  1. A TV has shown up hinting towards zombies. As many of you may not know, apparently this TV is in Nuketown suggesting that there will be zombies for sure and the map Nuketown will be one of the maps. Read below for more details From: http://www.computera...m/homepage.php? By: Tom Ivan for CVG UK Fan favourite game mode to be expanded in the latest Call of Duty. Activision has released a new video teasing the upcoming reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2's Zombies mode. Earlier today the official Call of Duty Twitter account tweeted a link to the video below, along with the following quote from Edward Richtofen, a Nazi scientist featured prominently in Zombies: "Power, power, power, power! It's always the first priority." Treyarch has said that the fan favourite Zombies mode will run on Black Ops 2's improved multiplayer engine, allowing for double the players and double the undead. There'll be fresh game modes too, with a Zombies campaign set for inclusion, according to a recent Amazon product listing. "Treyarch have given their zombie team free reign to do pretty much whatever they want with the mode regardless of the direction the campaign is headed in," we wrote in our first Black Ops 2 preview. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EoJmYnZtqWI&feature=player_embedded
  2. It's been reported that Black ops 2 and Far cry 3 were the best selling games in period of Dec 30th 2012 - Feb 2nd 2013. More details below. Credit to lil dog for this article. This article is from IGN The NPD Group has revealed the top ten best-selling games in the United States for the month of January. The best-selling titles in the United States for the period between December 30, 2012 and February 2, 2013 were the following: Call of Duty: Black Ops II (360, PS3, Wii U, PC)** Far Cry 3 (360, PS3, PC) Just Dance 4 (Wii, 360, PS3, Wii U) NBA 2K13 (360, PS3, Wii, Wii U, PSP, PC)** Madden NFL 13 (360, PS3, Wii, PSV, Wii U) DMC: Devil May Cry (PS3, 360) Halo 4 (360)** Assassin's Creed III (360, PS3, Wii U, PC)** Skylanders Giants (Wii, 360, PS3, 3DS, Wii U)** FIFA Soccer 13 (PS3, 360, PSV, Wii, Wii U, 3DS, PSP) NPD analyst Liam Callahan noted that January marked an unusual five-week reporting period for NPD, but noted that “an adjusted figure can be computed for trend purposes: multiplying January 2013 sales figures by 0.80 (four-fifths) will normalize the five-week period to a four-week level.” “Overall retail video game sales (hardware, software, and accessories, would be down 13 percent, instead of up 9 percent, if sales were normalized to account for the 5-week January,” Callahan noted. “When taking into account the 5-week month of January 2013, normalized sales of hardware were down 17%. Based on looking at trends of a normalized January 2013, software dollar trends were down 19% from January 2012.” Callahan said Far Cry 3’s ranking marks “the first time since January 2002 with Final Fantasy X that a December launch has ranked second in the following January.” He added that Ni No Kuni “was just outside of the top ten game ranking at eleventh” but would have ranked at #7 if sales of individual games weren’t combined into groups by platform. Callahan added that PlayStation 3 software was down 2% compared to last year (when adjusting for the five-week period), and 3DS sales were only down 4%. He also noted that accessory sales were up 4% compared to a year ago, and that “Skylanders accessory sales continue to impress and made up five of the top ten accessory SKUs sold this month.” On the hardware front, Callahan notes “Xbox 360 led hardware sales again this month. This is the eighteenth consecutive month the platform led overall hardware sales and the twenty-fifth consecutive month it has led console hardware sales.” Microsoft said in a statement that 281,000 Xbox 360s were sold in the United States in January and that $338 million was spent on Xbox 360 games, consoles and accessories for the month. While Nintendo didn't provide specific sales figures this month, Gamasutra reports that "cumulative three-month Wii U sales are down 38% vs. Wii's first three months on the market."

