  1. Looks awesome, when I get back from work I'll try it out. :-)
  2. GT: Cheeky Hamster Map: Newton Please may you test my map, I want to know whether the spawns are good and whether weapon placements and map flow are good enough for a good competitive map, i am also slightly concerned about sight lines http://www.343industries.org/forum/topic/22002-newton-updated/
  3. I posted this map in 'THFE Competitive Map submissions' here: http://www.343indust...newton-updated/ And I was wondering if some of the more seasoned forgers could take a look at the map and give me any tips on how I may tweak it in order to make it a) the best competitive map it can be and the best looking it can be. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  4. That would be greatly appreciated because I have reached the end of my knowledge on how I can make my map as good as can be. Could you refer me to anyone?
  5. Do we have any pro's on these forums who would be able to playtest maps to check if they would work competitively and how they could be tweeked (spawns, weapons and timings) in order to make the best possible competitive experience?
  6. Thank you DoctorB77, I have updated my map again, tweaking weapons, getting rid of the last of the object clashing and fixing the lifts from mid base to top base.
  7. Newton 8-10 players "When the UNSC first discovered how to reverse gravity the Newton Facility was constructed to experiment" This map is a symmetrical three layered structure built around a central gravity well which can be used to access any floor. Surrounding the fairly open central play space are four bases; two blue bases connected together by a bridge and two red bases also connected together by a bridge. The main blue and red bases can be accessed from the bottom floor by internal man-cannon, the middle floor by entering through the doorway and the top floor by lifts and from their respective bridges. The blue and red towers have two way teleporters to the bottom, doorways from the centre and can be accessed by the middle or the bridge. I have designed this map to be a fast paced medium sized map with multiple entrances and exits to all of the bases with many jumps and short cuts available for the more daring. Gametypes: Slayer (Team and FFA) King of the Hill (Team and FFA) Capture the Flag Regicide (Team and FFA) Flood Weapons on map: Initial Drop Sniper Rifle x2 (3 minutes) Shotgun x2 (2 minutes 30 seconds) Railgun x1 (2 minutes) Machine Gun x2 (1 minute 30 seconds) Two Frag Grenades x2 (1 minute) Random Drop Energy Sword Saw Sticky Detonator Middle Blue Side Red Side Walk around (outdated) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AN7y6wqFex4 Tips and Tricks Sprinting into the gravity zone allows you to go down a floor. There are entrance points on all sides of the bottom of the map for you to drop into or thruster pack into. Sprint jump onto the struts bottom middle and you can ride the gravity zone up to middle/ top middle You can jump to blue/red base by sprinting off the railing in top grav. On top grav you can jump onto the dominion lights then onto the top, allowing you to sprint jump onto red/blue tower. From the top of blue/red tower you can sprint jump to the opening on blue/red bridge. From blue/red bridge you can sprint jump onto the ramp up to blue/red tower From the middle you can crouch jump onto the top of blue/red base. Thank you for reading. If you like the look of this map download it from my fileshare (Cheeky Hamster), under the name: "Newton". p.s: sorry for reposting but I have made many changes and wanted to completely redo my post, I have now playtested (and made a load of minor changes) and not only does the map play out well but is very fun to play, please have a go and any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
  8. I hate the way the oddball responds to gravity zones, it doesn't float, it bounces off them from the outside and you can't drop it whilst in one and it will get stuck between gravity zones like a wall glitch :-/ you guys know a) anything about this and how to get around it in anyway?
  9. Thank you all :-) I feel very welcome :-D
  10. Steve's met you, in fact he's watching you now but you keep failing to notice him. Also he ate the cheese :-/ sorry
  11. Thanks guys, I don't have cheese no :-/ but I do have a small imaginary ostrich called steve
  12. Vɪʀᴜs I do have one question, I have posted a map for review under competitive maps and there is a picture icon thingy next to the post on the forum but If I could choose which picture that was from the post it would be a different one, is there any way that I can change it?
  13. Thank you very much, I intend to :-D
