  1. I do Heroic for my first playthrough. A challenge, but still cinematic. I might try my first run of 4 on Normal though. Never tried that before..
  2. ...Extremely nice find. Nice assassinations too. Very brutal, which is always good.
  3. I've decided to just read all the books, partly for fun, partly to understand the story. After I read all of them, I will be sure to watch Halo legends. (I've already read a few of the books) For anyone that wants a more specific list that goes in chronological order: Forerunner saga comes first with these books: Cryptum Primadorium One sequel that is not released yet Then all the other books: Contact Harvest The Cole Protocol The Fall of Reach (NOT a retelling of Halo: Reach) The Flood (A novelization of Halo: Combat Evolved) First Strike Ghosts of Onyx Glasslands Then two more sequels that are unannounced.
  4. I am a massive Halo fan, don't get me wrong. I thought I knew most of the general concepts of the Halo Universe from information that I had gathered over the course of many years. Go figure that the majority of what I knew only spanned back to the Prophet-Covenant war. I knew some tidbits of the Forerunners, and the basic rundown of them, but not as much story as there happens to be. I did not find out until earlier today that the symbol in the end of Halo 4's E3 Demo belonged to the Didact. Apparently I missed out on much more than I ever thought. What books etc. should I read in order to understand more about this universe to be a bit more coherent in Halo 4? Would this include Halo Legends, which I never got around to seeing? All and any media I would be willing to get into, so any help would be appreciated. Tl;Dr: What fiction outside of the Halo games do I need to be a part of in order to get a better grasping of the universe leading up to Halo 4, which has much more to do with the Forerunners than ever before.
  5. I LOVE Reach, and still play it daily. I just didn't like how the Custom Games and the Forge tool for said Custom Games became way too difficult to figure out than what could be considered 'user friendly'. At that point, less CG's were made, and more of my friends started selling the game. Halo 4 will fix all of this, though. I have faith in 343i.
  6. This would be a SWELL thread 3 months from now..
  7. ODST. It's gonna happen, but i'll still be happy when it does.
  8. ...The grammar in that made my eyes bleed. Regardless, I do have a consensus with you on part of this. While 1-50 was great, and Arena kinda sucked, I still didn't mind the Reach ranking system as much as others do. Also, dedicated servers are very hard and costly to have and maintain. Just saying. I LOVE them, and want nothing more in Halo 4 than dedicated servers, but it's just so tough to do.
  9. No Legendary edition. Only a Limited edition. $99 US. Link on Amazon: http://www.amazon.co...ds=halo limited Link on news: http://www.videogame...ry_edition.html -------------------------- Limited edition is WAY worth it, IMO.
  10. I meant a public beta. The closest thing I ever heard was that in an interview 343i said that that they were 'Not working on a public multiplayer beta at the time' Which, for the giant optimistic fan of Halo in me spelt out that It could happen.
  11. Jorge was the most developed of them all, IMO.
  12. 'If it would get bought, you can be damn sure somebody somewhere will create it.'
  13. Halo: Reach's objective type forging could be way to difficult than it should be. I would LOVE it if they fixed it.
