  1. Happy birthday, Chewie! ;)

  2. Correct! Your turn! Scoreboard: Drestel313: 1 pt Liana: 1 pt Fiery Knight: 1 pt Chewin3: 1 pt Zaguroth: 1 pt
  3. Really apologize for being away so long! Halo 4 and life has kept me busy. Any which way, here's the riddle: Destroying me is not an easy task, even though you may defeat me, there will always be another. What am I?
  4. @Chewin You bring forth a very convincing and-- again-- a thorough post on Loghain. You are right, I've never had Loghain in my party, and haven't had a chance to talk with him. And after several youtube videos, I see him from a different perspective. Not saying I like him, but I can agree on that he isn't inherently evil as I presumed earlier. Thanks for clarifying that to me!
  5. Well I have only played so far the story but I have to admit that it is AMAZING! And I'm glad 343i has focused on the relationship with Cortana and Chief and other characters in the story, instead of favoring space battles and other similarities. And the graphics in the game are astonishing! Really, not only are the characters very well done, Requim is so detailed that I've been baffled multiplie times already. My only complains so far has been that the enemies seem to be very predictable. When I learned how the prometheans roll, I mostly know how to deal with them. It's still fun though. Will return when I have finished the campaign.
  6. First of all, very thorough post, Chewin! It was an enjoyment to read. But I have some questions, and disagreements I'd like to point up you had about Loghain. You took up that Loghain is not a evil person. Well this is what I disagree on. To prove my point, here's a list on what he does in Dragon Age: Origins; Loghain betrays his own people and lets his King die. The death of the King throws the land (Loghain's land!) into complete chaos and civil war, in which many more of his people die. He plots with Uldred to overtake the Mages Tower, which results in a catastrophe. He employs a blood mage to poison Arl Eamon, the only person who can stand in his way to the throne. He trades in elven slaves to fund the civil war Allows Howe to torture and murder people unto the destruction of an entire line of nobility So yeah, these deeds kinda makes him an evil character. it's okay to like him, but saying he is not evil is not simply true.
  7. Ah, there was a playdate hosted. Heh, never mind then!
  8. *sees people have gotten a BCAM award* I hate to ask, but can I get one as well? I did have the banner since it was announced this movement
  9. I agree. Not only was Thrawn a badass villain, the trilogy was badass as well. Really recommend it for SW fans.
  10. Personally, the artwork included in the LE Strategy Guide makes it for me a must buy! Hopefully Gamestop will sell them here. If not, I'll order it from Amazon, as long as it won't get sold out. EDIT: OK, it seems it IS available at Gamestop! It will be mine!
  11. What!? No horses? Crap... Well having people from Rockstar is a huge plus! They know how to create games, and locations. And a released date for Destiny for 2013? Sounds pretty exciting!
  12. Totally supporting this! GO PINK!
  13. Hmm, you sure? I was under the impression that Frank O'Connor stated that you can highjack them. Though then again, he could have ment that "grenade thingy", derp.
  14. Okay, this thread hasn't seen any figures lately, so I'm gonna portray two more I've been reading more about recently. Abraham Lincoln - This man saw past his own mistakes and beliefs to free the slaves. He could have taken the easy road and kept agreeing that slavery was needed and was a good thing. Instead he changed his views and philosophy on the subject and efought for what was right and succeeded. Uesugi Kenshin - A Japanese warlord in the 16th century. He is famed for his honor. His largest most powerful rival, Takeda Shingen, who he had fought many times had his province cut off from salt from another warlord. In those days salt was really important. Kenshin, upon learning this ordered the merchants in his province to sell salt to his bitter rival for at a reasonable price. Kenshin said something to the effect of "I make war with swords, not salt."

    Samus And Master Chief

THIS. IS. THE. Best picture evah!!
  16. Halo: ODST. The feeling, atmosphere, characters was amazing! And I liked the change in style, having the medpacks (again should I say) being more fragile which resulted in you having to be more tactical.
  17. Hah, I feel little like you're my friend from Syria! No but seriously, I can see your point of view, and learning more of "unknown" history through experiences like yours is a great idea! Maybe I should do something similar as well!
  18. Well said, and I totally agree with this! AC manages to tell some believable stories in the universe, but it does shine thanks to its rooster of characters. I mean, when I played Revelations for the first time, and got to say goodbye to Ezio and Altair, I was really heartbroken. Heck, I think I shed crocodile tears when That was very emotional, and could only have that sort of impact due to its characterizations.

    Same lines?

I as well am a fan of bittersweet endings, and I think having Cortana die could provide a very emotional experience. Let's think like this, in Halo 4 Cortana struggles with her existence as she slowly proceeds into the three stages of Rampancy. Halo 4 explores these stages, and her "mortality". Chief and Cortana have been together for quite some time, and they have developed this relationship with each other that is more than simple friendship. They both care for each other, and would go great lengths for whatever reason / danger they were / are in. Halo 5 sets the stage where she "dies". Chief is grieved by this but ultimately continues his fight (with whatever threat Halo 4 introduced). Halo 6 Master Chief dies. He manages to accomplish his goals, saves the universe, and is finally reunited with Cortana and all the other friends he's lost in his journey(s).
  20. Above likes My Little Pony (I think) so that's awesome! The lower poster does not like ponies, though that's cool as well!
  21. Hmm, I must admit, I have never heard of these two you listed. Come to think of it, you seem to have named quite a selection of different Muslim figures in your posts, Chewin. Are you interested in middle eastern history or?
