  1. The people that want the BR back to 4shot kills... Stupidest idea i've ever heard. 1. You're complaining about the DMR being OP and think it requires a nerf. Lets trade this OP weapon for that one instead so we can relive halo 3! 2. You'll end up complaining about the BR being OP after as it will do everything the DMR did just faster. 3. This will essentially turn halo 4 into halo 3 again. The gun used 99% of the time was the BR. There was no diversity in weapon preferences because the BR just outshined everything so easily at all ranges. This includes long range or did you all just happen to forget? At this rate just reskin the DMR with the BR model and give it lightrifle scope damage.
  2. Just spam the trigger as hard as you can... Well that may work if you're playing a bunch of kids with down-syndrome. But no, sorry, the ability to maintain a k/d in that sense over a long period of time means you dont play like an idiot and charge in 100% of the time. Maintaining it requires good decision making. Personally i think a 2.0k/d is achievable by every single person. Play smart, shields are there to give you a fighting chance and reaction time, not encourage you to rambo 1v4 every game. In medium range, DMR and BR are equally matched, personally i dont see the BR losing anything over long range either but that's my experience with it. Any change applied to the DMR will have to be applied to the BR and also the LRs zoomed in firing mode. Close range, a BR is greater chance of success than the DMR. The BR has burst where the DMR does not. This allows for more recoverable errors in accuracy. If you miss once with the DMR that is 100% of the damage scource from that shot. If you miss entirely with the BR then the same applies, though it is easier to maintain damage on target with the BR because you have the spread of 3 bullets to follow your crosshair as you move it. Miss one bullet of the burst? Its only 33% damage less than the full burst. 2? thats 66%. one bullet hit and you're still 33% more damage applied to your enemy than 0% from a missed DMR shot. So i suggest people learn to aim. One miss from a DMR is fatal, you can miss 2/3rds of your shot from a BR and still come out on top. On the argument of assault weapons... No just flat out no, assume both people of equal skill can keep their shots trained on each other throughout the firefight then the AR and SAW will always beat our your DMR, BR, and LR from medium range to close, the SAW in my opinion is a little too accurate for the type of gun it is. I've full auto sprayed people too easily from what should be ineffective range for an assault weapon and beat out someone with a rifle of some sort.
  3. The point is, you mocked him without any basis. He gave insight on a future strategy for you. Move when it is safe, not in front of enemy crossfire. Simple. I literally LoL'd
  4. Not one drop. Just a nice deductive ability called common sense which seems to be lost with a select majority. =p What the hell are you getting at? Just stop...

    Medals

Personally i enjoy getting an assist medal for shooting someone even once and to be honest that even makes sense. Think about it, your bullet hit them, you have applied damage to the enemy, you have assisted. It now is a legit marker of the enemies that have died but you didnt finish off. There's a lot of medals that i enjoyed in reach but aren't released in a similar fashion in H4 at all. Exterminations are removed and now impossible to attain because of instant respawn. That really bummed me out, it was always great to hear the announcer just point out how badass you were with that medal that game.
  6. Pretty much this. But i do find it pretty hypocritical of 343 to nerf nades in reach because of nade spamming then come to halo 4 to find a tool to help you spam more nades. 343 = successful troll
  7. It's funny, really. Release day/rest of reach's lifespan: "BLOOM SUCKS GET IT OUT OF OUR GAME YOU FOOLS. CATERING TO NOOBS THAT CANT AIM AND JUST SPAM IN CLOSE RANGE" Halo 4: ^ pretty much everything there except close range is now long range and get out bloom is get in bloom. Whatever happened to adapting and learning game mechanics rather than ask settings to be handed to you on a silver platter? You're not even a casual gamer at that point. You're a child that had his ball taken away from him. I maintained a near 2.0 k/d with the addition of bloom and my usual hyper aggressive playstyle in reach. I'm currently near a 2.0 k/d in halo 4 at the moment without it as well. Simply put, learn how to use your weapons and adapt rather than sticking to your old beliefs and running balls deep into every situation thinking your old methods will work 100% of the time.
  8. Did you not fully read my post? Clearly i stated the BR does lose some accuracy. However it is not significant enough to make a huge difference. The LR will always outgun a BR and DMR user of equal skill in a long range fight. This is the situation we are talking about. Long Range. I have stated how the LR is balanced by being unzoomed. You are informing no one any new information. Also, that is the point of a team game. To get advantage through use of terrain and map awareness. In a legitimate standoff im completely comfortable with people hunkering down that way. In the sense of someone camping around a stupid corner all game, i'm not. There is a difference between tactical prowess and complete chicken**** motives. If the DMR doesn't belong as a starting weapon than sure as hell neither does your BR or the LR for that matter. Carbine here we come!
  9. You realize that the DMR and BR take both 5 shots to kill someone right? The only difference is the BRs MINUSCULE loss in accuracy over long range, which to be honest isnt enough to change anything if you know how to use it. The DMR is fine, the BR is fine. What i'm surprised is you havent stated anything about the Light rifle. You know... The one that only takes 4 shots to kill you instead of 5 and is dead on every shot. Though the LR is balanced by being significantly weaker when it is unzoomed. LR if anything shouldnt be a starting weapon in a big map gametype. But then again its unlocked at a fairly low level so its your own fault for picking a weapon not suited for your situation. Big map? Start with an LR loadout at beginning, kill someone with a DMR/BR whatever suits you, pick it up. Destroy people with LRs in close range. Easy.
  10. That makes sense, right? Pay 60$ to never play it. Sorry, if i don't like a game and i paid the money im playing through it to get my worth out of it then scrapping it for money back. Also people don't come to forums to please you. Sorry, but with maturity comes the lessons of tolerance. Here, that is your only option. On another note, Silence is deadly. Without criticism the halo franchise wouldnt have come as far as it has. They listen to their community. It's how business works. Good day, sir. Now, on topic. A classic playlist would be most appreciated. The team slayer pro is nice but it isn't classic. Though, i do wish they had a version with the DMR preset rather than the BR. The BR in this game feels a bit off to me. Not horrendous, workable, but something feels off and idk what it is. Anyways, I'm looking forward to a Big Team Battle playlist with objectives/classic slayer. The infinity BTS feels off to me as well.
  11. In previous halo games the BR would kill with 4 shots to the head. people seem to forget though that each burst is 3 bullets. It allowed for one mistake in precision. One body shot with three other shots to the head would prove fatal as well. This is because in the 4 shots to the head 3 would drain shields to a incredible minuscule amount. The first bullet in the last burst would destroy the remainder of the shield and the next round would be fatal. The third bullet wasnt necessary. In the terms of the one bodyshot three headshots being fatal that is because of the final bullet being the fatal one and the previous two knocking out the rest of the shield. I thoroughly thoroughly remember these instances. I played far too much halo as a kid.
  12. I forget where but i remember there was an article i read yesterday that literally flat out said "... last halo game to come out on pc was 2. That being said Microsoft just has no interest in releasing 4 for PC." so good luck.
  13. As much as i dislike it from a competitive standpoint, logically, it makes sense so i can't really complain.
  14. Light rifle is an odd gun but incredible if you know how to use it. DMR = 5 headshot kill. BR = 5 headshot kill LR = 6 headshot kill (unzoomed), 4 if zoomed.
