesy but awesome!) The brute becomes an ally and helps you fight the covenant including his race. Brutes were really cool to fight. They should stay the tougher, stronger, scarier enemies. It was so awesome when the brute chieftain ran at you full speed deflecting your bullets and activating invincibility. You better keep brutes difficult to kill. Of course you better bring back their weapons and vehicles! This may be just highly recommended but the Chopper is a must have. 5. Weapons and Vehicles. There needs to be more diverse crazy weapons. I will quit halo if you don't bring back the classic weapons. As for vehicles, there needs to be the Chopper, the locust from halo wars, spectre and a new flying covenant vehicle. A flying unsc vehicle. I would personally like to see both the hornet and falcon. Plus the new vtol vehicle. 6. More melee, assassination and weapon animations. First of all, it would be very cool if you dove at your enemy with your sword. For one assassination you could rip a needle out of your needler at jab it in their head. Or you take your hammer and throw the blade end at their back then rip it out of their armor. You could have assassinations based on their location like kicking an enemy off a cliff or smashing them into a wall. 7. The menu. I absolutely hated the halo 4 menu. The music was painful and the layout was confusing and ugly. Bring back the classic layout for the menu in all lobbies especially Matchmaking. The music should be something exciting and epic to get me pumped up to play. 8. Maps. Have the top 10 maps from all halos return in halo 5. Then add at least 10 new multiplayer maps at launch. The maps should feature a VARIETY OF ENVIRONMENTS and must have a snow map, beach, space, grass, jungle, city, forerunner, covenant, military base, and desert maps. Then have at least 6 firefight maps with two giant Forge able firefight maps. Finally have 3 Forge worlds, the space, desert which you can change the texture to snow, and classic. Maps should also have a variety of effects in Matchmaking like nighttime, sunset, rain, thunderstorm, cloudy, etc. The maps should be very well designed, the maps in halo 4 were bad... 9. Playable elites. and maybe other species. They were great for machinima and invasion. 10. Classic Playlists. For Matchmaking have classic slayer, classic objective, and a classic rotating gametype, for example rocket race and infection. The classic Gametypes should be just like in halo 3 with new or classic maps. 11. Hidden Skulls. I would really like to see them hidden again. They add hours to replay value. But this time they should not only hide them in campaign but also in firefight and multiplayer maps. They could even hide a skull every week somewhere different in a multiplayer map and you get achievements about every 5 skulls and a skull helmet( like halo reach) once you find all 25. They should be difficult to find but 343 should tell us the map it is on for the week and a little riddle to help us find it. They also should be available on Forge maps although there should only be a few initial skulls hidden on them where you have to build to get to them. Finally for campaign, they should have all the skulls plus:Clueless: turns off all way points and directions Unstoppable: increased speed and moves slowly even when trying to stay Odst : no shields, no radar Old school: who needs sprint or armor abilities? Paranormal : all enemies equipped with active camouflage. Custom : Your survival is in your hands. That makes 20 skulls in campaign. If there is ten missions there will be two on each level. That will lead to extra hours of game play in the campaign. If you find all the skulls in the campaign you should unlock the hayabusa armor and the katana sword. 12. Classic Grunts and Easter Eggs. Classic grunts are hilarious and should return. Or you make the storm grunts speak English. There should be plenty of easter eggs to add replay value and humor to the game. 13. Firefight. Firefight needs to make a return. There should also be flood firefight as well as a new hunger games like gametype in the jungle where you try to kill all of the other players but must watch out for the occasional pack of crawlers, drones and natural wildlife. Forge able firefight would be awesome if possible. Finally there should be vehicles in firefight. 14. Making you feel like a Spartan. Halo 5 needs to make Spartans more agile. You should replace thruster pack with evade and use evade default by double pressing the crouch button while moving. Your spartan should sound big and powerful as it moves. Loud metallic footsteps and the humming clank of your armor rubbing. You should sprint in long loud strides. You should be able to pull yourself up ledges and even kick. You could kick an enemy in close range by double pressing the melee button, which acts like a melee but is slightly more powerful and puts them off balance. You could do a jump kick by sprinting at an enemy jumping then double clicking the melee button which is an instant kill but is hard to time and the opposite player can crouch or evade to counteract. If you miss a jump kick you will slide a few feet giving your opponent time to react. You should be able to swim and slide down walls holding the gun in one hand and the wall in the other. If you sprint jump into a wall you can propel yourself higher to reach a ledge or do a backflip over a stalker. This would make your spartan look and feel epic. 15. Classic halo feel and game play. That means no grenade indicator, flinch, and no power weapons in loadouts! I actually like having loadouts but plasma grenades, plasma pistols, and the boltshot is overpowered. You should only be able to choose your primary weapon and armor abilities. Ordinance should not have a big arrow over it unless you're around 10 feet, it will show a small way point. The flashlight should return as well as the old physics. 16. A BOAT! Adding an ocean battle into halo would awesome. There could be huge swells or a peaceful beach. The unsc boats would include a warthog like speedboat with a turret called the hammerhead, a jet ski with two side guns and a large half boat half aircraft ship the size of a mammoth. The covenant would have an amphibious ghost, the kraken a Chopper like boat that can dive underwater and splatter light boats from underneath. The kraken could have some deadly blades and jumps out from underwater to slice and shoot with its powerful bullets. Then there is a massive covenant cruiser. Finally there would be the Promethean beast. The beast is a sphere which skims across the the water crushing anything in its way with its beams. It can boost itself into the air to land on a ship. The beast can dive underwater and is fast. The light boats could be used in Forge and in a campaign mission. The mission would be to get to this mysterious forerunner island before the covenant. After you fight off the covenant and forerunners defending you race to catch up an elite leader on an amphibious ghost on your jet ski. The cut scene plays and you tackle the elite into the water and you go crashing into the rocky shore. 17. More open world, enough said. 18. A better Forge. Read this 19. A destructible environment. Make it so we can knock over a small tree or shoot down a wall at least in campaign. 20. A beta. Halo 5 needs a beta for obvious reasons. Halo 4 had way too many glitches at launch. Additional hopes Space battles Old ranking system New class of enemies Longer campaign Arbiter Fred, Kelly and Linda Kinect commands Thanks so much for reading, and please implement these things into the game. They are extremely easy to put in and are wanted by the majority of the community. Any thoughts or ideas that you must have?
