They are almost a zombie race you could say, which zombies are very very powerful in numbers and flogged the UNSC and the covenant. The flood are much stronger than zombies also, and the Didact is a lord, Imagine the Didact out of his little ball and fighting the flood thousands agaisnt him. Who would win? Not to mention if you read the books you know exactly how crazy the flood really are. Didact vs the flood? Unless he has the composer he will loose right away. The Didact is strong, powerful, but runs out of ammo. Flood? No. But if you were to put just 'One' Didact, how many of the Flood is he fighting?One hive? Sure.
