  1. What it is: Basically, it is the same glitch from Halo 3 where you would have a over-shield or invisibility in your inventory, except now it is shown on the outside and can be done with custom power-ups. How to do it: 1) You cannot be connection host 2) Pick up an armor ability (such as Jet-Pack) 3) Crouch and walk up to the desired power-up and hold your weapon pickup button (RB for Recon) 4) It should drop your armor ability on the ground and the bottom of your screen should look like it is on fire when you look down. (picture below) Some other things: - If you do the armor lock glitch then do this glitch with camo, from some angles your torso will be invisible - When people shoot your power-up while wearing it, it hurts you and can kill you - When you get on a mongoose, the power-up moves to your head, so it looks like you have an afro - Sometimes it will be around your feet instead - If you do the armor lock glitch, then this glitch, then run over an active camo, you'll be invisible except your feet and head. If you crouch, you're completely invisible. - Apparently, it has a large failure rate and takes many tries in some cases... Heres a pic of the three colors (with armor lock glitch on):
  2. I just tried this on Halo Waypoint and it is pretty cool. At the end of every terminal you find in CEA, there will be 5 symbols, if you write these down (in order) and press X at the main menu for Waypoint, you will see a combination of multi-colored circles, press the buttons on you controller matching these colors, and you will be brought to a page with several symbols you have seen in the terminals. Enter the symbols in the order you saw them in the terminal and you will get 7000 Credits!! (37000 for the terminal in "The Maw") The terminals must have been found and activated in your game for these codes to work, so you can't just use youtube, although it helps with remebering the codes, as they do not vary in different copies of CEA. This is a nice boost of 100,000 credits total in Halo Reach, so go out there and find some terminals. -Snake :sorcerer:
  3. I'm sure most, if not all, of you have seen or heard of the GRD dolls on the new multiplayer maps... The use of this topic is to discuss rumors/theories on what the heck these could be used for or why they're even in the game. I know, "It's just an easter egg " but still, there has to be some kind of purpose. Discuss at your heart's content. 3, 2, 1, GO! -- Andrew
  4. As with the Reach forum, this is the official Technical Help thread for all things regarding the CEA edition of Halo as well as the original Combat Evolved. Same rules apply as the Reach forum one. Ask your tech questions, and myself or others will do our best to answer them. Ready set go!!!!!
  5. What are everyone's ideas for some cool new sandbox features in Halo 4. Things which we have always thought would have been cool. Some of my ideas: Climbing- When you stand near a steep object or incline (like a tall crate or cliff) you are given a command prompt to climb the object. Swimming- I've always thought it was the stupidest thing that you couldn't swim, and that you actually drowned in 6 feet of water. I can understand that bungie was using the water a parameter for game-play but if Halo 4 has the massive maps we expect it to they need to let Spartans swim. For example, when you walk past your head in water you stow your weapon and use both hands to swim, steering and thrusting with the left and right sticks. if you wanted to swim underwater, 343 could limit that ability by giving you only 20 seconds of air or something. Going Prone- This really needs to be included. I mean, some people might argue that that is "to COD", but what kind of soldier never goes prone in battle. It drastically improves your sniping accuracy and is a good way to get out of the crossfire if you need to regain your shields. Kicking- An interesting melee attack if the controls are right. Kicking would deal more damage then a standard melee and could be instituted by holding down the melee and trigger at the same time. What does everyone think? Some new actions in Halo 4 would be nice and i would like everybody who reads this to give their opinions.
  6. PREFACE: Upon the release of CEA I'm sure there are quite a few of you out there who have been seeing/doing tricks and glitches in the game. I mean, they're fun and interesting, right? Well, I know of great place for you guys to find tricks and glitches to try in anniversary, and to catch up on your tricking lore. It's called the Halo Stunting Video Archive, and can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/h1stunting There you can find over 280 Halo: Combat Evolved tricking/glitching videos, spanning all the way back to the first real "trick" video ever released, , which was released 01/30/2002 by Randall Glass. I keep the channel up to date with the latest tricking/stunting videos and try to create handy playlists that you can use to find certain "sets" of videos on topics which you are interested in (Like ) Check it out, and if you like what you find click the subscribe button to stay up to date with the latest Halo 1 tricking videos. If you want to help out let me know. You can help me find videos, update video descriptions, and make playlists for the channel. There's always more work to be done, and I would certainly appreciate any help you can offer. Enjoy. -Mator FAQ: Stunting? Stunting is synonymous with tricking and glitching. The word was first used by Halo (PC) multiplayer trickers/glitchers in 2004-2005. You'll see I use the words interchangeably when talking on forums. This is because they really all (generally speaking) refer to the same sort of phenomenon, oddities in video games. However, when you get into the nitty-gritty they are different (like apples and oranges). How many tricks/glitches do you think there are there in Halo: Combat Evolved? The answer to this question really depends on what you consider a separate trick/glitch. Using the same general method you can produce hundreds tricks in different areas of the game, but does that make each application of the method a new trick? The answer to this question will help define the answer to the "How many?" question as something between 1000 (considering only fairly unrelated phenomenon tricks) and 10,000+ (if you consider getting into each and every rock in campaign and multiplayer a separate trick). Why did you make the archive? I made the Halo Stunting Video Archive because I love Halo tricking and because I had seen so many great videos disappear over the years. So I decided to take the initiative and make an archive where all such videos can be found and preserved (for you and those who follow!) There's so many videos! Where do I start? You can just go random if you want, that's always an easy solution. Or you can try to start with some of the really old videos. Check out the playlists for , , , , , and . These videos are mainly from before 2005, and will give you a good background on some classic tricks. Once you're through with those check out , , , and some of the more modern video playlists ( , TFA, Ladders, etc.). 7. This challenge is only for the players that pre-ordered Halo CEA, sorry for those who didn't. The challenge is to activate Grunt Funeral, Boom, and Foreign skulls. Then to choose the mission of your choice, on Legendary. For those who has not found Boom or Foreign, got to youtube and go to RoosterTeeths channel. Reply here if you made it, or what you think of this.
