  1. I don't know how any sort of confirmation of an MLG playlist would happen soon, unless MLG actually confirms Halo 4 for the Pro Circuit... and if they do confirm it for competitive play again they have to confirm settings for the game and fix the current bugs in the game to make sure they aren't manipulated for use in tournaments or online play.
  2. MLG playlist probably won't be released for a while, MLG doesn't even technically have "Official" settings yet, an another event is not even confirmed yet. So until the day where they do release information on whether they will continue Halo on the Pro Circuit, don't expect an MLG playlist until a little while longer, or even at all. Sorry if it at all sounds pessimistic, I just feel that Halo in the MLG community is a Phoenix rising from its ashes, and is still struggling to get to its feet again on the competitive scene.
  3. I am not promising anything but I will definitely try running games if you want to. I'll PM you on XBL too my GT is the same as my 343i username. Here's a link to my stats just in case you wanted it: https://app.halowaypoint.com/en-us/Halo4/General%20PWNFACE/wargames/
  4. For anybody who missed the Championship last night, the first ever Halo 4 Champions are Warriors (Legit, Ninja, Ryanoob, Goofy). They swept Ambush (Snip3down, ApG, F0rmal, Heinz) in a best-of-7 series, in an exciting match.
  5. for anybody having issues getting the halo 4 tournament stream to work off of the MLG website just click here on the video window to watch http://www.twitch.tv/mlg_halo_4 I hope nobody missed that last series of FJ vs Triggers Down, unexpectedly tight series with TD winning 2-1. I'm just absolutely shocked they managed to do so well against a team that had a lot of positive news coming into this event
  6. Thanks for the link I got busy with my family and actually missed a lot of todays broadcast. I'll be sure to be a lot more helpful with announcements tomorrow

  10. The MLG Tournament this weekend will now be hosting a throwback match between 2009 str8 rippin and 2009 Triggers Down, am I the only one thats excited about this

  11. IMPORTANT UPDATE! A Rematch of the 2009 Str8 Rippin VS 2009 Triggers Down will be going down 7:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday Night the rosters for the teams are Str8 Rippin: T2, Elamite Warrior, Legit, and Snipedown were as TD's Line Up is SK, IGotUrPistola, Heinz and Hysteria. There is another MLG Classic match lined up but the teams are still TBD. The First Matchup is still to be confirmed, but the official MLG Schedule lists the Match to be occuring. This will of course be an epic rematch of the 2009 Anaheim National Championships, where TD won the series 6 to 5 finishing off the series in dramatic fashion with an extremely tight game 10 on Construct TS, and an amazing game 11 where TD dominated Str8 Rippin to win the National Championship. I know I'm looking forward to this matchup, and so should everyone else ANOTHER IMPORTANT UPDATE! Plans for a 2v2 of OGRE 1 and 2 vs Roy and Lunchbox have been confirmed by The Halo Council, this will be the first MLG event OGRE 1 will be playing at since his announcement of retirement from competitive play
  12. I literally posted the exact same topic this morning at 7:30... Why is there all of a sudden TWO MLG Forums??
  13. This thread is for the upcoming Halo 4 MLG tournament in Dallas this November 2nd through the 4th. You can discuss the upcoming event here, and post any comments or feelings about it. To avoid any confusion, yes it is before the actual release date which is November 6th. Obviously there isn't a favorite team yet to win yet, but the crowd favorite is sure to be Instinct; consisting of Roy, Lunchbox, Ogre 2, and IGotUrPistola. The following links will allow you to find out more about the tournament. More links may be added at a later time to make information more easily available, such as direct links to the current stream. 14. This starting strat is interesting it's not my style, but its effective in it's own way. Sending all four in push towards rocket is smart in a few aspects, but can lead to a few certain downfalls if there is a small misstep. Sending all four to get rockets basically assures that you get the rockets off start, but the three players that do take the rocket hall push will be guaranteed to have plenty of nade damage, which if that teams "sniper" has a quick and accurate shots (i.e. F0RMAL), could take down the man that is flanking the group from the opposing team, and leave the group of three weak, with no backup. However if the man does get through and the sniper is either not paying attention to callouts or doesn't even have a mic, then in a CTF match you would have more than likely three opposing players down to start off from the rockets and you could get an easy flag cap to start off the match, assuming like I said that the sniper wasn't paying attention or was just bad. I like this strat but I don't like that the main slayer on your team wouldn't be grabbing your team's sniper rifle to begin the match, at least until rockets are secure. However, if you are playing with a team without a clear cut main slayer with a decent sniper shot, then this would be the perfect strat since nobody would have the name on the sniper to start off the match. However the mid game setup is pretty solidly said, its one that the team I play with use on a frequent basis, and its usually super effective EDIT: Just out of curiosity, do you think that Halo 4 MLG will actually have Pit? It's my personal favorite to play but I don't know if they will bring it back, since a lot of the maps from H4 are supposed to be symmetrical for the most part to help with the competitive Halo scene.
