Father B
Dallas Green (Alexisonfire, City and Colour) for his candor, and honesty. Daniel Victor (Neverending White Lights) for his harmonic genius in making duets and songs for performers of certain sounds. Dave Genn (Matthew Good Band*, 54-40) for his musical genius and wild guitar riffs. Gord Downey (The Tragically Hip) just for being epic for the last 30+ years. Matthew Good (Matthew Good Band*, solo) for being incredibly poetic and insightful, and unabashedly honest. * Matthew Good Band disbanded either in 1999 or 2000. Also, all of these guys are amazing Canadian artists who write much of their own music and lyrics, and do so without pandering or "selling-out" to increase the size of their audience or fanbase. Matt Good refused to accept a music award back in the 1990's, stating that he had no want or need for the recognition of other artists, rather that his fans and his love of making music is all he needs. "How much someone makes does not determine what they're worth as a person. It only provides them with expensive enough clothes to cover up the fact that they're in love with a lie." — Matthew Good