  4. This thread is contributed towards the video game Black Ops 2. Those who read this are reading back-to-back spoilers, which is my term for saying, spoilers that change the campaign. There are different scenes, and 2 different endings, (this entire paragraph is a spoiler.) When you play as Farid, you have a chance to prove yourself loyal. Menendez wants to know who the spy is, if you shoot Harper, you prove loyalty. (Farid is never mentioned again in the game.) If you choose to shoot Menendez, he blocks it and calls you a traitor, then shoots you; Harper stays alive. (This impacts the campaign, 'Karma' dies in a future cut scene, and Harper helps you out a lot throughout the campaign.) Another mission, you play as Menendez, you have the choice to kill or wound Admiral Briggs. ('Karma' is killed if you chose to save Harper, or Karma is saved if you chose to kill Harper. She is mentioned twice if she lives after this scene.) Salazar pleads Menendez to just wound him. If you choose to wound him, China blames America for everything because the drones belong to them. (Admiral Briggs is never mentioned again.) If you choose to kill Admiral Briggs, China decides to work alongside America. (Depending on if you saved Harper or not; Harper will kill Salazar on sight when you see him again when he's captured.) Final Mission, at the end you have the choice to either kill Menendez or arrest him. If you choose to Arrest him, a year later he escapes a containment facility and goes to meet Frank Woods, he then tells Frank “I knew Josefina lived the entire time, when you threw that grenade. I saw her files, she died from the fire.” then he cuts his throat with a pendanant. If you chose to kill Menendez, David and Woods go to the cemetery for memorial day to visit Alex Masons grave, David says he's done with the military, just for his father. Later, a riot breaks out in America, and a revolution begins, the White House is burned and the military is crippled and the PDF rise. (Which are Menendez's private military/terrorist group.) At the very end of the cut scenes, Menendz and Woods play a song just for fun. This cut scene is non-cannon, but it happens at the end of the game after the credits, no matter what. Woods gets out of his wheelchair and Menendez says “Wha-?” and Woods says “Oh that old piece of garbage? I'm just to lazy to get up and walk around.” This ends the game. Thanks to those of you who have read this. My first playthrough was by killing Harper, wounding Admiral Briggs, and Arresting Menendez. My second playthrough was having Farid die, killing Admiral Briggs, and killing Menendez. I do not know if this changes the campaign ending results, but give it a try if you wish! I just posted what I have done. There are 2 more alternate cut scenes involving DeFalco, and another involving Kravchenko. This video is the alternative endings.

  12. Treyarch have released a new trailer teasing more zombies. We don't see zombies in this trailer but it's obviously hinting zombies. Read below for more details From: http://www.computerandvideogames.com/homepage.php? By: Mike Jackson for CVG UK In what looks like in-game footage, you see a bus pull into a post-apocalyptic urban setting, before catching a glimpse of zombies - which appear to have been hospital patients - going mental and wrecking the bus. "Are you ready to take a ride?" teases blurb accompanying the video. The developer also released the above teaser screenshot, with the caption, "The calm has ended - they are beginning to return." Black Ops 2 Zombies makes its 'world premiere' on September 26, confirms Treyarch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UoZ2o_2QMOE&feature=player_embedded

  15. What do you think about my -don't show up on foes motion sensor with the trade off of not having your own personal motion sensor "perk"? And do you have any ideas for "perks" of your own? As far as I can tell, 343 is rebooting the Halo system, thus, anything is possible with Halo 4 which I believe isn't a bad idea. Straight up Halo Reach sucked with respect to the total number of online players in 2011. We all know that Bungie is very competitive, but they just could'nt beat COD Black OPs, COD MW3, and COD MW2 which were is this order the most played standard 360 games online for 2011; http://xboxlive.ign.com/articles/121/1216016p1.html Now in order to keep a series of which many think has been going on for way too long alive, 343 is doing what any business would do in order to keep up its popularity level for the purpose of profits. . . THEY ARE TAKING A RISK TO SEE IF IT WILL PAY OFF - TO LITERALLY PAY OFF. Let the game be out for about a half of a year, and after everyone who plays the game unlocks everything they wanted, you then will really see whether or not Halo 4 will live up to its hype. Because as of now three COD games and soon to be one more COD game stand in the way of Halo 4 reaching that number 1 spot. Will they do it? Personally, and after watching the new COD Black Ops 2 MP trailers, I say not!!!!!!!!!!!!! The proof is in the past, and you can't argue with the past. COD B-Ops II will most likely hold that number 1 spot through out the ending of 2012 and through all of 2013 in sales and in numbers (regarding to only the 360 here). However, this doesn't mean that I am not going to play Halo 4. As I do now, I will be playing both of the games, and personally, because 343 seems to be taking a big risk with Halo 4, this is the game I am most excited about purchasing and will prob. be buying first. Customization seems to be the new trend in online MP gaming, and this is something, not that the COD franchise invented, but is something that the COD series made very famous for the online gaming community. Yeah people can argue that Halo is better (all though the current numbers don't say it is) in that it is more competitive (which it is in every aspect because in past halo games everyone would begin a match on an even playing level), but lets be honest here, compared to the online gaming community, the number of actual mlg players who actually and honestly care about this is very low. How I said before, 343 will be after numbers, and in order to attain those numbers in order to improve the "Halo name" they will have to be targeting the online gaming community more so than the mlg community. Due to this, if a lot of the mlg or mlg-related players have complaints about the game when it is released, I am sure that their arguments will be very strong. This will probably lead to 343 making some sort of game type specifically for the mlg'ers, but in the end, the new mode (infinity slayer and in its "meant to be played" type) is what everyone will really care about. Overall, I think the game will be perfect for newcomers and for people like me (depending on if there are enough attractive customization possibilitites for everyone), who just like to casually play, and who are not really into that whole mlg scene. Once more, yes COD Black Ops II will beat out Halo 4, and yes I am happy with 343 taking Halo in a different direction and will still be purchasing the game. PS - Go out Nov. 6th to buy Halo 4 instead of voting for either the trash on the right or the trash on the left. Why vote for slime when you can be playing Halo 4?
