  1. Ahhhh, this is a bit of complex anatomy! It has to do with the way your tongue tastes things. Some of the chemicals in a plum register as sour or bitter on your tongue, and the others (such as sugar) register as sweet. It's a bit of a testament to the human mouth that we are able to simultaneously feel both of these sensations (or taste them, if you'd rather). This is dependent on the person. If you read the answer above, you'll know that some of the chemicals in Limes and Lemons register as sour on our tongues. However, the amount of effect these chemicals have is completely dependent on the person's tongue that it's touching. An example of this is "spiciness". Some people cannot stand it, because it hurts them more than the people who love it. For my tongue, it's lemons though. lol
  2. OHOH! I KNOW! Goats on a Boat? "Hatred does not cease by hatred. Only by love. This is the Eternal Rule." -Buddha
  3. Various different websites. If you google search something like "The Hunger Games weapons for sale" you should get quite a few sites selling HG weapons. And if you search "Movie weapons for sale" you'll get a bunch more for other movies! Franco Corelli was known for his amazing voice range. He died in '03 though, but technically that's modern. xD Pine Gap is the commonly used name for a certain satellite tracking station. It's the Aussie "area 51" lol
  4. Most of the stuff they had to remove in the Original Halo 2 made up Halo 3. xD
  5. I honestly thought you were joking for a second there, then I realized that you were serious. That saddens me deeply. Let me explain what Halo 2 did for not only the Halo series, but for all modern FPS games. Pretty much everything you find in modern Halo's began in Halo 2. (Boarding vehicles, destroying vehicles, regenerative health, all sorts of things). Also, Halo 2 was the first Halo to play over X-Box Live. Halo CE's multiplayer was strictly splitscreen, or by connecting consoles. It made use of much larger maps and game modes, was the first game to have Swat and BTB, and pretty much made every Halo game after it. Halo CE was pretty revolutionary, and it was the first Halo game, but in the metaphorical Halo Skyscraper, it's simply the foundation. The bare essentials. Halo 2 is the beautiful first floor that allowed the rest of the Halo games to come. If Halo 2 had failed, there wouldn't be a Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST, Halo Reach, Halo Wars, or even Halo 4. Halo 2 was the game that put Bungie on the map, not Halo CE. Halo 2 introduced ALL of the brute weaponry, the brutes themselves, the BR, the Beam Rifle, the Fuel Rod Gun, the Energy Sword, and even the Wraith. You couldn't drive any covenant vehicles except for the Ghost and the Banshee in Halo CE. Halo 2 made EVERY weapon available. As far as innovation goes, Halo 2 was the single most important Halo game that has been made as of yet. Yes, there were glitches and whatnot, but Halo 2 MADE Halo a series. If Halo 2 had failed, there would not be a series.
  6. Don't Touch That: Prevent the attacking team from touching the flag in a matchmade 1-flag ctf game. Basically, get a decent team and play 1-flag ctf. Don't let the enemy team touch the flag. You don't even have to actually WIN, just prevent them from picking up the flag.
  7. No, nerfing ruins the game. Nerfing weapons turns one shot sniper rifles into portable cotton ball launchers. Nerfing turns assault rifles into jokes. Nerfing leads to boring and frustrating gameplay. What's the point in playing an FPS where your fist is actually more powerful than your rifle? :/
  8. I hate it when they nerf weapons. All it does is make the games last longer. I think they should increase the power of the other weapons to compensate if it is OP.
  9. It gives you a better grip on the sticks and makes them slightly longer. This aids in giving you more control over the sticks. They don't increase your accuracy as a person, but they increase the amount of control you have on the sticks is all lol
  10. Actually, it's theoretically possible that they can. The only Spartans that have come in contact with the flood are the ones aboard the UNSC Spirit of Fire and Master Chief. The only reason that SGT Johnson couldn't be infected was because of Boren's Syndrome. It is wide speculation that this means he is a Spartan I (ORION Project), however it has never been in any of the novels (or games) that he took part in that program. And Boren's Syndrome is an actual disease in the Haloverse, caused by plasma radiation. The degenerative properties caused by the ORION Project mimicked these symptoms, which is why a lot of the SI's were diagnosed with it. And it wasn't that the flood COULDN'T infect Johnson, more along the lines that they didn't WANT to.
  11. Oh this will be a long list indeed... lmao 1. Cortana 2. Tifa 3. Tali 4. Yuna 5. Samus 6. Anders 7. Zelda 8. Rikku Those are the only four that pop into my head straight away.
  12. What these type of things normally do is give you better grip on the stick or make the stick longer so that you can move it with more finesse. They don't necessarily improve your accuracy, but they can help.
  13. This is very, very unlikely. Let's take some facts into account.1. Master Chief is the center of the Halo games. 343i has announce there will be a Halo 5 and 6. 2. This is the first Halo game that 343i has done, and the community is kind of iffy about them as it is. If they kill off the chief on their first game, it's blatantly obvious every single Halo player will be very, very angry with them, leading to a serious drop in sales for Halo 5 and 6. 3. The cutscene looks to take place just after the Chief reaches the Infinity, which is towards the beginning of the game. Who are we going to be playing as if the Chief dies in the beginning of the game? These three facts pretty much shatter the theory that he dies in Halo 4. If 343i kills off the chief in their first run at Halo, then they are going to lose the largest amount of players ever seen. That's not only bad for business, but it's corporate suicide.
  14. From what we've read in the books so far, the Didact is far from evil. This is why people are reluctant to believe that he's the ancient evil.
  15. I was never able to use the newb combo effectively, and never had it used on me effectively either. The only way someone has managed to kill me with a PP/BR combo was when their teammate finished me off after they broke my shields (and died, mind you). Also, a few of you are too young to remember this but it wasn't called the noob combo because it was super effective, it was called the noob combo because a lot of people tried to do it and failed like the noobs they were. That's why it's rarely even tried anymore. As Twinreaper pointed out, it's only effective in close range, and when either you already have the PP charged (which drains the ammo), or when your opponent doesn't see you. If you don't have it charged, by the time you get it charged and switch to the BR, you will already be dead from a BR/DMR 5 shot. Just like in all of the Halo games so far, the newb combo will see a rise at the beginning weeks/months of Halo 4, then will die down again once people realize just how stupid it is to try this. I don't mind the PP being a secondary weapon choice because let's face it, if there is any weapon in the entire Halo series that is actually underpowered, it's the Plasma Pistol.
  16. I imagine it would be Class I, Division 2, Group D, if that makes any sense to you.
  17. Depends on who's giving the classification, but it's a Class 3 flammable material by federal regulations lol The little federal sign thingie is a 2-3-0, if that also helps to answer your question.
  18. Custom games can be easily rigged to include this type of gameplay, but from the sound of it you are talking an actual matchmaking gametype, right? If so, I think it's a decent idea, but I don't imagine it would become hugely popular. Maybe if it was added to action sack (or the H4 equivalent) first to give the people in charge some figures to see how popular it would be. Also, this is the second time I've seen you mention 150m enhanced radar for 5 seconds lol Forget about Forerunner vision? xD
  19. I wouldn't say it's questionable. People don't get banned for respectfully expressing their ideas and opinions lol
  20. Well the way that they have Halo 4 set up, you do get rewarded for teamwork as well.
  21. Did you know that Kurt was the first Spartan II to gain an officer's commission? And that he is directly responsible for the second Spartan II to gain an officer's commission (Fred)? He promoted him! Did you know that every numbered Halo game (CE, 2, 3, and 4) has been released in late September or early November?
