Okay, so this is the same CoC that you've come to know and love with some minor spelling and grammar changes.

Now THIS part is new.
 
The Events Calendar is controlled by the staff members. Specifically, the Contests and Events staff members. They decide which events are added to the calendar and which events are not. This does NOT prevent you from creating your own events or contests in any way, however if you want your event added to the calendar or to be 'official', you have to speak to one of the events staff. Here's the calendar rules.

It's also worth noting, that if you'd prefer, you can have the Events staff make the announcement thread for you. So if you're not too good at babbling like an idiot, let a professional like me do it for you.

They get grandfathered in. Primarily due to laziness...
