  1. While that does make sense, I don't think thats true because in the scene I described above the captain of the Infinity says he wants a course laid out for a station as soon as they can travel. So it seems as if they could leave by choice.
  2. Oh, and I know some people are still wondering whether the forerunners were actually human, so I just wanna say that they were not because in the forerunner saga forerunners have been physically described and they have significant changes compared to humans, for instance, instead of hair, they have a fuzz around their body, and when forerunners decide what they will do as their career, they gain mutations so their body is prepared for that career, and as they ranked higher in that career, they'd gain more mutations. Take the prometheans for example. They all originally started out as simple warrior-servants, but once they ranked up all the way to the promethean class, they gained one last mutation that made them so strong they could easily crush the skull of a human with one hand.
  3. So you're saying that the chief has to stay still so Cortana doesn't lock his armor? Sorry, that's what I took away from that.
  4. Yeah, the Adam and eve thing fits into the canon without causing any disruptions. Spark called many humans reclaimer as it is a title given to the whole species by the forerunners. The forerunners knew humanity would become their successor and 'reclaim' the mantle, hence the reclaimer title.
  5. Well the thing that wants off of requiem doesn't want to use the infinity, but has another way off the planet. The cutscene starts with Del Rio saying "The Infinity cannot handle that kind of puncture, not again." to which Cortana replies "It's not about us or the ship anymore.". This makes me think that ajohn and Cortana are planning to perhaps sacrifice the Infinity to prevent "him" from getting off of requiem. Think of the end of Prometheus, where the captain of the ship slams the ship into the engineers ship. While it is possible the Timeless one did transfer its mind into another entity, you need to know that the monitor in priordinium was not 343 guilty spark. If you look at the book again, you can see the O.N.I. science team speaking to the monitor aren't sure about it's identity, they simply label it 343 G.S. so they can gain more attention and funding. I read a theory somewhere on the halo waypoint forums that said that Chakas's monitor was split into 7 fragments, the halo array monitors. This is supported by the fact that the monitor says something like "I see one of me has already given you trouble." Priordinium is a set a few years after the events of Halo 3. So that could only mean he's referring to Guilty Spark. When it was stated that the monitors voice was similar to Guilty Sparks, it was because Spark was a fragment of Chakas
  6. Sure, this is where I originally saw it. They showed it at the Halo Fiction panel at SDCC, but it was cut out from the official recording http://www.343industries.org/forum/topic/11416-cut-scene-from-halo-4-acted-out/
  7. Well the original Didact was killed by Faber, but his imprints remained on Bornstellar, and we can't know for sure whether or not he died during the firing of the Halo arrays. And the Didact never hated humans, it was even said that he respected the species alot, so there wouldn't be a reasons for him to hate us. And the Prometheus we fight in Halo 4 aren't the prometheans talked about in the novels, these are defense A.I.s while the ones in the books are powerful forerunners. Of course anything could have happened from the end of Priordinium to the firing of the Halo Arrays, because I think that the reason the Didact needs the librarian to temper his rage is because he is definitely ticked off, and this could have something to do with Silentium
  8. I think that the prisoner of charrum hakor gave itself to the flood, but I dont think it said that the other precursors who were waiting outside of the galaxy gave themselves.
  9. Well he said he was the last precursor, but when it was revealed he was a gravemind I thought precursors were just a ultra advanced god like form of flood, but your right because i think it said there were other precursors in the galaxy, so maybe the prisoner of charm hakor was just a flood infested precursor because I do believe it was a precursor somehow

    Arbiter?

Sometimes I wish he the front of the Forward Unto Dawn didnt split, and Halo 4 would be about the relationship between Arby 'n Chief. But then we wouldn't be able to explore Cortana and Johns relationship which is more interesting IMO
  11. Well that takes place in the middle of the campaign because they showed that whole cutscene at comic-con and the captain of the Infinity wants to leave Requiem so Cortana says I will not let you leave this planet, and in that cutscene they're talking about not letting "him" leave the planet, so I think the ending will have to do with stopping "him" otherwise it would just be a cliff-hanger On Conan they said that scene happens around the end of the game, with the Infinity preparing to go to war, an epic battle where the ending will take place and I'm sure will be huge and dynamic. The only way I think the game could end that way is from the scene in the E3 trailer that shows chief turning towards the camera with Spartan 4s behind him, that would be pretty cool. Chief just facing the hangar doors as they open and sees an enormous battle with humans, prometheans, and maybe even covenant. John then starts running towards the fight and like the Halo 3 starry night commercial, would jump off a hill onto a leader Promethean, credits roll. But that would just leave the ending open, when 343 clearly has to set up Halo 5, even though that could start in that epic battle. And let's not forget Spartan Ops, which takes place 6 months after the campaign, so it'd be a really stupid move to end the campaign right before a huge battle, and then tell players about it in spartan ops. Either way 343 has to at least show the war Infinity is heading towards, and I'm expecting it to be the final battle in halo 4
  12. I'm pretty sure that is concept art for the Promethean Knight because it is general design is basically the same and if you listen to the part of the concept art trailer where that concept art comes from you hear a screeching sort of sound. In the E3 demo, right after the player picks up the scattershot, a knight jumps towards the player and the same screeching sound is heard, the knight even looks like that as the two arms are the small biological arms, while the bigger arms are out of view. Remember, only the left side of that frame by frame pic was seen, the right side was just flipped over. And the last precursor was killed by the Didactic so that might complicate things....
