  1. AA's made Reach feel clunky. I agree that the flow of H2 and H3 was awesome and upon learning from the mistakes of H:Reach they'll be able to implement them in such a way to keep the orignial feel. Atleast that's what I'm hoping.
  2. Longest sentence ever. It would be interesting to see what people would come up with if they got to create their own assassinations though. Probably pretty hysterical too.
  3. That's true. But let's face it, people WILL quit whether there is a penalty or not. I think they're going about this the right way.
  4. People will complain either way. I'm more for final kill cams. I just think they'd be hilarious. And some of the kills that take place in Halo are some of the best in any shooter, ever.
  5. Great idea. Along with final kill cams. Epic moments -- I would love this.
  6. Quitters are going to quit no matter what type of system they put into place. If you can drop out/in, quitting will go unnoticed. It will become so common that it will just be part of the game and it just won't matter. You won't be stuck by yourself against 4 people for 10 minutes this way. They're accomodating the rage quitter because they are so prevalent now.
  7. There's not enough room on the controller for a "sit down" button. Sorry..
  8. Joplin, huh? I'm from Springfield. I hope that tornado didn't affect ya too badly. Anyway. I completely agree with the OP on this one. That was their bread and butter. I'll never understand why the stepped away from that. They didn't need to change the game. They needed to update it. Give it better graphics, create new maps, and toss in some extra weapons (grenade launcher). Not change the gameplay. The game played amazing. Who cares about all the bells and whistles? Well people do. They need more and more because they're spoiled and unhappy. It's a game and it doesn't need to meet people's every needs. They put out a game and said, "Here, this is Halo. Like it?" While a lot of people love it, other people want it to change. I say, find a new game. And I think it safe to say that we're all here because we love the gameplay. Why wouldn't you be upset when they change it? Who do you think they're changing it for? Not you, the fan. (That's not a shot at anyone here)
  9. I think the two games should just merge. Or.. OR.. it would be hilarious if CoD went in the direction of Halo 2 and 3 as Halo moves closer to CoD.
  10. It doesn't help that it rhymed?
  11. This is just another thread where the OP is looking to get a pat on the head.
  12. Anyway. It's clear that they wouldn't add anything like this because it would widen the skill gap. This would negate all the hard work that was put into Reach to close it.
  13. Wait, when did they do away with sprint?
  14. I'm thinking that he's talking about triple kills, overkill/exterms. In H3 it was just a swipe across the head of someone that was one-shot, then on to the next guy. It flat just takes longer to kill people in Reach because accuracy is nullified.
  15. LOL and I should be nicer to members? I completely agree with the OP on this one. I'm probably never going to understand why people defend the bloom.
  16. But what if you're a General but what the Reclaimer title? I think this system would work if you were able to choose which title of the three systems you wanted. Either way, I agree with the OP on this. There must be a ranking system like H3. The only thing that I found wrong with it was the fact that I found myself not wanting to play certain playlists after reaching 50. Because I didn't want to lose it. I would like to be able to casually play Snipers in H3 but if I'm sitting at 49 and my buddies aren't online, no way am I playing it. But at the same time, if I knew I wasn't going to lose that 49 I'd play it just to see if I'd get lucky and get a good group. I'm sure something like that would cause all kinds of problems. (people quitting) But with join-in-progress I don't really see any other way.
  17. Ugh. I really wish they wouldn't do anything like this. I would like the idea of being able to pick your primary and secondary weapons though. That way you wouldn't have to worrry about AR or BR starts. You'd just be picking the map, not the gametype.
  18. That will be interesting to see. Maybe you'll switch grenades with the DPad and AA's will take it's place. It would kind of suck to not be able to switch grenades easily on the fly though.
  19. Because Kill Cams are in CoD? Strategically locating enemies is pretty much as simple as looking forward. People aren't in ghillie suits in Halo. They're pretty much right there in your face, shooting at you. And if they do kill you, chances are they have moved on and are not going to be in the exact same spot. So I could argue that a kill cam would keep people from finding out where they go after killing you, making it tougher to find them. As opposed to sitting there and watching them for 3 seconds after you die.
  20. So sonar? Interesting. Glad you can't see through walls with it.
  21. Sprinting players getting slowed while taking damage = good move
  22. How often do you guys get sniped and not know where it's coming from? You swivel around, find the guy, and then watch where he goes. Explain to me how a kill cam would give you up more than a vapor trail leading right back to you, plus, being able to sit there and watch where you go waiting to respawn.
  23. That's your argument? CoD, the camping game of the century, has kill cams and you're worried about it exploiting your exact location in Halo?
  24. Exactly. You always know where your shooter was.
