Bass heard the voice... Their flag was at the other base. "Son of a..." He muttered, then activated his communicator. "He Ganon!" "Read you loud and clear, what is it?" Ganon replied. "Is the package ready for drop?" Bass asked. Ganon snickered. "Oh yes." "Heh, drop it." Bass said, his smile concealed behind his visor. "Let's see some fire works." He heard engines, pelicans were unmistakeable. Then metal clanks rang... Three boxes landed, two sized the same while the other was larger. Then three drop pods hit, Spartans exiting each. The head one made his way to Bass. "I heard Spark wanted help, what is the situation?" "Glad you asked, our flag was stolen, and we want it back." Bass explained. "So Cedric, get your team ready for a little... Demolition." "Heh, about time." Cedric replied and turned to the others. "You heard him." Cedric commanded. "mount up. And Gibraltar?" The slender deadeye unit turned to him with an ice cold stare. "Time to show them Rancord's new invention." Cedric finished. " haha, fantastic." Gibraltar cackled and activated the large crate, opening it to reveal a mech. He sprinted and launched into the cockpit, shutting the hatch with one swift movement. The mechanical beast rose up and roared to live. "Let's show these hinge heads some true fire power. ... The covies yelled in victory, having the flag in their clutches. "We win!" Pluton yelled. Then a ghost sailed through, splattering about a dozen grunts. They all turned and jaws dropped. The mech was standing there, followed by ODST'S who were in the Hogs lead by the other Spartan, Corbin. "No mercy." He said. No one notice the elite sneak up behind the Mantis and jump onto the back until it was too late. "Game over!" The elite yelled, pulling out a plasma. But the hatch burst up, smashing the covie in the jaw, and onto the floor below, Gibraltar caught the plasma, and threw it at the fallen alien, sticking him. The results were quite satisfying. Ginbraltar reactivated the mantis and picked up a Revenant. "Who's next?" He sneered.

"Heh, that ought to keep em busy." Bass thought, halfway to the other spire. "Can't believe Spark's plan worked." He snuck past the guards that advance, leaving their own tower unattended. Now that Slik is putting his part of theplan into action, he will sneak in and grab the flag. But in case of any guards, he made a special order to be dropped at his signal. "There's the entrance." He said to himself, unlimbering his shotgun. "Time to turn and burn." He went through the doorless entrance, weapon primed and ready. No one was there so far, so he quietly made his way to a Grav lift that went up to the second to last floor. Upon usage, he was thrust though various levels of the structure, until the blue stream dropped him off at his destination... Someone was there. He observed through glass to see two jackals, 4 grunts, and an elite. "Heh, heh. This will be fun." He said, cocking the shotgun. Bass broke into a sprint, and lunged onto the first jackal, snapping its back, while using its carbine to drop the other. The grunts ran in fear, but didn't get far after a frag left them strewn across the floor. "Too easy." Bass jeered. "I assure you, I won't be." The elite sad, smacking the carbine from Bass, but not before his sword was whipped out of his hand by Bass who chucked his shotgun at it. "Rr, come here!" The elite growled. It advanced and attempted to punch, but Bass grabbed him by the wrist, only to meet the same result when he attempted it. The two were locked in arms. 'What now?' Bass thought, then looked up at his horn, and groaned. 'Can't believe I'm doing this.' He veered back, and head butted the elite, piercing it's skull with the horn, killing the covie. He pushed it off, and proceeded to rub the slimy blood off it. "Wow..." He echoed. "Never trying that again. Now for that flag..."

'How boring.' Spark though. 'A flag? These guys watch too much Red vs Blue.' He then heard some scuffling sounds, like metal against rock. There were no animals here, Bass used them to take pot shots for practice, but then again, the only dumb animals that wear metal armor are brutes. 'Wow, for stealth, these guys are loud.' He analyzed. He turned in his helmet radio to Bass. "What?" Bass replied over the radio. "Sounds like a stealth team, did you put up some traps like Slik said?" Spark asked him. "Eeyup." Bass told him. "They step on one wrong panel, they'll be the first covenant bottle rocket." "Good, good." Spark said. "Now we become the ambushers." He took his radar jammer and activated, hiding it under some fallen branches. "Tell the others, we need everyone ready." Spark informed urgently. "I've got an idea." Bass groaned. "Come on, not one of your crackpot plans again." He whined. "You better believe it."

'Wow, my luck seems to be turning up.' Spark thought. The grenades stopped going into the cave after he heard brute yells. 'Also looks like we have a new player in the game. He got up and exited the cave from the way he came in, and found his EMP field still on the ground. He bent over, dusted it, and pocketed it. 'Gonna be useful eventually. Brutes don't do anything without machines that are twice as intelligent.' He looked toward the base that had a reddish hue to it and spotted Bass on top with a sniper observing the surroundings. Spark then began his journey to the red base, but surprisingly found no resistance, which was odd to Hume since the brutes immense numbers. He reached it and nodded his regards to Bass. "Stop." Bass said. "What?" Spark asked. "Scooch to the left a bit." Bass told him. Spark did, and Bass shot, doming a Stalker brute that was in camo behind him. "Thanks." Spark murmured, eyes wide at how close he was from being torn a new one by the ape. He entered the base. It was an eyesore just like the rock cave back on Requiem. Supplies were against the wall, including ammo, frags, and the gauss hog that was parked in, blocking half the space. "Cozy." Spark commented, looking around. Millennia, the other spartan, simply shrugged her shoulders. "Ah well, did all I cou-" she was cut off as an energy sword pierced through her chest from something behind her. The elite came out of camo and slung her body like a rag doll across the room. Enraged, Bass lunged onto the elite, knocking him to the ground as Spark joined in battering the elite senseless. Bass took the sword and the elite knocked the two Spartans down with a few quick jabs. He swiftly reactivated his camo and fled the building. Bass followed out to the base's door, yelling threats and snapping the sword's handle in half. "Damn! He got away." Spark sneered, enraged. "Dunno..." Bass replied, sniper ready. He watched for a while, then shot, burying the projectile in the sanghili's shoulder. "Teach that alien son of a gun to kill one of us." Bass rumbled. "Next time it's going in his dome." "Yeah, but we also have brutes to worry about. Spark told him. "Huh, brutes?" Bass snorted. "They're just a bunch of apes on Roid rage."