  13. Yeah, I'm not sure which stage has the A.I. kinda stable but still prone to crazy bursts, but in the cutscene shown at comic-con, it shows cortana and John arguing with Infinity captain Andrew Del Rio, who doesn't seem to be their biggest fan, and they're talking about not letting "him" leave Requiem because all of humanity will be at risk. Del Rio then goes on to talk about how Chiefs a hallucinating againg spartan, and how Cortanas a malfunctioning A.I. which makes me think Cortana has already exhibited her rampancy to the crew of the Infinity. Thomas Lasky, the protagonist of the Forward unto Dawn web series/movie p, then asks Del Rio what if Chieqf is right. del Rio goes on to say something about getting the ship moving A.S.A.P. then the really interesting thing happens. After Del Rio says that, some lights in the ship start to shutter and Cortana flashes red a couple times and the clip from E3 is shown where she yells at the captain "I will not allow you to leave THIS PLANET!!!!!!". This clip gives us an idea as to how her rampancy is progressing because at this point it seems as if she isn't going nut burgers crazy town, but rather as if shes using this power from rampancy to achieve her goals. I don't know much about the stages of rampancy so if someone could explain that to me a little that'd be really helpful, or maybe I should watch that episode of RvB again lol
  14. Thanks and you guys have amazing signatures
  15. I think this theory is probably true. If you read the forerunner saga so far you know that the Librarian take the memories and thoughts(gaeas) of some ancient humans after they defeated them in the Forerunner-Human War, and implanted them into humans after the forerunners devolved them. A prime example of this would be chakas, an ancient human who was a friend of bornstellar and had the gaeas of the Lord of Admirals from the Forerunner-Human War. The fact that he had these precious memories saved chakas's life as the Didact saw them as valuable and turned a mortally wounded Chakas into a monitor who would have a fragment of it created named 343 guilty spark who, as we all know, greatly impacted the events of the Halo trilogy. This could mean that the Librarian could somehow look into the future, and see that John would have to become an important part of the the Human-Covenant War, so The Librarian gave him one of his most defining traits through the Didact, a super-powerful promethean: luck. The Librarian could've easily done what Halsey did and took the Oppurtunity to clone the Didact and turn the clones memories into gaeas. This would explain how John felt like he remembered some stuff, because he has been in his memories. Also, I'm pretty sure spark, an advanced forerunner monitor, would need John to remove his armor, he could've just sensed the presense of his old friend the Didact. And in the forerunner saga it has been stated multiple times that the Didact respects human, and that he was against creating the Halos and instead opted for building shield worlds, such as requiem, that means that he wouldn't just be angry that humans show up at his shield world for no reason. The only problem with this theory is the part that says the Didact is dead. It has never been confirmed that he was' he could've easily travels to Requiem and get into his cryptum(I'm not saying that's what happened, I'm just guessing). In an interview Greg Bear, author of Halo Cryptum and Priordinium also said something along the lines of there are two Didacts. Also, in the description for Silentium, it says "Only the Ur-Didact and the Librarian—a husband and wife pushed into desperate conflict—hold the keys to salvation.". Notice how it says Ur-Didact instead of simply the Bornstellar Didact. According to google translate, Ur is a German prefix that translates to primordial, which means original. So the description is basically saying "Only the Original Didact and the Librarian—a husband and wife pushed into desperate conflict—hold the keys to salvation.". This might not make sense though because in Cryptum Faber, the master builder, claimed to have executed the original Didact. Faber could have simply said this and really keep the real Didact hostage and manipulated him into hating humans, which could be a possibility for the voice of the infamous "I have long dreamt of this day Reclaimer" line. I'm a little confused as to how the original Didact could hold the keys to salvation if he was somewhat brainwashed. While many people are also wondering about the symbol of the Didact and the symbol in the E3 trailer, I think that the original blue symbol belongs to the Bornstellar Didact, and that the red one belongs to the Ur-Didact. I think they are the same symbol, the Ur-Didact's is just red and filled in because he was changed so much. These are my thoughts on the whole master chief is Didact, Didact is ancient evil theory, though this doesn't fully explain the enemies and the red and blue Promethean A.I.s, I might start a thread later discussing that topic. All in all, I'm expecting brief answers to these questions in Halo 4, but I'm expecting Silentium to completely explain these answers.
